I left it vague ... lol ... but IMO she doesn't care about the past, considering how their marriage is right now. So to answer your question, it's 'the not going down that road because in the end Samrat came back to her'. I thought back to the beginning of the show where it was implied that they had an estranged marital life. Their son's death being a major reason. So from Piyali's perspective they have a healthy relationship now and no point in re-living the past when it didn't even matter in the first place. Further she didn't want Samrat to say anything that may hurt their daughter Sam.

Scene 3 - simply love the talks between Arjun and Dada-ji

Arjun deserved that Good Cop / Bad Cop grilling...even though he wasn't entirely at fault but like Neil said you can't just hurt people

Even though I have a good inkling what's going to happen next but I can't wait to read your interpretation

I haven't really thought about the next chapter as yet... hahaa, but i think we all know how it will go, considering we are almost there to the 2nd last episode of DYM!! 😆 I won't get time to write much this week - a concert to go to, and dance class during DYM time slot starting tomorrow. Hopefully early next week.

PS Guys... I changed the title for this... cuz the Goodbye thing was for that first chapter only and well, i think the new title fits better, lol.

I guess I should write my thoughts regarding the whole revenge background and why I chose the dialogues etc I did in Scene 1. The Samrat confession I purposely wrote to be vague and not the complete truth. As you all noticed he doesn't delve into any details and Piyali implores him not to, so he speaks his version of the truth. The reality behind Nandini we will never know. However, I do think Samrat has a guilty conscience but he doesn't have it in him to completely own it and in process destroy everything over something that happened many years ago. So he is saving his face in a way, by taking part responsibility and clearing Radhika's name in all this fiasco (and even Arjun's to some extent).

The whole part about we are humans and we all make mistakes was a statement Samrat said more for himself than Arjun or anyone. While Sam agrees with him completely because of her guilt, Piyali doesn't say anything either because she too had made the mistake of isolating her own daughter after Jai's death. And that to me opens up a path where they can forgive Arjun and move on from all this because they identify with his faults. And of course this will lead to the actual episode where Arjun is made a partner at Bird Song.

Anyway... that was my thought process while I was writing the first scene. LOL, can't believe I am analyzing my own writing!
