I have written it in a hurry so please ignore the mistake I have made😕

CHAPTER 4

After the party, it was now time for the college annual fest. There were many events like play, dance, singing and sports competitions. Raghu was very excited about it. During his school days he used to participate in dramas a lot and he loved acting. He gave the auditions for it. Next day the list of the main characters was out. He went to check the notice board. He saw the list and jumped so high. He was chosen to be the main character of the play. He then looked on to check the name of the leading lady. He almost lost all his spirit. The name- ANTARA KAUL shone in bright bold letters. He got upset. He wanted to be in the play but not with this girl as his leading lady. He hated her and couldn't bear to be with her all the time. "Should I quit the play", he thought. He couldn't decide what to do. He quickly took out his phone and called Machmach. "Machmach main play mein select ho gaya vo bhi lead role k liye", Raghu said. "Arey waah mere bhai! Vaise ye toh hona hi tha. Mera bhai jo hai tu.", Machmach said excitedly. "Par main soch raha hoon ki quit kar du",Raghu said. "Haaaiinnn... yeda ho gya hai kya. Kya bol raha hai tu", Machmach said shocked. He knew his brother's love for acting and couldn't believe that he wanted to quit it. "Machmach, vo.. vo Antara meri leading lady ka role kar rahi hai", Raghu said weakly. Machmach did not know what to say. He knew his that Raghu hated Antara but he couldn't let him quit the play. "Toh kya hua. Tu ek ladki se darr gya. Raghunath Naik hai tu. Dikha de use bhi kit u kitna acha actor. Agar tune quit kiya toh vo tera aur bhi mazak banayenge", Machmach tried to explain him. Raghu was convinced a bit. He felt Machmach was right. "Hmm... mujhe lagta hai tu sahi keh raha hai. Thik hai main lunga play mein part", Raghu said. Machmach was relieved. "Ye hui na mere bhai wali baat", Machmach said smiling. "Haan.. thanku Bhai meri help krne ke liye. Tu na hota toh pata nahi mera kya hota. Chal mujhe class mein jaana hai. Baad mein baat krta hun. Bie", Raghu said smiling. "Haan thik hai. Aur agar koi problem ho toh seeda mujhe phone karne ka. Biee", Machmach said laughing. Raghu laughed and cut the call. He was quite sure that Antara would not be as good as him in acting and he was determined to prove himself in front of her. After an hour they had their practice in the auditorium. Raghu was already there. He didn't want to be late for practice on the first day. But on the other hand Antara was late. "Jis ladki ko time ki kadar nahi uska kya kaam play mein.. huhh.. Antara..",Raghu said irritatedly to Ishaan. "Raghunath Naik.. kya bola tune", Satya said from behind. Raghu stood still. He didn't want a chaos in front of everyone so he preferred to be quiet. "Meri Antara ka naam tere muh se acha nahi lagta. Tu hmare aage kuch nahi hai toh panga lene ka sochio bhi mat", Satya said angrily. Raghu again didn't respond. This made Satya more angry. He raised his hand to hit him. But suddenly he heard a shout,"Satyaaa.. rukooo". He stopped his hand midway and turned around. It was Antara. "Jaaann,kya hua",Satya asked Antara. "Satya sab log khade hain yahan par mat bolo kuch", Antara said softly to Satya. Raghu was bewildered. Antara was the girl who had insulted him in front of everyone in the party and now she was only the one saying Satya not to make a scene. What is wrong with her? Is she ill? Or its another plan of hers? Raghu thought. He couldn't make out what was going on in Antara's mind. Before any of them could say anything, Antara took Satya away from there, leaving behind a confused Raghu. The practice began. The characters were introduced and the scripts were given to everyone. During all this, Raghu was just gazing at Antara. He saw her differently today. Antara knew that Raghu was constantly staring at her. After some time, she got irritated. Satya was not a part of the play so he had already left the room. Antara quickly took Raghu's hand, went to a vacant corner and pushed him towards the wall. Raghu could not even understand what was happening. "Dekho main vaisa ladka nahi jaisa tum soch rahi ho. Tum door raho mujse", said Raghu awkwardly. "Tumhare paas bheja hai. Tumhe lagta hai k main tumhare sath aisa kuch karungi", Antara questioned. "To tum mujhe yahan kyu lekar aayi ho", Raghu asked Antara. "Tumhari problem kya hai haan. Kabse dekh rahi hoon bass ghoori jaa rahe ho mujhe", Antara saud angrily. "Meri koi problem nahi hai. Mujhe bass yeh samajh nahi aa raha k tumne aaj Satya ko roka kyu. Tum to khud muje sunati rehti ho", Raghu spoke. "Vo... vo toh...", Antara stammered. Even she herself didn't know the reason. She felt wrong when Satya was about