Chapter 1
Radhika finally came to Delhi after 1O years, she is sitting on a taxi, steeping her head out of the window & admiring the city where she belongs to. Seeing the little snack shops, saree bazaar, jewelry shops & the crowded streets made her realized how much she missed her country. She is glad to come, glad to be home.
After an hour, she finally reaches her granny's house. Carrying her big suitcase & her handbag she walks towards the door & each steps towards the house reminded her how she came there the very first time. She was a little 6 years old girl, her new parents step into the house holding her hands, once the granny saw her she just went to her & took her into her arms saying a little sunshine came to their house, now that she came into their lives she'll fulfill them with happiness and brightness. Now the 25 years old Radhika finally enters the house, a maid opened the door.
Radhika: - Nani...
Her granny finally sees her, she takes her in her arm with tears.
Granny: - My baachi, you finally came!
Radhika- Yes nani. I missed you a lot & I missed our house!
After the two catched up for a while, Radhika reaches her room.It is still the same apart that the bed is a big one. While looking around the room, her memories attached to each & small things came to her mind as a puzzle full of moments.The little black & red radio on the small desk of the corner grabbed her attention. It was the only thing related to her childhood friend & crush, Arjun. Little Radhika used to dance whenever Arjun used to tune into bollywood songs on that radio. Her passion for dance started with him & the radio is the only memory of him that she had. Of course she always had a photo of him & the other orphans during all those years, even when she was abroad. But the radio always remembered her of Arjun. She then wondered how he has been, how does he look like, if he could recognize her when they'll meet. She starts to imagine how he'll look like & his character while sitting on her bed.
Radhika: - Definitely tall, handsome, full of life, brightness in his eyes & always ready to help the others that's how he'll be.
On the other hand Arjun walks towards a room in a big house, he is wearing a black shirt & jeans. His smile disappeared, his eyes are full of anger & pain. He knocks & enters into the room. It's the private office-room of his boss, a powerful & dangerous loan-shark. He used to help Arjun when he had nothing & now Arjun is his protg.
Arjun: - You called me sir.
Boss: - Arjun, thanks you once again everything went well with that family, we got control over
their shop. I would like to gift you something, ask me anything you want my dear.
Arjun: - How can I ask you sir, I'm already thankful to you for helping me when no one was there for me. You was the only man who took care of me after my aunt's death.
Boss: - Arre Arjun, you can go to a holiday if you want, c'mon I'm ready to do a favor.
Arjun: - Tomorrow I would like to go to the orphan sir.
Boss: - Ok, I'll give you money for the orphan, bring Teiji with you too.
Arjun: - Thank you sir.
After stepping of the room, Arjun is on his way to leave the house, he tries calling Teiji but he is unable to reach him. Few hours later, he enters a small bar, he sees Teiji having some drink with two good-looking girls. He goes to them.
Teiji: - Hey bro. Girls here is my best buddy, Arjun.
Girls: - Hi Arjun, wanna join us?
Arjun: - No thanks, maybe another time. Teiji, we have to wake up earlier tomorrow as we have to go to the orphan, so drink less please.
Teiji: - Chill yaar, only one last drink ok?
Girl: - Teiji & Arjun, we are gonna go to the nightclub, wanna come with us?
Other girl: - Yes c'mon, it's gonna be fun!
Teiji: - Haha, good idea.
Arjun: - Wrong idea, I don't have the mood to & we have a long drive awaiting us tomorrow, sorry girls.
The girls leave them, Teiji is angry & disappointed seeing them leaving.
Teiji: - Seriously, I was waiting to get closer to Sruthi now I have no chances thanks to you.You need to relax sometimes, always being serious & angry!
Arjun: - This is how I am, I don't like all those useless parties & clubs you know it!
Teiji: - But when it's about work you'll definitely go to parties & clubs right. Seriously you need a girlfriend now so that she can bring a change in your life. What about Sruthi's friend or that model Anamika, she was quiet interested by you.
