Mr.Mehra vs Mrs.Mehra

It was a very fine sunday afternoon,no work,no stress,some good sleep and above all some games...

Arjun was sitting on the bed and was playing angry bird...radhika was sitting on study table and was tryin to write something..but she was unable to write anything..probably she was facing writer's block...

Arjun looks at her and at the paper balls on the floor...he thinks for a while,
After a while,he keeps his phone aside,walks towards the drawer,opens it and takes the chess board out..

He walks up to her with the chess board..he looks at her and smiles

"How about a game of chess?" Asked arjun showing the chess board..

Radhika looked at him,pouted and replied "No"

"Then how about carrom..shall we play carrom?" arjun asked

Radhika again replied "No"

"why?" Asked arjun curiously..

"M not interested in playin anything" replied radhika sternly

Arjun giggled and said mockingly "not interested or dont want to lose again"

It was true...arjun used to win every chess and carrom game...and this were the only things where radhika loses..in carrom radhika never got more than 50 points and in chess she used to run out of pieces...in chess it looked like radhika fed all her chess pieces to arjun's pieces willingly...in carrom she gets 5 to 6 penalities...

Radhika looks at him and replied "No matter how hard i try,you always win,i wont play..."

"Oh,come on radhika,okay i will go easy on you this time" said arjun

"You said the same thing last time,but you dint do as you said..instead you beat me very badly...i will not play..." exclaimed radhika..

Arjun sighed and said "i promise i will go easy on you this time...come on lets play.."

Radhika thinks for a second,she takes a deep breath and said "Okay...lets play..but keep your promise..."

Arjun smirks,he goes and takes the chess pieces..they both sit on opposite side of the table..

"What do you want..black or white?" Asked arjun showing the black and white kings

"White" replied radhika..

They both take their pieces and start arranging them on the board...arjun took black and radhika took white...

"Okay..now start.." said arjun

Radhika looked at him and said "you go first"

"No you,first" said arjun

Both start bickering about who will play first..finally radhika asks him to toss a coin..

"If head then i vil start,if its tail then you wil start" said radhika..arjun nods..

Radhika tossed the coin..it was head...arjun laughs,where as radhika frowns...

They start the game...radhika moves her pawn..arjun looks at her and he moves his pawn..

Radhika again moves her another pawn.. arjun too moves his pawn...

After 2 hours..

Arjun had almost taken all radhika's pieces out...radhika only had 7 pieces left on onboard...weras arjun had 12 pieces on the board...radhika nervously bites her nails...

"Please make the next move...its been 15 minutes now since i made the last move...make the next move..fast..." arjun said

Finally radhika moves her knight...arjun smirked...he looked at radhika and the board..he takes his rook ,moves towards her knight and rotates the rook around her knight...radhika's eyes widened...arjun looks at her mischieviously and laughs..

"Should i or shouldnt i" he said while rotating the rook over her knight..

"What should i do mrs.mehra..take your knight down or not?"asked arjun looking at radhika mishieviously

"No..no..please dont..." radhika pleaded with innocent puppy face..

But arjun doesnt listen to her request and takes her knight down with the rook...

Radhika gets slightly irritated but she calms herself down..she had now made a conclusion that she cant win this game..so she not bothered, moves her pawn...

Arjun looks at radhika and moves his next piece...

After arjun's move..radhika keenly observes the chess board...after some minutes of observing she suddenly jerked with a gigantic smile on her face...she looks at arjun with a huge smile..

Arjun looks at her...radhika was looking at the pawn piece which she lastly moved..it was in its eighth rank...she takes the pawn piece..

She looks at arjun and asked "what should i make this pawn mr.mehra-queen,rook,bishop or knight..?"

"Ahh..queen.. i will make it a queen" said radhika excitedly..

Arjun sighed...the game was now equal..both wer giving each other tough competition..

Radhika takes her new queen and moves towards arjun's king..

"Check!" Said radhika...

Radhika cleared her throat and mockingly said "well...what's your next move"

Arjun looks at radhika,he leans backward and sighed...he moves his king..

Radhika again exclaimed "Check"..arjun looks at her..

After a moment...

"CHECK MATE!" Radhika exclaimed with huge smile..

Arjun sighed and leaned back..he looks at radhika lovingly and admires her..

"Yay,yay...i beat you!!..you lost...you lost..." said radhika..she continued her laugh...she even jumped up and danced..

"Dadaji says there's nothing like defeat when you play with your loved ones,you only win..." said arjun smiling at radhika...

"Those are my lines...i said those lines last time...when i lost!" said radhika...

"Its not your own line..its dadaji's..and he is my dadaji too..so i can say it..." arjun said smiling at radhika

Radhika too smiles at arjun...she turns and goes to the bedroom..

She walks to the bedroom,but stops mid way and says "thank you!...you know y..." she smiles and goes inside..she takes her pen and begins to write..the game had made her overcome the writer's block...she happily writes something..

Arjun smiles and remembers how he dint give her check when he had a chance and made a move so that radhika could win the game..he purposely moved the other pieces after takin down her knight..and radhika knew this..radhika knew that he moved that pieces so she could win...arjun smiles..

"Chess is fun but not without her...i love to play chess with her not cos i win..i like to play cos she plays it with me..she gets upset,sad, irritated,confused,nervous,annoyed...she bites her nails,pouts and laughs...watchin her makes me smile...she looked cute while dancing..dint she..." said arjun looking at the white queen..

Arjun smiles and takes the pieces and chess board along with him and walks towards the bedroom..he keeps it in drawer..he looks at radhika who is busy writing..arjun smiles,he sits on the bed and again starts palying angry bird..

At night after dinner..arjun was resting on the sofa...radhika comes to him with a carrom board and asks him to play with her..

Arjun looks at her astonished...

"Do you seriously want to play...you know you vil lose" said arjun

Radhika nods innocently and said "yes..i will try to win this time..."

Arjun smiled and said "well...i wont show any mercy this time...dont cry after losing.."

Arjun and radhika sit and they start playing carrom...

"Atleast try to get more than 50 points thus time" said arjun lookin at radhika..

"I will try..." replied radhika

"You play first...i made the first move in chess this afternoon..so in carrom you will go first..." said radhika

Arjun nods and takes the striker and flicks it...the pieces get shattered..

Radhika plays next..she takes the striker and flicked it...the striker goes outside the board,rolls for a little distance and falls on the floor...arjun burst out laughing...

"First itself penalty!" Said arjun...radhika glares at arjun and goes to take the striker, she takes it from the floor and gives it to arjun who still laughing..

Arjun controlled his laughter and flicked the striker..arjun in his second shoot pockets two carrommens-one white and one black...he looks at radhika and gives a victory smile...

"I m so gonna win this" said arjun confidently lookin at radhika..

"Overconfidence is not good.." said radhika..

"Overconfidence!m jus being confident,since m playing against you..i know i will definitely win this game..." said arjun with a smile..

"We will see that.." replied radhika..

After an hour the game ends...asusual arjun won and radhika lost...radhika could get only 30 points this time..she sits on the chair defeated with a swollen face...

"Dadaji says..wen you play with you dear ones,you only win..." said radhika..

Arjun smiles,gets up and goes to the bedroom to sleep...

"Y do you two always fall for him...you two are really partial..." said radhika lookin at the two red queens..

Radhika takes the carrom board,keeps it in its place and goes to sleep...