to hit Raghu. But why she felt so, even she didn't know. "Vo toh kyuki main nahi chahti thi ki Satya ka kisi teacher par khrab impression pade. Toh maine rok liya usse. And You should say thanks to me. Ehsaan kiya hai maine tum par", Antara said. "Dhanyawaad Antara ji, aap na hoti toh mera kya hota", Raghu said sarcastically. "Oh thank you thank you", Antara said laughing and left. Raghu felt something when he saw her smiling but what was it, even he didn't know. A small smile crept on his face but he ignored it and started rehearsing his lines. Everyday they had a practice for around two hours. Out of 2 hours, Raghu and Antara used to fight at least for an hour. The teacher had scolded them many times but in vain. It was like that now they couldn't live a day without fighting with each other. During the practice, he had also come to know that Antara had the same passion for acting as him. It was just a week to go for the play. Antara was practising in the auditorium. Raghu had still not arrived. Her eyes were set on the entrance of the auditorium. She was waiting for Raghu. She was walking on the stage while practising her part. She didn't realise that she was at the edge of the stage. Suddenly, she tripped and was about yo fall. She closed her eyes and got ready to bump into the ground but then she realised that she wasn't falling down. Somebody's strong grip prevented her from falling. "Oh Satya... thank you! Tum mujhe nahi bachate toh main play mein part hi na le pati. Thanku so much. I love you", Antara said, her eyes still closed. She thought it would be Satya only. "I love you too", the person said. "He is not Satya", Antara thought and quickly opened her eyes. It was Raghu. Antara could see the concern in Raghu's eyes. She quickly straightened herself. "Tum dekh kar nahi chal sakti kya. Har time girti padti rehti ho", Raghu said. "Sorry vo maine dekha nahi. And thanks", Antara said. It was the first time when Raghu had heard these two words from Antara's mouth. "THANK YOU... SORRY", he said with his eyes wide open. "Haan toh... isme kya hai. And by the way how dare you say i love you too", Antara said starting to get angry. Raghu laughed. "Maine toh aise hi mazak mein kaha tha. Tumhe hosh mein laane k liye. And Tumhe pata hai tum kitni badi yedi ho. Bina dekhe kisi ko bhi i love you bol deti ho. Atleast dekho toh k vo kaun hai. Aise hi... Satya.. thank you... i love you", Raghu said enacting Antara. "Shut up... vo sirf by mistake tha. I never meant that for you", Antara said. "Really... thank god! Nahi toh muje toh tension hi ho gyi thi", Raghu said laughing. "Youuu...", Antara said angrily and began hitting him. Their teacher came. "Raghu Antara tum dono fir shuru ho gye", she said angrily. "Ma'am aap hi dekh lo. Yeh hi mujhe maar rahi rahi", Raghu complained like a child. "Oye... shut up! Tumne hi shuru ki thi baat", Antara said and they again started fighting. "Shut up both of you. You are grown-ups now. Stop behaving like class-2 children", the teacher said. "Sorry ma'am", they both said together. "Ab I need toh do the lighting settings so you two practice on the first floor in the home science lab", the teacher ordered. "Okay ma'am", Raghu said and they turned around to leave. "And I can come anytime to check. If I find you two fighting again, you both will be out of the play and this is the last warning for you. Do not come out of the lab until I come to call you. Shut the door of the lab so that you are not disturbed by anyone", the teacher said angrily. Raghu and Antara heard the instructions quietly and left. They got very serious now. None of the two wanted to be out of the play. They sat in different corners of the lab and rehearsed for their part. The teacher got busy in her work and quite forgot to call them. Raghu and Antara were busy practising in the room. They were so engrossed that they didn't realise that time was running. The door was closed so they didn't even come to know that It was already evening and the entire college was empty. The peon came and locked the door from outside. He didn't know that the two were still inside. Raghu and Antara heard that someone had locked the door. They shouted together but in vain. The peon had already left. Now they had to spend the night together in the room. They had no other option. "Tumhare sath poori raat... isse better toh jail mein rehna hota", Antara said frustated. "Mujhe toh jaise bada shaunk hai na tumhare sath rehne ka", Raghu said. "Mujhe kya pata. Shayad ho", Antara said smiling. "Not at all. Vaise bhi ye sab tumhari vajah se hua hai. Naa hi tum mujse ladti, naa hi hum iss room mein aate aur naa hi aise lock hote", Raghu said in angrily. "Acha... ab saari galti meri ho gyi. Tum toh jaise mujse