Epilogue
(Part 1)
"Pari... Pari..."
"This girl... never listens to me..." Tara was for searching Pari, carrying Pari's school bag in her hand.
"Where is my Princess Pari?" Mrityunjay joined Tara in her search for Pari.
"See, it's getting late and there is no sign of your Princess Pari. I told her not to leave the table until she finishes breakfast, but she didn't finish her breakfast and now I don't know which corner of the house she is hiding."
"She is a carbon copy of you," he chuckled.
"What do you mean? I don't listen to anyone?" she demanded, folding her arms across her chest.
"Yes, my dear Tara."
"Fine. I will not talk to you." She turned her face away from Mrityunjay.
"Did I make my wife an angry bird?" he asked coming in front of her.
She again turned her face away from him, stamping her foot on the floor.
He encircled his arms around her from the back, completely covering her in his arms and pulled her towards him. He kissed on her right cheek making her forget her fake anger and then bit her ear lightly.
"Ouch... Mrityunjay! I hate you..." Saying this, she turned to face him and scold him for this.
But before she could say anything, he sealed her lips with his and released them after quickly sucking her breath.
Tara was still in the moment and living it when he said, "Now say, do you hate me?"
She hugged him tightly. "Mrityunjay, you know how to win me back."
He hugged her back.
"Ok, now find Pari, otherwise our daughter will be late for school."
"Mom... Dad... where are you?? Pari is here... where are you??" called out Pari, coming into the hall from the lawn.
Mrityunjay and Tara came from the dining area to the hall.
"Where were you, Pari? Your mom was worried for you," said Tara sitting on her knees near Pari.
"Mom, I went to say bye to Maria before leaving for school," she said in her angelic voice, making Tara and Mrityunjay adore their daughter.
"So can we go to school?" asked Mrityunjay taking bag.
"No Dad, you can't come with me," she said taking her bag from him.
"And why so?" asked Tara caressing Pari.
"Because you have visitors."
"Visitors??" Tara looked at Mrityunjay puzzled with the thought of who could come so early in the morning. Mrityunjay had not called anyone, then who might be these visitors?
"Where are they??" she questioned Pari.
"They are in the lawn. A man and a woman. They have brought white flowers and were looking very sad. They said this house belonged to their family. They had lost their family five years ago and from then, they come here every year to pay homage to them."
Tara looked at Mrityunjay. Her eyes asked him, "Who could they be??"
"Come with me, I will show you."
Hearing Pari's description of the visitors, Tara and Mrityunjay were even more puzzled. They followed her.
A man near twenty-five years and a woman near twenty-four years of age were standing in the lawn. Seeing Tara and Mrityunjay coming towards them, the visitors started to move towards them. With each step, they were coming near each other and as the distance between them was decreasing, the speed in their walk was increasing. The woman ran and hugged Mrityunjay and the man hugged Tara.
Tara and Mrityunjay hugged them back. The man and the woman were crying like a child which met its mother after a long separation. Tara and Mrityunjay caressed them.
"Vasu... Vasu... Stop crying, my sister..." Mrityunjay was trying to stop the continuous flow of tears from her eyes.
"Bunty... Bunty..." Tara kissed him on his forehead.
"Faltu... Jijaji... you are alive..." said Bunty wiping his tears in complete astonishment.
"Yes, we are," said Mrityunjay caressing Vasu.
"How??? I mean we were informed that you died in a car accident," said Vasu sobbing.
"It's a long story, sister. We can discuss that inside the house," said Mrityunjay, wiping her tears.
"Looks like Mom-Dad forgot to introduce me." An angelic voice attracted their attention. They turned to see Pari standing in front of them, folding her arms across her chest.
"Hi, I am Pari. Pari Aditya Shekhawat." She stretched her hand for a handshake.
Vasu sat on her knees and shook her hand.
"Ok. Dad, I am getting late for school. So I am leaving." Saying this, Pari ran inside the mansion to bring her bag.
"Pari... Pari... wait! Mom is coming..." Tara ran behind Pari. Tara kissed Pari and then made her sit in the car and waved her bye.
Mrityunjay with Vasu and Bunty joined her to say her bye.
"She is so cute, same as Meethi Bhabhi," said Vasu, seeing the car leaving the mansion.
"Yes, she is. Let's go inside," said Mrityunjay.
All of them moved inside.
When Vasu stepped inside the mansion, a tear trickled from her eyes remembering how she used to do mischief, how life was perfect five years back, she had a family in which Dad, Mom, Bhai, Bhabhi were there and now only Tara, Mrityunjay, Pari, and Bunty remained.
Seeing her in tears, Tara caressed her and took her into the living room.
Mrityunjay narrated what had actually happened after their car accident, how Kalavati misguided him and how after being in the coma for five years, Tara met him again and how they reunited after defeating all odds and finally they were here.
"This was our story. How are you two here?" asked Mrityunjay.
