I've moved the post here, since the bulk of it was about DBSK, and then some others. Commenting inline...
Others, I'm just continuing a discussion about the serials we watch, which for this one was mainly this show, and a whole bunch of others as well. We'll keep it as relevant as possible, so bear w/ us, or just ignore this particular sub-thread

Ok so only Shani Dev & CGM are in the charts. BBCG has gone but DBSK...looks like the Sagars need to make the story telling a bit more gripping with the mytho facts. Fiction is allowed but there's a limit😵 I'm not saying all they're showing is fiction, it's just that fiction is increasing with a dramatic filmi touch...& that's disappointing
Yeah, see my views on that in this thread, as well as the thread that has the same name as the serial.
And BAVD...do I need to say anything😈
Nope 😆
Vrish

Durvasa had gone to Gokul to test Krishna whether he was God or not. It was shown during Krishna's childhood. In fact, Sagars went to the extent of showing the kid Krishna & Radha as God & Goddess to Durvasa. JSK created a lot of confusion regarding Radha as an incarnation of Lakshmi...that's why I got confused😕 Btw what's that Ambrisha incident...I'm really bad in memorizing names😳 Maybe if you explain a bit I'll remember it😳
Ambrisha incident - I was referring to last week's Shani Dev, where they show an incident where Durvasha gets sprayed w/ color during a Holi celebration in Ayodhya. He gets mad (as usual) and takes out his wrath on Ambrisha. So Shani advises him to do a Vishnu puja, which Durvasha tries to sabotage by exacting a promise from the king to not break the fast w/o him. But the way this vrath went, it had to be broken @ the exact time - no earlier, but no later either. So the king, on the advise of his pundit, took water @ the moment the fast was to be broken, so that both promises would be intact. This was where Durvasha stormed into his palace and cursed him again, but this time, Vishnu, on the appeal of Shani, let off his sudarshan chakra to chase Durvasha all over the place until he apologized to Ambrisha.

In the serial episode, Shani seemed inserted: in the original story, from what I read, there was no Shani, and Ambrisha was one of Vishnu's favorite devotees (say, like Dhruva). So when he saw Durvasha tormenting him, he gave him the scare of his life 😆

Btw in BBCG is Shikha the sister of Jai or the wife of Ankit's character?(forgot Ankit's name...starts with the letter D...I guess😕) Well the wife of Ankit's character is not actually jealous in my POV...it's just that Sarika had scolded the servant during the ring ceremony saying which bewakoof told him to bring hot water...that bewakoof word striked her & she's taking revenge on Sarika. Since then she's not only against Sarika but suddenly she doesn't like doing the household chores... a big loophole by the CVs coz it's not convincing at all the way she turned negative just hearing the word bewakoof👎🏼 It's natural for Jai's sis to get jealous as Santosh never understood her own daughter & now is letting her DIL studyAmazingly except Jai's sis, nobody had problems with that parampara thing😵 who later readily got married & that too happily😲
Actually they did, but seemed to happily squish those desires. But as I argued in that forum, the fair thing here would be to allow the other 4 bahus more freedom, just like Sarika has, so that there are no resentments. Wonder if that's how it'll end?

It's only if I get the remote in my hand, I keep DBSK otherwise it's BV. If my parents miss BV at 8 then they'll stay back to catch the repeat at 11 so I hardly get to peek into DBSK in the first day itself, mostly I catch it on the next day repeat so most of the time I don't comment anything in the update thread. And when it comes to mytho or histo...I prefer to watch it myself rather than relying on updates. It's only in fiction, I get satisfied only with an update & can stay without watching it. That's why I'm not active in the DBSK forum... I mostly love to comment when I watch the episode😉
Oh, I see - I thought you weren't watching, or weren't as enthusiastic about this. That's fine - we can discuss this whenever you've seen it and come here. I've made a playlist of all the episodes so far - happily, Imagine TV now uploads episodes of all their serials, although this serial seems somewhat spread out. Anyway, here is where you can watch (ImagineTV is currently missing ep 8, 10 & 11, and I've aksed them about it.
20 videos
Dwarkadheesh

Ashish will be entering maybe in August. The track going on is most probably the last track before the leap. Once this track is done, the show will take a leap & I'll miss Rushi a lot...he's too good!👍🏼