Arjun: - Not my style!
Teiji: - What's your style bro?
Arjun started to think, he then remembered those little innocent eyes, her sweet voice, her shy smile & her dancing. He remembered Radhika.Then he murmured her name.
Teiji: - Who?
Arjun: - There was someone, a friend that I was longing to see, don't know where she is and
how she is doing.
Teiji: - First love?
Arjun- Well, my childhood friend, she was special to me & we lost contact with each other.
It's 9. p.m, Arjun is driving the car, Teiji is sitting next to him, he is half awaken. Arjun tunes into the radio, a soft romantic is playing. He recalls the last time he met Radhika, 10 years ago when they were teenagers. He was so happy to see her but their meeting was sudden, she couldn't recognize her but he knew it was only her from the very first second.
Flashback: It was a rainy day, he was riding his bicycle towards the orphan he used to belong, he comes there whenever he can to help the sisters & children. He couldn't give enough amount of money but somehow he saved some money. He was riding his bicycle, he has a bag with some snacks & pen, he was protected by his cap under the heavy rainy day. A girl was crossing the road, she was pretty, has long hair, her face was hidden under her big white umbrella. She was wearing a yellow dress & sandals, she was walking towards the orphan. Arjun was staring at her while she was crossing the road, he then started cycling faster & reached where the girl was at the orphan but he couldn't control the breaks due to the wet street & the speed. So he fell down along with the bicycle & the bag the was carrying. The girl looked back & was shocked seeing him in that state. She rushed to him & helps him to get up, while helping her umbrella went over due to the heavy wind, she couldn't catch it, she was only focusing on Arjun. Arjun is finally on his foot, he keeps staring at her while she was asking him if he was fine. Somehow the face & the voice were familiar, he was lost in his thought: who is she, is it Radhika, it can't be, but why she seems so familiar. The girl handed over the bag & Arjun's cap to him, he thanked her. Her hair was wet & flowed, he suddenly puts his hand above her her hair, she was taken aback. They stare at each other for a while, they remain silent.
Arjun: - You'll catch a cold...
Radhika: - Euh...I'll be fine, I better go inside...Thanks.
This voice, this sweet voice, those small shy eyes, he knew it was her, yes he is sure, it's Radhika.They went inside the orphan together, Arjun interrupts her.
Arjun: - it's you right?
Radhika stares at him, she doesn't understand him.
Arjun: - I know it's you Radhika.
Radhika was stunned, her eyes were only fixed at Arjun, she tried to control her emotions but fails to, she was smiling at him but couldn't stop having tears.
Radhika hugs him tightly.
Radhika: - Arjun!!! I missed you...I missed you a lot.
Present: Arjun is still driving, he stopped recalling that moment, the more he thinks about her the more he feels sorry towards her & miss her. On the other hand Radhika is dinning with her granny, the dinning table is full of delicious food: chicken, vegetables, rice & Radhika's favorite parathas. Both are having a good time eating together after ages.
Granny: - How is it?
Radhika: - Yummy, I missed your delicious food nani.
Granny: - What shall I prepare tomorrow?
Radhika: - I'll eat anything you'll make.
Granny: - You should catch up with your friends & go out, any plans?
Radhika: - Well, I called Jasmine we are planning to go on a small trip with others but tomorrow
I'd like to visit he orphan with you nani.
Granny: - As you wish my dear but you should rest a bit na?
Radhika: - I'm fine nani. It's not as if we are gonna walk hours, I'm gonna call a taxi.
Granny: - Alright...Did you called mom & dad?
Radhika: - Yes but they are still upset...especially mom. No one understand that I need a break,I was suffocating after the accident, you know how hard it was for me. I need to breath & make up my mind, I wanted to go somewhere else that's it!
Granny: - I know my baachi, that's why I asked your parents to trust you & let you come here as I'll be with you.
Radhika took her granny's hand in hers & smiled while thanking her.
