Chapter 3
Radhika came back to her granny's place in Mumbai. She finally decided to give her time while joining hands with her friend for ballet classes for little girls. It has been a while after she stopped dancing, everything changed since that terrible accident in London. She was only 20 years old, she was already a student from a bright ballet dancing school and her whole world shattered after she learnt that she can't perform or become a well known ballet dancer.
Radhika wanted to pay the fees for the 3 girls in the dancing class who can't afford to pay the classes, all the other kids are from rich or middle class families. She is assisting her friend today, it's her first time being here and teaching, she is nervous yet excited at the same time. Radhika starts the class with the basic stretching while her friend plays some notes on the piano. A few minutes later, 2 men break the door from behind and enter the classroom affraying everyone. Kids are panicking, they go behind the two girls. Radhika is surprised to see the guy from the orphan along with the same person who was accompanying him.
Arjun was surprised to see Radhika, while Teji keeps shouting at Radhika's friend asking to call the landlord of the two classrooms in this 1st floor, Arjun keep staring at Radhika who is afraid and confused. Arjun comes to his sense and warns them a last time to call the landlord or else they'll have to kick everyone from the classroom as the other one is closed for now. Radhika is speechless to see such behaviors that to in front of kids. She gains her strength and goes to Arjun.
Radhika: - Excuse me, who are you to order us? Owner of this place? President? Before we call the police you better leave from here!
Arjun: - The renter owns us a big amount of money and I heard that he didn't even paid the rent on time , he better come with us now or else we have to take force you to leave this place!
Radhika comes forward towards him, only a few meters separate them, kids are crying,Radhika stares at him with angry eyes and Arjun is indifferent even though he is just wanna avoid her and leave this place as soon as possible. He won't be able to handle the situation is such a state, he doesn't want to hurt these kids and Radhika but what to do, he has to do his work, he doesn't wanna appear weak in front of them or even Teji.
Radhika: - Jasmine go out with the kids please & call the police. I'll stay here, they can do what they want but I won't move from here!
Jasmine then rushes outside with the kids,Teji messes the place and he gets a call from their boss. Radhika is still in front of Arjun, he then loses control, he has to come out of this situation, he is used to such situations since 3 years and it's not cause of Radhika that he is gonna let affect his work. For the first time he sees anger in her eyes, her voice was fearless, she is the first girl who dared to face him and answer back. Her scent has a sweet aura, he just wanted to come closer to her to warn her but he was unable to make a move, her lips were pink and beautiful as the color of roses. He was captivated by the innocence of her beauty and her confidence. For a second he forgot everything, there were just him and her. At a moment he just felt like hugging her, apologize to her and reveal his true identity, that he is the Arjun she was looking for.
He then comes back to his senses when Teji called him twice. He pushes her away, she falls down. Arjun couldn't control his emotions, he was angry, restless, he feels sorry for what he just did but he had to do it. He just wanted to warn her, he doesn't wanna see her again,he came to do some work now he just wanna leave this place! Given that she hurt her left leg long back ago due to an accident, she doesn't have enough strength on that leg to even run or do heavy dance steps. Arjun goes to the piano and throws it on the floor with all his force and anger, the piano gets broken. Radhika screams calling him "insane man".
Teji informs Arjun that their boss called them back as they found the owner, they have to leave. While leaving, Arjun glances a last time at Radhika with no feelings just anger, she doesn't pay him attention, she is hurt and keeps touching her leg. Arjun & Teji leave the place, while leading towards their car, Arjun remembers how Radhika felt on the floor and how hurt she was, he is upset and angry against himself, he hates the fact that she had to see the dark side of his life, what he is doing for a living. Leaving her after hurting her tortured his mind, his heart aches to the point that he just wants to break free and go to see how is she.
There are many times where he just wants to forget everything and escape from this hell but he in unable, he owns a lot to his boss even if he left him he won't let him live peacefully as he saw too many things since he was 22 years old. After he lost his aunt who gave him shelter after he reached 15 years old, even though she was struggling she gave love to Arjun but her husband who was alcoholic messed up her life. Arjun had to do small part time jobs while studying, his dream was to start his own business. He used to like to play the harmonica and wanted to open an instruments shop. After her aunt died, he was couldn't live with her husband who was already sick as he keeps drinking and having debts, he didn't wanted to spend his whole life paying his debts. Arjun was not a great student, he couldn't reach to college or dream for a degree, he worked in a mechanical store and then in a restaurant. When he reached his 20's he met a big man, Salim bhai/sir. He is loved but many poor people, he is respected in their local but many fear him to as he is known to his power. Bhai saw Arjun when he was working in the restaurant, a client used to treat him badly as he served him the wrong menu but Arjun defended himself, he didn't wanted to be consider as low or even as a useless poor guy. His bravely and confident gained bhai's attention. He offered him a job, at first Arjun didn't' knew what kind of job it was but he was happy that he gained a shelter, that he got someone who respect him and loved by many people like him. After 2 years with bhai and his workers, Arjun finally understood that there is a good and a bad side in his world. They used to threaten people if they don't pay at time what they own to bhai and bhai also has a fake diamond business linked with some people from Thailand. Arjun slowly became his protege, he always considered him as his own son. Arjun knows bhai's both sides like no one else, it has been 6 years since he started working to him.
He once wanted to escape from his work, this life and for the second time after seeing Radhika he wanted to escape again but he knows that he won't be at peace after leaving bhai or that he can start a fresh. Will there be a day where he can stand on his own and start a new meaningful life?
Radhika is resting on her bed, wearing her pajama, she is putting some ointment on her left leg. It's painful, how dare he pushed her like that, the more she recalled the moment the more her anger towards him kept growing.Her granny came to her with a fruit salad, she sits next to her and ask her if she took her medicine and if she is feeling better. Radhika's leg still hurts but she feels better than before, she is tired, she wanna rest a bit but she is restless as she is angry with what happened the morning. She wonder how are the kids doing, how is the class gonna open again.
Granny: - Don't be tensed, forget everything I'm sure police wale kuch na kuch zaroor karenga. Go to sleep now & yes do call to your parents my dear, they are worrying about you.
Radhika: - Sure...You know nani I thought that...that guy would be Arjun, I already met him a few days ago in the orphan.
Granny: - Saachi? I think you have mistaken him, there is no way that the Arjun you described to me will become like that!
Radhika: - I know...Well I made a huge mistake by calling him & asking if he was Arjun, bewakoof hoon main!
Granny: - Gotta go to sleep, going night bacchi.
Radhika: - Good night nani.
Later on Radhika calls her parents in London, they were worried after granny told them about the incident. She assures them that she is feeling much better now, even though her mom asked her to not to go in that place or even force to dance, Radhika explains that she is not at all a kid to be scared of such things and that she wanna be useful to those kids who wanna learn ballet dancing, after all she is just assisting her friend Jasmine. She feels good when she is around with the kids and dancing bring a smile on her face. It was hard to think about dancing again but she had to move on, she wanted to help her friend for the time being & on the other hand it helps her body as well. She is still wondering about Arjun' whereabouts, what is he is leading a hard life, what is he turns out like that crazy guy he met before, a scary person. No there's no way that her Arjun behave like that, Radhika decided to go again to the orphan and ask the head sister about his whereabouts even though she said last time that she didn't had any of his address or contact number. She is trying to sleep but she is constantly thinking bout today's incident and Arjun.
On the other hand, Arjun is sitting on hid bed in his dark room, he is playing the harmonica, his favorite tune that Radhika used to like when they were in the orphan. He recalls the incident,how confident she was and how he hurt her...