lad hi nahi rahe thy na", Antara said. "Galti bhi tumhari hi thi... samjhi na", Raghu replied. "Oye... Antara Kaul kabhi koi galti nahi karti ", Antara said. "Kyu vo yahan ki bhagwan hai kya", Raghu said sarcastically. "Aur nahi toh kya", Antara said proudly. "Chod muje tumse koi baat nahi karni hai. Tumse baat karna hi bekar hai", Raghu said. "Hmm... thank you thank you", Antara said paying no attention to him. There was silence in the room for some time. Then suddenly there was lightning outside. Antara got scared. She shouted and quickly ran to hug Raghu. Raghu was shocked. The daring Antara Kaul was scared of lightning. A big smile crept on his face. More thunderstorm was there. This only made Antara's hug more tight. "Main Satya nahi hu", Raghu said softly in her ear. "Shut up... i know", Antara said loudly and held him more tightly. They both felt so good to be with each other! Suddenly Antara's phone rang. She quickly broke the hug and took out her phone. It was her mom. She talked to her explaining everything that had happened. After talking for a while to her, she felt better. She didn't seem scared anymore. "Ab thik ho tum", Raghu asked sincerely. Antara thought that he was making fun of her. "Oh! Hota hai kabhi kabhi. And vaise bhi I am.scared of loud sounds", Antara said. "Really! I didn't know ki bhoot bhi kisi se darte hain', Raghu said laughing. "Just shut up okay! I am not in mood to fight with you now. Ab meri help karo kuch khane ka dhundne k liye", Antara said. "Haan okay", Raghu replied. They both started looking for food hoping to find some. Antara saw a cupboard. She quickly went to look for food in it. She saw that a packet was kept in a drawer. She tried to open the drawer but it was too tight. She pulled it so hard that the entire cupboard started to shake. A glass bowl kept on the upper shelf began to move towards the edge. It was just about to fall off the shelf when Raghu saw it. "Miiisss Kaaauuul", he shouted and began running towards her. In a second he reached there and pulled Antara towards him. Antara vouldn't understand what was happening. Raghu banged his head against the wall and Antara was pushed onto him. Raghu had got hurt but he was satisfied that Antara was safe. The bowl crashed on the floor and broke into pieces. Antara got scared again and held Raghu tightly. Now she realised whatever had happened. "Tum theek toh ho na", they both spoke out simultaneously. They look at each other, into each other's eyes. They have a shotrt eyelock. Antara broke the eyelock and said,"Haan main theek hu aur tum". "Ouucchh... theek hu bass sar par lagi hai thodi", Raghu replied. "Oh! Chalo idhar baitho main tumhara sar daba deti hu", Antara said pointing towards a chair. Raghu was shocked. He had never imagined that THE ANTARA KAUL would ever say this. "Jaldi baitho", Antara said. She took Raghu's hand and made him sit on the chair. With her soft hands, she pressed Raghu's head slowly. It was of great relief for Raghu. After some time, Raghu started feeling much better. He held Antara's hands and slowly took them off his head. "Bass ab tum thak gyi hogi. Thank you so much. Bohot relief mile mujhe", Raghu said smiling. "My pleasure and thanks to you too", Antara said smiling. "Welcome", Raghu replied. He stood up and brought the food packet from the cupboard. "Tum ladkiyan bhi na. Thodi patience toh rakha karo", Raghu said. "I am too hungry. Tumhe kya pata hai", Antara replied. "Mujhe toh lagi hi nahi na jaise bhook. Naa hi tum itni impatient hoti naa hi mujhe lagti", Raghu said. "Sorry... bass khush", Antara said in an annoyed tone. "ye sahi hai... pehle maaro fir sorry bol do as if mera dard theek ho jayega", Raghu said. "Toh kya karu. Maine kaha tha mujhe bachane k liye. Girne dete vo bowl mujh par. Vaise bhi tumhe kya fark padta hai", Antara shouted. "Fark padta hai", Raghu said quickly without realising what he said. "What...", Antara widened her eyes. "I mean... mujhe nahi but tumhare parents ko padta hai. And vaise bhi ye maine isliye kiya because mere parents ne mujhe hamesha dusro ki help karna sikhaya hai", Raghu said. "Whatever...", Antara said arrogantly. Raghu ignored her. Then he brought the packet and they both ate the chips and biscuits they got from it. They had to sleep now. He took the chair and told Antara to sit on it and sleep. "But tum...", Antara asked. "Don't worry. I will sit in the corner and sleep", Raghu replied. He sat near the door and slept. Antara was still awake. She was just gazing at him. "Kya ladka hai ye... ladta bhi hai aur fikr bhi karta hai. But jaisa bhi hai he is a nice guy", Antara thought. "But I will always love fighting with him", Antara said with a smirk on her face. She smiled and closed her eyes.

