Sadly I missed the Rukmini haran part, the part which I was eagerly waiting for😭 Even today I couldn't catch the repeat due to guests😭 If I'll get time I'll catch in on youtube. I hope the video has already been uploded by now...😕
Tonight, unfortunately, Rakhie Sawant has bumped off DBSK from the 10-12midnight slot, 😡 maybe they'll show it tomorrow
I liked the war sequence between Balram & Shishupal plus Krishna & Rukmi. But it wasn't enough for me😉 I love watching the war sequences more; I wish they could have showed it for some more time. It's really fascinating to watch Sword fighting, Gada fighting, & those arrows from both sides colliding & the explosions that take place when they collide, the divyaashtras & all that, I just love it😃 It's more exciting to watch
Yeah, for me, that's the most interesting/exciting part of an episode. I was a tad disappointed that it all got over in one episode. Also, as I noted, Rukmi, Sishupala and all were maharathis - chariot warriors. Why them, any cavalry warrior on horseback would be @ a disadvantage if confronting a chariot warrior, assuming they were equal.
But yeah, the special effects were awesome - particularly the way the swords sparked when they clashed, and also how the arrows exploded, and how some of Krishna's arrows 'survived' the explosions to go on and knock off Rukmi's bow, turban.
I feel a tad cheated watching this serial - first, they skip the 16 wars b/w Krishna & Jarasandha, and then, they dilute this major battle that took place b/w Balarama and Jarasandha. Looks like Sagar Pictures is a bunch of wussies 😆
Btw why Shishupal alone?😕 No Jarasandh, the man who recommended Shishupal's name to Rukmi?😕 Looks like Jarasandh got angry bcoz of Shishupal dressing up like a woman & sneaking into the palace to catch a glimpse of Rukmini, that's why he didn't go to help Shishupal & left him alone to get defeated by Balram LOL!🤣
I noticed this as well. Looks like the introduction of Shalva, Dantavatra and his brother Vidyarath a few episodes ago was completely wasted. Actually, they should have shown them all battling and losing to Balarama. In the promos to this serial, they showed Krishna & Rukmini riding away amidst an army - here, they could have expanded on that by showing a battle b/w Jarasandha's army and Balarama's.
When Rukmi was humiliating Krishna, Krishna kept on smiling & when Rukmi went on to humiliate the women of Dwarka, the sudden change of expressions on Krishna's face was very well done by Vishal👍🏼Poor Rukmi, what a punishment! 😆 Rukmini seems to enjoy writing letters to Krishna & that also with without ink. Why not, after all, Gods can do anything😉😆 & I feel they can understand any language so no comments from my side on the script used😆
Yeah, from the writing on the scrolls, Rukmini seemed to have used one of those gold ink gel markers - that's the only type that could have written on a fabric scroll. 😆
I wonder why Rukmi didn't go completely bald; I mean those few strands of hair near his ears & in the middle part of his scalp😲 Who did his latter hair-cut?😡 Bring that person in front of me...I'll ask him is that the way to do a hair cut😆
Dunno what originally SB says, and dunno whether you've ever read the Amar Chitra Katha 'Krishna & Rukmini', but there, this is more or less what happened. On Rukmini's plea, Krishna decided to shave half Rukmi's hair and the other side of his mustache 😆 on the grounds that such a punishment was worse than death for a kshatriya. He himself tied Rukmi w/ one of his garments, and using his sword, did the shaving (a sword seems dangerous for this sort of thing - shouldn't Krishna have used a dagger? 😆) After that, Balarama arrived and rebuked Krishna for doing that to a relative, and released Rukmi and told him that he's free to leave.
So they did change the story a bit here. But the half shaving deal was accurate, if the ACK account of it is.
Seriously Krishna-Rukmini have no privacy with all the gods watching them from above😆
The interaction scenes between Balram-Krishna, Balrma-Rukmi, Krishna-Revathi, Krishna-Rukmi were very well done👏 I liked it
Sagar Pictures are copycats - they're doing what was done in AS Ramayan. There, Shiva, Brahma and others attended Rama's wedding, and here, they're attending Krishna's wedding.
One thing that mnx pointed out - will Vishnu-Lakshmi also visit, or will they just watch it long distance from above (since they don't have TV)? And if they do attend, whose wedding are Mahadev, Indra and others attending? 😆After all, how often is it that one gets to attend one's own wedding 🤣
When Balram went to invite Rukmi, Rukmi said that if he comes to the wedding then his moustache won't be cut off again, now that was a really funny statement made coz now Rukmi doesn't have moustache so how will one cut it off again?😕😆 He'll have to grow it back again first, won't he?😆
Maybe given how Krishna & Rukmini were both stalling, they should have delayed the wedding until Rukmi's hair and mustache both grew back 😆 In fact, I thought it was a tad insensitive of Krishna to invite him b4 his hair grew back. 😆 And why those strands of hair islands on his head? He should have had it cleanshaven like Jarasandha (incidentally, 20 years ago, Puneet Issar didn't look like someone who'd lose his hair)
Priya as Rukmini just gets better & better day by day Vishal is really good & I feel he can do even better😃 Hemant is great as Balram👍🏼now I don't' mind his head-band but still I wish he was given a mukut😊 It would give him a more royal look😃 Gauri as Revathi is just perfect👍🏼 👏Whenever she comes on screen I just can't ignore her at all. Her expressions & dialogue delivery is so smooth. She's a very spontaneous actress I don't know the name of the actor who plays Rukmi but I must say he's really good👍🏼
Yeah, he is, and he's by now a typecast villain: he played the role of Shaurya's mom's friend in Kashi, and the role of Pappu in GkD. I'd say in Kashi, he got away unscathed, but in GkD, Babuaji wrecked his wedding and stole his dulhan, and now, here, Krishna has stolen his sister and had Balarama's charioteer practice cutting his hair, since he doesn't drive Balarama's chariot very often thanks to Krishna's peacenik proclivities in this serial.
Balarama's charioteer has to do something other than that to survive, and so he's practiced his haircutting on Rukmi. Maybe after the wedding, he can use that to start his own salon 🤣 He's good - can you imagine how difficult it is to cut someone's hair w/ a sword - they didn't have scizzors, razors and clippers like today's barbars do. So Balarama's charioteer is one versatile guy 👍🏼👏
