I understand people are upset with the words sumo used but I'm sure that if the roles were reversed shravan would've reacted the same way. Sumo's dad died. Before he left all he wanted was that sumo NOT be with shravan but focus on her goals. And then shravans dad gets blamed for the faulty vests which may have led to her dad dying. She's obviously not in any position to think rationally. how is she supposed to be calm and believe anything when her whole world has collapsed. All she can see is that before dying, she didn't even meet her dad and she disobeyed him and she will regret that forever.
Yes shravan was also suffering but just like he himself realized that if he was so upset because his dad was taken away for questioning, how would sumo be feeling. She lost her dad forever! And she was literally the apple of his eye. Her dad was the center of her universe until shravan came in her life....that's unimaginable.
No, I don't think Shravan would have behaved the same way had the roles been reversed. There is no evidence in the story to support your theory.
From the very beginning, Shravan has been the one who makes more concerted efforts to put himself in Sumo's shoes and sacrifice his own emotions for her sake....so I'm pretty sure even if he was numb with grief on losing his father, he wouldn't have lashed out at Sumo the way she she did. He has NEVER been the one to tell her to leave. While Sumo is the one who has already said this to him once before....so this is her character that reacts in a more extreme fashion, not his.
Sumo's grief is understandable but the harsh words she used are not something Shravan would have used....there is no doubt in that.

Not likely. The original promos of the show prove that Suman has no sense of guilt....she is mainly angry with herself for loving Shravan....so I don't think there will be any attempt from her to apologize anytime soon.
Hmm yes. Clearly the nature wasn't fully gone and her father's death bought out this fact that began to subdue when she was with Shravan and she's said that she was wrong in judging civilians to Kanchan in some previous episode (dunno which one bc lost count now😆). An important incident was required to bring out this point from her & this was the nail in the coffin moment for Shravan.
My point is that Shravan was coming at all of this based on what he thought was understanding between them......that no matter what, both of them KNOW their fathers and KNOW their fathers ki friendship. But Suman basically showed that underneath all the talks of understanding etc, her prejudice against civilians was always lying dormant waiting for a catalyst to come to the fore again.
So yes, a difference in bring words out of the blue vs something that hasn't fully gone away. Huge turn down moment for Shravan. The other day she proclaimed to Vijay that Shravan's taught her this/that and today this discrimination came up.
I don't think she realized her errors fully. She regretted choosing to be with Shravan over her own father & thinking that her life wouldve been destroyed if she remained with Shravan. According to her, her father's passing was some 'sign.' How can you easily label a death as something for giving her akal to not be with shravan? Sorry but I don't get this rationale.Originally posted by: neeraja91

LOL Sumo has flipped on this civilians are bad or not bad point many times in the pre lockdown phase of the story so I don't blame you for losing count😆....I guess it only got subdued temporarily in the high of her love for Shravan but otherwise this was still something she believed somewhere inside her.
Everything she said before about being clear headed about her love and all is now all out the window.....Vijay's letter is like the ultimate bomb that has destroyed everything inside her and she's twisted all that she felt and thought with Shravan.
The irony to me is that everything is hinging on that letter and to me, that letter wasn't even enough of a convincing catalyst for THIS level of twisting from Suman....lol....if they wanted to hinge everything on that letter, they needed to write it more clearly.....maybe show Vijay writing that he DOESN'T like Shravan....lol then I would have found it more believable why Suman went on this rampage against Shravan.