Its so long that some of might have slept halfway.😆

CHAPTER 5

In the morning, Raghu was the first one to wake up. He saw Antara sleeping. Even He was not fully awake. He came to Antara and looked at her face. His heart skipped a beat. "She looks like an angel", he thought. Thinking that she would be feeling cold, he removed his jacket and spread it on her. Now, she seemed a bit relaxed. Raghu smiled. He sat down to have a better look of her face. With a finger, he flipped back hair from her face. "WOW, how beautiful is she", Raghu said with a big smile on his face. Hearing his voice, Antara opened her eyes. "Good Morning", she said with a smile. This morning seemed a bit different to her; in fact she was unusually happy. "Good Morning", replied Raghu with a smile. "Will you have tea? I saw the stuff in the cupboard there", Raghu asked Antara. "Yeah! Vaise bhi my head is aching a lot", replied Antara. Raghu went to prepare tea while Antara dozed off again. "Chalo Antara utho, your tea is ready", Raghu called out. She opened her eyes but was still sleepy. "Ye lo, hold the cup", Raghu handed over the cup to Antara. With her eyes half-opened, she missed the cup and the hot tea fell on her hand. "Ouuccchhh", Antara shouted. "Ye kya kar lia tumne Miss Kaul? Yedi hai tu poori", Raghu scolded her. "Mummy, ye kitna jal raha hai", Antara was in tears. "Acha ro mat ab, main thanda paani laata hu", Raghu said and quickly ran to get a glass of water. He poured it over the burn. "Ouch..." Antara's hand had become red due to the burn. She held Raghu's hand tightly. Raghu brought her hand towards his lips and began blowing out air. By mistake, he brought her hand so close that they touched his lips slightly. "RAGHU! ARE YOU TRYING TO KISS MY HAND", Antara shouted. "DON'T FORGET THAT I AM ALREADY COMMITTED", she continued. "I'm really sorry. Mera aisa koi intention nahi tha. It just happened by mistake. Please do not misunderstand me Miss Kaul', Raghu said politely. "Okay... but leave my hand now", Antara said trying to calm herself. "Will you have tea now", Raghu asked. "I want it so badly but mujhe nahi lagta k ab main pi paungi", Antara said. "I can help you to drink if you donot mind", Raghu suggested. "umm.. okay but mere liye apne dil mein koi misunderstanding mat rakhna. Main Satya ki thi aur usi ki rahungi", Antara said in a determined voice. "Yeah yeah! Pata hai mujhe aur don't worry, main tum par line nahi marunga. Tum mere type ki hi nahi ho", Raghu said with a smirk on his face. Raghu brought the cup and made her drink the tea. Suddenly the door opened. "Antara, tum thik toh...", Satya stopped midway. Satya looked at them angrily. "Umm... Satya vo actually mera haath", Antara began to explain. "Bass...", shouted Satya. "Ab sunne k liye reh hi kya gaya hai. Tumhari mom ne kaha k tum yaha phas gyi ho. Socha tum pareshan hogi isliye subah jaldi aakar ye room khulvaya par yaha ka scene kuch aur hi hai", Satya shouted. "Nahi Satya jaisa tum soch rahe ho vaisa bilkul nahi hai", Antara burst out. "O really, so tum kehna chahti ho ki main andha ho gaya hu", Satya said. Raghu was watching all this quietly. "Shut up... just shut up", Satya shouted on Antara. "Satya... ek baar uski baat toh sun lo", Raghu interrupted. "Oh! Toh aaashiq sahib ke dil mein dard hua maine Antara ko kuch keh dia toh", Satya taunted. Aisa kuch nahi hai Satya, uska haath jal gaya tha and isliye main uski help kar raha tha that's it", Raghu said increasing his tone. Antara was still crying. She could bear anything but not Satya being upset with her. "Haan Satya Raghu sach keh raha hai. Ye dekho", Antara said showing her hand to Satya. Satya's anger suddenly cooled down. He quickly held her hand and kissed it. "I am sorry jaan", Satya said rubbing her hand softly. Raghu took his stuff and left from there. "I am sorry Satya. Mujhe toh khud bhi nahi pata chala kab ye door bahar se lock kar dia. Maine tumhe bohot hurt kia hai na. SORRY", Antara said holding her ears. "Nahi nahi jaan. Tumhari koi galti nahi hai. I only misunderstood you", Satya said. "Please Satya aage se aise gussa mat hona mujhse. Main nahi reh sakti tumhare bina. You are my world to me. Main tumhare liye kuch bhi kar sakti hun", Antara said hugging Satya. Satya broke the hug, held her face in her hand and said with a smirk on his face, "Kuch bhi... Sach mein". "Haan kuch bhi", Antara said and hugged him again. Satya smirked. He was planning to do something really wrong.

