Sigh...after a hiatus again back in business but for what I'm not really sure anymore.
Thinking of writing a more detailed review on this track but that I'll keep for another day. Filhaal my views on today's episode:
After the cliff-hanger of last week of who exactly got shot we see today that it was Diya who placed herself in front of Urmi in the nick of time. (That must be some supersonic speed coz we never saw her move from her spot 🤔)
Despite being told by Urmi to stay put at the hospital Ishani takes it into her head to confront Damini. Now this was an important moment we've expected of how Ishani would deal with her beloved Badi Ma once her truth was out and this scene was done well and Nalini did a really good job in portraying the rage and hurt of betrayal. BUT...I did not expect Damini to turn completely black from grey. I thought she would at least spare Ishani so her complete about-turn to get Ishani killed was frankly hard to believe 😳. Maybe it was to drive home the point to Ishani that how far gone her Badi Ma was in her hatred.
Urmi's grief and Shaurya's quiet desperation was very realistic and both Kunal as well as Manasi were flawless as usual in these scenes. The scene which really got to me was Shaurya speaking to an unconscious Diya begging her not to leave him. I've said this before and I say it again but Kunal has this innate ability to portray vulnerability with absolutely no effort at all. I don't know whether he does some preparation or it comes out with ease but it looks completely natural thereby making any such scene even more poignant. The way he was looking all lost at Diya made me really want to jump into the screen somehow and comfort him . Diya Tiwari, you better wake up now!
Precap: Shaurya stands in front of a Ganesh idol holding a lit camphor in his palm and challenging God that he'll stay where he is burning his hand until Diya opens her eyes. But he is soon distracted by Urmi's frightened scream. Is it Diya's condition or Ishani's absence that led to it, have to wait and watch...
PS: They really didn't need to make Diya end up in the hospital at this point. I mean, what hasn't that girl gone through in this short while that they had to put her in a life-or-death situation now 🤔? And why is it that yet again in Kunal's show the heroine is hospitalized towards the lag end of the serial 😳? And for pete's sake, CVs, please don't make it all revolve only around Damini ! There are other characters to focus on too in these 4 days!