This ! Lol she focused on I couldn't even say Goodbye thanks to you shravan but hello honey at that point you were angry shravan wasn't even anywhere around you were hoping ke papa na aayein saath main and then gave him a side eye😆 Usme shravan ka toh kazoor nahi hai it was your internal issue with your dad shravan ke saath bhaagne ke baad ke duration main toh aap na bhi bhakti toh bhi keh paati caz then you must've been on the plane to pune😆
LOL watching old epis is too ironic right now.....yeh waali gyaan ki devi Sumo who was giving relationship advice to Shravan about not to do rushed breakups and how everything should be "talked through TOGETHER"🤣.....the irony is TOO rich right now.
Gyaan dena easy hai....crisis moment mein follow karna mushkil.
Finally Sumo did what many of us were expecting.....lashing out at Shravan in anger with harsh words.
This isn't the first time that Suman has done this....she previously did it when she was confused about her feelings for Shravan. Suman has had a tendency to get defensive when she's overwhelmed....she gets angry, she lashes out with harsh words and looks for scapegoats....and more often that not, the scapegoat ends up being Shravan....lol....I suppose by virtue of how close he has been to her.
Today's scene had so many parallels to the last time Sumo did this....she again slapped him, she again lashed out at him, and she again told him to leave. She did all these things that night at the fort also when Shravan ultimately got hurt and decided to leave for Indore.
Shravan really got a very raw deal. He literally got slapped by everyone😭 He always puts everybody else before himself:(
Colonel Vijay Tiwari toh lambi game khel gaye....waah kya letter likhi....lol perfectly suited for a long term guilt trip. I guess it was too hard to manage to say this nicely to Sumo when she was trying to communicate with him? It was just easier to guilt trip her long distance ki "Papa ko samjho"? Aur ab toh kuch aur hi level ka "samajh" gayi hai beti Sumo😆
He could have just called Sumo and told her everything instead of writing a letter, if he felt more dejected that Sumo did not say goodbye to him.
It felt like the swing of a pendulum to be honest.....Suman literally swung all the way back to day 1 Sumo who was conditioned to hate all things civilian....the easiest scapegoat to "explain" all issues in life. Her father's final letter basically shut her mind down completely....she feels everything happened to "teach her a lesson"....so now her penance will be to "learn the lesson" of never trusting civilians....which includes pushing away Shravan.
Sumo got an unexpected jolt with her fathers death, she was reeling in with guilt of not saying a proper goodbye to her dad . It got compounded manifold with the news that Shravans dad is indirectly responsible for his death. She had hardly any time to grasp all this and Shravan comes unwittingly to console Sumo, it was the timing of the situation that made it more worse.
She said many harsh things to him today..."Why should I trust you?"....lol what a sea change from two days ago....all the trust evaporated in an instant cuz of Papa ki letter when two days ago she completely trusted Shravan.....but now cuz Papa wrote a letter saying "meri baat samjho", Sumo seems to feel the need to blindly follow everything he said and whatever else she is extrapolating in her guilt. Papa carefully said ki I like Shravan otherwise but I just worry you may get carried away....iska interpretation Sumo ne nikala hai ki Shravan ke saath uski life barbaad ho jaati😆
We have to consider that Sumo at present thinks , Devrajs companies corruption led to her dads death. So Shravan asking her to trust him that his dad would not do any such thing is not going to cut this with Sumo. His dad is after all a businessman and corruption is so prevalant , that she doesn’t even doubt that news could be wrong. So whatever she tells Shravan about civilian is combination of her dads letter, her guilt and Devrajs connection.
Her dad says he really likes Shravan but this is not the right age to think about all this. But in retrospect Sumo thinks she would have been with a family who has no moral values and for whom money is everything( this is what I think Sumo perceives at the moment)
( Again this is a very personal opinion. When Mumbai attacks happened the ATC chief died because of the faulty bullet proof jacket. The rage and outpouring of grief at that time, what I felt and so many of us felt was unfathomable. Imagine the chief of anti terror squad dying just because of blatant corruption in procuring safety gear. This is not related but I guess I can just feel that rage is overpowering)
Shravan should have left her alone for a bit, true....but tragic irony was that he mainly came there to console her....he felt she needed him in that moment....woh toh bas baaton baaton mein he started talking about his dad too cuz that was also weighing on his mind.....and Sumo then started lashing out about his father too so he also got upset. Even then, remarkably, he did initially try to let it go thinking she must be saying all this in anger and didn't really mean it....but Sumo determinedly repeated her harsh words and told him to go away.
This is why I felt everyone was right in their own place. I may not agree with how Sumo behaved with Shravan at all but I feel she needed some time to process everything. Shravan though💔 he just came here to be with Sumo even though his own dad was in such a tough spot. He showed so much restraint and even when Sumo was accusing his dad and saying harsh words , you see that flinch and hurt in Shravans eyes:(( but he still felt that Sumo doesn’t mean all this, she is just saying all this in anger. Awww... Shravan, I don’t know how he dealt with all the blows he got from all sides. This can break any person irrevocably:(
The way Sumo spoke to him doesn't really seem to indicate she's going to regret those words that soon....she seems quite blinded in her grief and anger right now....and has basically deemed him the cause of her doom. That seems like it's enough to push Shravan away.
Right now she is not in a state of mind to think rationally at all. And as the saying goes, if lies are repeated many times it becomes the truth and thats what may happen to Sumo. Her lashing out to Shravan as someone who cannot be trusted does make no sense , she knows Shravan well enough to know that its not true.
Not clear if they will directly jump to the leap on Monday or show some interim scenes before that point.
But for now, only one thing is clear....Sumo will pursue the goal of being an Army Officer more than ever in her father's memory....more as a penance than as a dream now I guess since it has all taken a dark turn.
Sumos only mission in life will be to fulfill her fathers wish. And never to fall in love and only focus on her goals😆
The fate of the Malhotras is unclear vis a vis how Shravan jumps from this point to joining the Army......feels like some more intermittent epis are needed before jumping to 7-8 years later.
Shocker for me was dadu not slapping Shravan😆 he just pushed him😲 Especially on a day when chachu, Sumo and some random guy slapping him
Looks like Beena will give birth to a baby same day as colonel dies. Wasnt it like just 3-4 months into pregnancy? Or did I miss the timeline😆
Bunty- Shravan scene again 💔 Theirs is the only true love:)

I think you are conflating two completely seperate issues. Feeling rage over corruption as a GENERAL citizen and getting blinded in rage and grief to the point where you turn on your own loved one - like Sumo did with Shravan.....these are two seperate things.
When did Shravan ask her to trust him? 😕😆....you are really extrapolating the scene. I'm actually very amazed by how much everyone is able to brush aside Shravan in this scene....he didn't ask for ANYTHING from Sumo directly...he was literally babbling....just a stream of consciousness...and people are twisting that into claiming he was being "insensitive" and "demanding" things from Sumo.
Please point me to the exact point in the scene where Shravan asked that she trust him....he only said that "we both know our fathers na....they could never do something like this"....he never said ki trust me because you love me.
I will still disagree with the claim that both viewpoints are understandable.....the writers did not do a good job of laying out the basis for Sumo's viewpoint....I don't have any issues with Sumo losing her mind in grief and saying harsh things....provided the execution is convincing....and to me, sadly, the execution was not convincing on Friday....the letter is a VERY flimsy plot device to show Sumo twisting it to the extent of "I should have left you way back"....there is just no justification for it.....I would have believed all this more if they had a scene of Daddu ranting and that triggered Sumo....but no....she went to THIS extent mainly cuz of Vijay's vaguely worded letter?😕😆....ridiculous.
And I don't think anything in this epi indicated Sumo didn't mean what she said....lol so many people are trying to extrapolate so much from her behavior when the actual scene didn't have anything like this.....Sumo's heart has hardened, her mind has shut down....she absolutely believes whatever she is saying right now because she has chosen to shut her mind down.....unless I see any nuance to indicate that she is conflicted internally, I'm not going to make this presumption ki she knows Shravan isn't capable of this...Shravan doesn't deserve this blah blah.
