On a "first date", these two decide to play some kind of " 1 - 5 - loser" question game with each other😆. Regardless of the randomness of this game, I liked that it had a sense of getting to know each other after the dust settles from their confessions.....and the added touch of both of them realizing they knew so much about each other without ever really talking about it directly😆. LOL though at the "Ek duje ke vaaste" plug in every other scene now.....it's a little on the nose frankly😆. We get it....they are "made for each other"....does it have to be spoonfed to us in every scene?😆

I'm also not a fan of the season 1 song playing in every other scene for them these days.....what happened to the song choices from the team? Budget khatam ho gaya to use Ayushman or Arijit songs?😆....now they are just randomly playing the season 1 song on every scene with maybe a few bits of the season 2 song.

Ya, even- hum ek doosre ke liye bane hai or we are made for each other would have been better. Writers should have left it to the fans to excitedly make the connection post episode. All of us would be commenting he meant ek duje ke vaaste.

And coming to both the songs of EDKV2, one is too peppy and the other has lyrics filled with angst and tadap and stuff(my favourite of the two), both didn't suit the slow paced, sweet romantic moments. The ek duje ke vaaste chorus of the second song is amazing, especially the instrumental version, but it is suited for more intensity. I'm sure the break up and post leap tracks will be loaded with this.

Also, it helps that I didn't like Shraman from EDKV1 after they ruined the show because the leads weren't getting along off screen. So it's easy for me to imagine only and only SuVan with those songs(which I also love and what drew me to try season 1 in the first place.)

My favourite SuVan teenage romance scene is when she turns back and he comes swinging on the gate, followed by the first phone chat post confession, and then the 5 questions game. Ignoring the ekdv reference both times(I was like way to ruin it dialogue writers, tab tak toh mast chal ra tha).

The season 1 song has a chorus? 😕😆....wow, I must have zoned out in boredom then cuz I don't remember hearing a chorus. The song just puts me to sleep, period and it's a total misfit on this season of Shravan-Sumo.

I didn't like season 1 ka anything....na story, na characters, na cast, na song.....so yeah, it REALLY doesn't help to have season 1 ka stuff chipkaaoed on season 2 which is totally different as a story/characters.

I'm dreading the overuse of this song in the breakup/angsty phases coming up....can only hope they spare us a bit or I'll have to resort to re-editing all the scenes for my sanity.

No, I'm referring to only season 2 songs in that paragraph. The one with the anguish. Doesn't suit the cute moments of SuVan. It's meant for more intense scenes. By second song matlab the one they used for the initial promos with the army phase.

Bold: exactly! Which is why I can easily imagine another couple, that is our SuVan, with those songs playing in the background. I'm not a fan of Shraman(first edkv couple) either.

Ohh you're talking about the slower version of the S2 title song? The one where they keep repeating "Ek duje ke vaasteeee" with a slower/more intense melody? Ok yeah I like that one too.....

The only problem is that the makers don't seem to have expanded the full season 2 title song with more antaras/paragraphs....they have a very limited set of lyrics in the song (both fast and slow versions).....that is why they seem to be running to the S1 song which is longer and has more lyrics in it.

But then as Meena was saying earlier, why don't they use all the cover versions of the S2 songs that the Indian Idol singers have done in the last 6 months or so? Isn't that in-house for Sony? So it shouldn't be a problem to use.....but for some reason the makers have gotten super lazy and are just playing the S1 song on repeat these days.

LOL I never watched till that point in YPNTKH so I don't know about that bike ride.

But you mentioning their shaadi makes me thankful that EDKV2 doesn't have that stuff yet *touchwood*. These kids are still more focused on their life goals than running to shaadi....I can only hope that post leap also they don't rush to make this a shaadi drama, but keep the Army element as per the original promo storyline.

Do the cover songs have positive lyrics though. The song is more sad, like for when the lovers separate and don't want to come in front of each other again. Not conducive to love story in motion.

Yes, they do....see this version....it's just a softer version of the original EDKV2 peppy track....even this could have been easily used on the scenes this week

Hmm, this one is better. But the woman's voice could've been younger. It's too Shreya Ghoshal-ish. Doesn't suit Suman. Guy's is nice.