Raghu went back to his room, lost in his thoughts. He didn't know why but he felt bad seeing Satya and Antara together. He didn't like Satya much. He always used to think that he was using Antara for being popular in the college. But he could do nothing. Antara loved Satya unconditionally but Satya never looked that serious for Antara. He was lost in his thoughts when his phone rang. It was Machmach. A big smile appeared on his face. "Bhai Kaisa hai tu", asked Machmach. "Main thik hu, tu bata", Raghu asked. "Main bhi jhakaas hu. Acha sun ye sab chod, door khol tere liye ek gift aaya hai", Machmach said excitedly. "Gift.. Kya hai aur kaun la raha hai", Raghu asked. "Tu police hai? Itne sawaal kyu karne ka hai tere ko? Chup kar na jo kaha hai", Machmach replied. "Machmach tu bhi na", Raghu smiled. Just then the bell rang. "Chal jaldi khol darwaaza ab", Machmach said. Raghu opened the door. A big box was lying outside. He picked it up and brought in inside. "Itna bada gift! Hai kya ismein", Raghu asked. "Tu khol toh sahi bhai. Tujhe bohot pasand aayega", Machmach replied. Raghu excitedly opened the box. He loved gifts and was very eager to see what his brother had sent for him. He opened it but there was nothing inside the box. This made Raghu furious. "Ye kya mazaak hai Machmach. Tujhe pata hai mujhe gifts kitne pasand hai aur tu hi mere saath aisa mazaak kar raha hai", Raghu said angrily. "Shaant ho jaa Bhai. Gussa kyu hota hai. Piche palat. Tera gift toh yahan hai", Machmach answered. Raghu turned and almost shouted with excitement. He couldn't believe his eyes. "MACHMACHHH...", he shouted and ran to hug his brother. "Toh kaisa laga gift", Machmach asked laughing. "Ek dum mast, bole toh jhakaas", Raghu answered. "Tu yahan achanak kaise? Bata toh deta. Airport par lene aa jaata jaata tuje", Raghu said happily. "Arey agar bata deta toh surprise kaise rehta", Machmach said. "Chalo sahi time par aaya hai tu, Ishaan bhi apne ghar gaya hua hai ek mahine k liye gaya hua hai. Toh tu yahi reh sakta hai", Raghu exclaimed and took Machmach inside. They talked for a couple of hours about their lives in the previous months. After that, Raghu took Machmach to show his college. They came to his class. There were many pretty girls and Machmach began checking them out. "Koi bhabhi mili", Machmach asked Raghu. "Nahi abhi nahi par khoj jaari hai", Raghu replied and they both started laughing. Machmach's eyes fell upon a girl who was already looking at him. It was Rukhsana. "Look how is he dressed and he looks so weird", she whispered to her friends and they all started laughing. But Machmach didn't hear that. He was enchanted by her beauty. Rukhsana stood up and began walking towards them. Machmach started smiling and staring at his with her mouth opened. "Raghu, parso mera birthday hai toh uski party hai parso. Poori class aa rahi hai. Tum aa jaana", Rukhsana said politely. "Okay Rukhsana. Thank you for the invitation", Raghu replied. "Apna muh band karo nahi toh makh chali jayegi", Rukhsana turned to Machmach and said laughing. Machmach came to his senses and started walking after her. "Hello,Rukhsana ji... I'm Machinder, Raghu ka bhai! Kya main bhi aa sakta hu party mein", Machmach asked with his eyes glistening. "Hmm...okay", Rukhsana said with a frown. But that didn't affect Machmach. He went back to Raghu, smiling and jumping with joy.

The next day they both spent shopping for the party. Machmach was too excited. At least he had got one chance to impress Rukhsana.😉

Next update will be of the party and will bring new TWISTS AND TURNS and Rantara's life..😃
