Part 8
Finally, evening arrived. Kalavati left her place with Pari and some of her goons. Mrityunjay insisted he would come after sometime. After Kalavati left that place, Mrityunjay freed Fahim who was much better than yesterday.
At Agnihotri Mansion, the party started after the guest of honour, the District Magistrate arrived.
All were asking Omkar about Sia's health as he had spread the news that in her foreign tour Sia had met with an accident and after that she was in coma for the past five years.
Tara was still in her room worried for Pari, but with her immense faith in Mrityunjay she moved out of the room.
She was descending the stairs with her eyes searching for Mrityunjay when she noticed Pari. Her eyes lit up seeing her, and beside her there was Kalavati.
Seeing her, the events from five years back resurfaced in Tara's memory, how in a single moment she lost her family because of Kalavati.
Bad memories of the past frightened her. Her eyes were still searching for her soul ... Mrityunjay...when she lost her balance and was about to fall from the second last step when someone's hand grabbed her by her waist. She felt that touch so familiar. When she turned to see who held her, the eyes cleared her doubt and yes it was her Mrityunjay. He was wearing a black suit, spectacles and a fake beard. Seeing a good chance, she slipped her phone in Mrityunjay's coat pocket.
"What is this?" his eyes questioned.
Before Tara could say anything, Omkar came to escort her. While leaving from there, Tara signaled him to check the phone.
Omkar drew Tara's attention to Pari and whispered, "Act like Sia."
He introduced Tara to the guests.
In the meanwhile, Mrityunjay searched through the phone and found Omkar's revelation clip in it.
Kalavati was reminding Mrityunjay of Pari and his job of killing Sia with her hand mimicking a gun and pointing it at Pari.
Kalavati wanted to see Sia's face before she dies as she was wondering, "Why Omkar wants his wife dead?? Is she ugly??"
But she was not able to see her in the crowd of people.
"After so many years my wife is back, so I want her to sing a song."
This announcement of Omkar left Tara in shock. She moved her eyes to Omkar who further pointed her towards Pari.
She started.
~Jab koi baat bigad jaye, jab koi muskil pad jaye
Tum dena saath mera o...humnava~
Omkar came near Tara. She moved away and her eyes searched for Mrityunjay.
~Na koi hai na koi tha zindagi mein tumhare siva~
Her worried eyes finally found Mrityunjay. Her eyes were filled with tears but seeing him, a small smile appeared on her face. Seeing Tara's eyes filled with tears, Mrityunjay indicated her not to cry.
~Tum dena saath mera o...humnava~
Omkar was trying to be close to Tara so that no one gets suspicious about her not being Sia. Tara was irritated with this, but his threat to Pari was stopping her from leaving the party.
~Wafadari ki woh rasme nibhayege hum tum kasme~
Her eyes were stuck on Mritynjay, "Mrityunjay, take me from here."
~Ek bhi saas zindagi ki, jab tak ho apne bas mein~
"Just wait for few more moments Tara. After that we will be one." Their lips were shut but their eyes were talking.
~Jab koi baat bigad jaye, jab koi muskil pad jaye~
A tear trickled from Tara's eyes.
~Tum dena saath mera o...humnava~
When the song ended, Vedant arrived. All clapped for Tara's beautiful voice. Omkar announced the cake cutting. Kalavati came where the cake was kept to see Sia, but in the crowd she was again not able to see her.
Omkar made Tara eat the cake by pointing his eyes towards Pari. Tara swallowed it for Pari.
After cake cutting, the guests went for dinner. Meanwhile Mrityunjay made his arrangements to unmask the evil.
The guests started leaving.
"Enough."
A shout stopped them. They turned to see from where this voice came. A projector was flashing light on a wall of the room and a video was being played on it. The man in the video was Omkar and that voice was his.
It was the clip which Tara had recorded in her phone. Everyone was stunned to see the evil side of Omkar whom they considered to be a noble man.
Kalavati too came to see the clip. She was stunned to see Tara alive.
"Tara!!!"
Kalavati went pale seeing her alive. She remembered how since two days Balli was acting more like Mrityunjay.
"This means he got his memory back. This kalyugi Ram-Sita jodi...because of them I went to jail...I had to leave Bhopal...This time I am not going to leave them... I will kill them."
Vedant immediately moved towards Omkar to arrest him. Seeing his truth revealed, Omkar pointed his gun at Tara.
Kalavati wanted to kill Mrityunjay and Tara at that moment but seeing the police, she dropped that plan.
"I will kill you."
Murmuring this, she started moving holding Pari's hand.
Her fear of being caught made her run from the party but she was grabbed by Mrityunjay. He took Pari from Kalavati.
Tara was laughing at Omkar. "Check your revolver before using it." She had already emptied his revolver.
The police arrested Omkar for fraud and human organ smuggling.
Fahim came out of hiding. He was brought to the party by Mrityunjay after Kalavati left her den and announced Laado as Kalavati and narrated the whole event that took place five years back. How she had trapped Mrityunjay in a rape case, fraud in Shekhawat Group of
Companies, killing Radha, Dadaji, Nirmala and the massacre after Pari's birth at Shekhawat Mansion.
The police arrested her too.
Tara gave a tight slap to Kalavati and moved towards Mrityunjay. She hugged Mrityunjay. Pari came to them and hugged them from their waist.
While moving to the police jeep, Kalavati who was fuming grabbed a revolver from one of the policemen and pointed it at Mrityunjay and Tara.
"This time I will definitely kill you."
Saying this, she pulled the trigger. A bullet was fired.
"Ahh..."
Seeing everyone still recovering from the shock of the moment, Omkar and Kalavati ran away.
Fahim had come just in time in front of Mrityunjay and Tara as a shield and saved them and was shot in the process.
"Fahim Chacha..."
Mrityunjay held him in his arms.
"Kunwar Sahab, now I am feeling like I have done something right."
Saying this he died.
Vedant and his team were chasing Omkar and Kalavati who were running away on their feet. They were on a busy road of Delhi, so Vedant was not able to shoot them. Suddenly from nowhere a truck came and crushed Omkar and Kalavati on the road resulting in their immediate death.
Mannat was found guilty and sent to jail.
Mrityunjay, Tara and Pari came back to Bhopal.
When they entered the mansion, a trail of past memories surrounded them. From Mrityunjay's arrival to the mansion as kid, to Tara's arrival as a bahu, their time spent in the mansion with their family to their last day and the massacre done by Kalavati.
Tears rolled down Tara's eyes. Pari noticed this.
"What happened Aunty??"
Seeing Pari with them, she remembered after all the bad things that had happened, they still have a ray of hope with them.
She sat on her knees, kissed Pari and said, "Nothing my princess."
Mrityunjay was holding Pari in one arm while his other arm encircled around Tara, as they entered Shekhawat Mansion to begin the new chapter of their life. Shekhawat Mansion, their own home where would be no place for evil, separation and sorrow but place for love, care and compassion.