Too bad, but I don't know that story, or at least this version. And I've missed too much in b/w to follow it now.
Today I saw only the last scene of Preeto where finally Aditya has entered... a very filmi heroic entry😆
Yep
If RBO is ending then why not watch SBS😆 Btw why is everybody in serials losing their memory power? & that too not the full memory just partial in which the lead actor/actress forgets his/her spouseI'm seriously bored of watching this track in almost every serial in all the channels👎🏼 Btw I wouldn't mind if such a track is shown in BAVD...just imagine Murli losing his memory & forgetting about Bharti & once again starts hating her just like Man is torturing Geet all over again😆
Yeah, that'd be too funny

Vrish are you the DT of DBSK forum too? I'm asking bcoz you brought my post here. So that means I have no work on the BAVD forum😆
Vrish, I didn't realize you were talking about Shani Dev, so I got confused with the Ambrisha incident. I don't have idea whether it took place before or after. It depends on which Yug it took place😕

Janakiraghunath, personally I felt Mahavir Hanuman was not so bad despite the liberties Sagars took. The show had the drawback of being dark & gloomy plus the costumes & looks of the characters was not so impressive, but the story presentation, scene execution was good & the background score was simply superb along with good performances by the actors. But the biggest drawback for the show in my POV was it got telecasted at the same time slot of Shani Dev(8-9 on Sat) which was another Sagar show on Imagine. Two shows of the same production house of the same genre(mytho) coinciding at the same time on two rival channels was definitely not a good sign for the latter. I always had confusion which show to watch as I wanted to watch both of them coz I love watching mythos. I wanted to watch MH but always had to catch it during the repeats as I didn't want to leave Shani Dev for it. Had MH got another time slot then it could have done better bcoz Colors is a powerful channel & has a large viewership plus mytho lovers would have definitely loved to tune into it to see what the show is all about. At least I would have been a loyal audience to MH...😳

Well, personally I feel mythos can never get boring at least for me. I like watching histo & mythos but I prefer mythos over histo As I said earlier, mytho is a brand name in itself & has its own loyal audiences who just love watching it.

Just bcoz DBSK has gone out of the TRP charts which is sad, but it doesn't mean it won't get back. There have been times where Shani Dev too landed up outside the charts a few times but it always made its way back into the charts. It's a mytho show & in my POV, the best show of Imagine It's the only show of Imagine that has shown consistency in the performance in the TRP charts👍🏼

I have always felt there's a big loophole in the story telling of DBSK It should have started where JSK ended. By skipping many tracks & starting off with the Kalyavan track was not a good thing done. Along with the liberties, the Sagars should take care that they don't change the facts completely coz audiences might lose their patience.

The Sagars are to be blamed if one gets bored or unsatisfied with the performances of the actors. In my POV, all the actors are doing their parts well & are acting according to their respective characters the way it is being portrayed on screen. If the characters themselves are getting messed up, then how to blame the actors, blame the CVs for it.

No, Vik, I'm not the viewbie here, it's just that as viewbie in BAVD, I can send a post or thread from there to any forum, so I moved it here 😆 Yeah, for BAVD, I'm just going to do my vacuuming & mopping, otherwise, no longer interested in the contents of that forum either.
I used to consider the Sagars unmatched (although I didn't agree w/ their preferring Tulsidas over Valmiki for what to use in Ramayan, and have had countless arguments w/ Janaki over that), but after the wierd Luv-Kush adventures in going to Kuber-lok, that confidence in them was forever shaken. You should have been a part of Ramayan forum then - we used to make endless jokes about those episodes. If you sample some of the Ramayan archives, you can have a good chuckle reading them 😆

Do you remember the scene in the AS Ramayan where Shani promises Hanuman that any devotee of his who prays to him would be guarded from Shani's 'evil-eye'? So here, logically, people should have watched MH instead of Shani, and they'd have done both - avoided Shani's evil eye, and also got extra protection by watching MH. But looks like most TV viewers are masochists, so they just went ahead and watched Shani, while poor MH was left languishing.

