Naina 🤗 We all loved him as sasurpig. Its an interesting role and good for him that he took it on. He's giving it his all.

Ritsie, actually I thought of Gulaal too when some exaggerated and exclaimed this hasn't been done in television and such. But I think the difference is that Kalavati is a central character, a main character. And I think most write about it in that manner--that this is the first time such a character has a pivotal role.

Though even in Gulaal Durgesh did have an important role and was quite integral

Oh..I remember him..Gulaal's rishta was fixed with him when they were kids na! Durgesh or something..when I watched Gulaal I liked how they'd named him Durgesh and him being a Durga bhakt and all! I like such chotta chotta details..And he was fab in that role! Pata nahin main kaise bhool gayi..badam khaane ka time hoying!

And I have to agree I love how VP brings in chotu chotu nazakatein while playing Kalavati! But I wish he modulated his voice better..:/

Durgesh was a start of serial not making eunuchs character as comedy relief. Kalavati & Durga are very scary characters with there goons 😆

Even though this isn't the first but it would be a first time it actually saying what the character has gender identity issues, instead of avoiding it like the elephant in the room. On Thursday episode, did see when given a complement how Kalavati blame Goddess for putting her in a man body.

Yes I agree Durga did look better, but Kalavati has a better style. Kalavati wardrobe can put some women to shame

WOW! This thread needs to be resuscitated with Kalavati's selfie.. So here... 😉

I NEVER expected that scene.. but I gotta admit.. I look forward to her 'nautanki' daily.. I think selfie shot scenes were done excellently by VP.. That posing with her signature 'adaa'.. And mashallah that silver/ white makeup.. and that haar-shingaar.. 👏

Also her equation with Faheem chacha.. Something fishy there? He's the first one to show her the mirror always! Takes care of her room when she's not in Thakur's haveli but taunts her at the mosque! Comes in to support her in the upcoming elections as well! Looks like they are quite fond of each other- nahii? BTW its Rudra (and not Kalavati) who's running for elections, right?