Mahavir Hanuman was not so bad in the beginning, as I did give the show a chance before judging it, but they dragged Bal Hanunan's stories too much. Hanuman's childhood was no where near as long or detailed as Krishna's, and we viewers can tell when they bring in rakshasas like Putana or whatnot in Hanuman's childhood, except under a different name.😆 Even the current Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali is doing the same, which is why I quit watching it. Perhaps I'll continue when Hanuman grows up and the story becomes more accurate, but the Sagars tend to elongate Hanuman's childhood in all their serials based on him, and that too unnecessarily.
But yes, I agree with you. I too prefer mythos over historical shows as our puranas are very close to my heart.😊 The divinity and magic in our epics are not there in our historical stories, and often it is not easy to tell when a director makes up something because we don't know the stories that well. And I give all mytho shows a chance before liking or disliking them, especially if they are Sagars' productions. But like Vrish said, they are taking more liberties in their storyline these days. :(

Ya Vrish, I remember that scene. And that's why I got confused watching Shani Dev coz in one episode, it dealt with Ravan getting punished due to the nyaya chakra of Shani. I was actually remembering that scene of Ramayan & thinking if Shani was imprisoned by Ravan then how come his nyaya chakra was working to get Ravan punished😕

Well Shani did give the boon to Hanuman that one who prays Hanuman would be saved from his evil eye...but the Shani Dev show seemed to be more powerful than MH LOL! Btw did you watch that episode of Shani Dev where during his childhood, Surya dev sends Hanuman to bring Shani back home & Shani doesn't listen to Hanuman so he wraps his tail around Shani & drags him all the way back home. That scene was really funny as all the Gods were enjoying that moment coz Shani had been troubling everybody.

Janakiraghunath, I agree the childhood of Hanuman was being dragged but I didn't mind it LOL! I felt it was adventurous to watch😆

I unfortunately missed the first few episodes of Shani, like his wife's curse on him, his battle w/ Mahadev and so on. Wish I could get to re-watch it somewhere.
There was also this funny scene (actually several) of Ravan electrocuting Shani - that too was a source of laughs for us in the Rakshasha fan club in the Ramayan (yeah, there was one 😆).

Here, it also shows how Ravan defeated Shani - that battle too is funny to watch 😆

Well Vrish, I had watched the first chapter of Shani Dev which dealt with Vikramaditya but I had missed out many episodes of the second chapter of Shani Dev which dealt with Shani's life due to power cuts & exams. I had watched that Hanuman track on youtube but sadly now I don't find videos of the show on youtube of the earlier episodes & Shani Dev despite being the longest running show of Imagine has no forum on I-F. Where to discuss Shani Dev?

Shani dev has been shown so strong in Shani Dev serial that it's so difficult to digest the way he got captured by Ravan😆 Btw it was funny when Mandodari had asked Ravan who Shani was saying that his even only his back looked so dangerous...🤣

OMG!!!😲 we're discussing Ramayan & Shani Dev in the DBSK forum🤣

There is this thread in the Mytho forum - we can discuss it there.
I forgot to mention - you can watch the entire week's DBSK on Satudays @ 10pm-12:15am, and be fully up to speed.

Yeah, if we don't mind watching something like the Animated Hanuman movie #2.😆 Did you see Hanunan in baseball garb? OMG!🤣
Btw, anyone know who's going to be mod of this forum? I want it to be someone who's active here and follows the show, not just a famous Viewbie from another forum who knows nothing about mythos.

Vrish thanks for the link😊 I was searching through all the pages of Mytho Masti forum & opened many links but my eyes never caught this thread😳

Janakiraghunath😆 I don't mind watching animated mytho movies. But they have to be good. I guess you're talking about Hanuman Returns. I watched it but I didn't like it. Imagine Narad Muni singing Om Shanti Om with his tanpura in rock style🤣That movie was completely crazy😆 The first part was good dealing with Ramayan.

There's a difference between being dramatically adventurous & filmi. I can't handle filmi situations I get bored easily🥱 But animated mythos cross the limits in terms of cinematic liberties, which I feel is wrong coz it misleads kids with wrong info who watch it😕

Btw did anyone catch the Krishna's animated mytho(forgot the name of the movie). There was a scene where Krishna & Balram go to Mathura for Kans Vadh & they showed that Krishna had met Rukmini there. Her shawl had got blown by the wind & landed on Krishna covering his face🤪🤣Krishna had a fight with Rukmi(I guess) & then during the fight process, blood came out from Krishna & landed on Rukmini's forehead filling up her maang....seriously that was extremely filmi And Krishna had made up his mind that he'll marry Rukmini one day😕😲🤣 Did this really happen? Did they meet at the Kans Vadh occasion? Was it Krishna who had decided first to marry Rukmini😕 The Krishna serials have a different story to tell😕
Different shows show different things, so why would one not get confused😆
