Somewhere down the line, their professionalism and commitment to a story or show will be questioned by someone one day...seriously I believe that.

It could be when Nautanki wants to sell another show to another channel...the head may raise this furore and say 'not impressed with how you dealt with this, what will you do if the same problem happens here'...or when the writer is trying to sell a new concept to a production house someone will sure to ask 'so if the track veers off or trp down, will you kill of your leads and start again? old news, go and come up with something new and stop copying!'...šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

When your work is your bread and butter, you need to give it more than 100% and that means doing things to ensure that your work reflects the best of you.

Sorry to say with what they are doing to DDEJ and they way they are ignoring us viewers and our POV, these people are showing they have already washed their hands of Rantara and their story. That is cop out, shows they are better at running off than solving problems or finding a way out.

I would like to ask the Creative's: WHY? If you have written yourself in the corner, there is always a way out. -- Exactly, I am not a writer but there is a way out from everything and as a layman if I can think, why not the writer. As a writer there shouldn't be a boundary for him but not without logics and he should always deliver what he promised. It is not like he can just get a clean slate by wiping everything he has written. What is written has its own consequences and if you can't make amends atleast you need to make a try to have a decent ending to it. I am shocked by this behaviour, never come across anything which is so unethical. I would never watch a show from this PH and even if I did, there would be always the thought that it would go into drains soon. They have completely lost their credibility.

Mindless twists n turns brought in. We watched for the sake of Niyaz. At least give us a decent fairy tale ending. If they exit from the show it is not worth watching. Please don't take the audience for granted.

PH and writer of the show too ashamed to even answer any one let alone read something like this.

They have no defence. They did not try. They are giving up and starting afresh so they are indeed cheating us.

The so called Creative are not Creative's.

I somehow feel they had planned this ahead. They have kept a bank of episodes with them which will show Niyaz for a month and by that time all the fans hue and cry would reduce and they would just go on with the leap. Otherwise why have they even started the audition for the son's role ? But I want to see their clever strategy backstabbing on them. I want this show to get so low TRP's that they have to shut it down. This is no way you deal with fans and not the way you deliver whatever story you promised.

But don't you all think that they have to be answerable to us. We have taken our valuable time out to watch this show of theirs. And what do we get as the viewers - Emotional atyachar! Shock after shock after shock. First the marriage track, then the news that the main leads would die, and then the 20 year leap. No explanation whatsoever. "Cheated, robbed, lied to and left high and dry"
The best part of the show are the main leads. It is their "X factor" that kept as glued to the show.

Shiny,

Definitely the death of Rantara or the son was not planned from the beginning otherwise the promos would be different.

I did a post back in October where I said the promos are mini stories that tell the whole story in clips to viewers and it still is.

However the death and son is recent addition, probably when trps went down the moment we got whiff of their Satya/Antu marriage.

The word seems to be they love AD, I won't deny he is a good actor, and want more of him. In their mind, Rantara is not working so to keep the strands of the story to launch their newest version they brought in a son - I am sure for the first month or so, we will get flashback of Rantara scenes...it all depends on who raises the son.

If it is someone like Noor/Ruksana or MM...then they will narrate the love story so the son remembers it. I am sure he will walk through the basti and we will see flashes of Rantara scenes. If he is raised with strangers when he comes to the basti and meets someone (like Rukku, and et al) they will tell him the story, we will see Rantara meeting and etc...whichever way, I am sure there will be flashes, and this is a clever ploy on writer and PH's part...they want the viewers to remain and get hooked in the new story, which will probably mirror the old one to stay true to the title 'Do Dil Ek Jaan'...

Once the decision is made they just went ahead with it. Nothing to it, as you said they have banked episodes, just write the ending of Rantara - and guys I have noticed a lot of editing that shows some scenes have been added/redone later, in some you can see Raghu's new hair cut and then like yesterday he is back with old hair cut - hire out new actos and hey presto, got a new story...errr revamped one to start...

This is what I too have a problem with. No accountability.

Even in Western industry, at least some explanation is given, some response is made.

Indian TV industry, a rule unto themselves.

Best way you can make your voice heard is boycott their newest ventures, where ever and which ever channel it may be on.

Yes DG and that too looks prominent from Tuesday episode. There was so many editing in between. Wen I said planned I didn't mean from start but like recently planned. It is not a night's decision. They don't understand that as fans we expect a story to be shown in the show and when it is left halfway without proper narration it is so frustrating. This is my second experience with a show and gladly my interest in Indian shows is quite minimal now. One more like this and I will quit desi shows completely. I haven't seen a single writer who has the guts to take up a unique show. Who wants to see a long show, even if is 100 episodes it is fine as long as we get a good unique story. No one understands the contents are important.

@Dreamygal301

The death will be very painful to watch and the flashbacks also are going to be very painful to watch (to those who stick on till then). Please can you enlighten me what the Kashmir track is going to be. Please can you make a post on that. The fans have been rooting for the Kashmir track. Till now I was of the same opinion. But now I am not that enthusiastic about that. Are they going to die there. And if so was this shot in advance? And if so then everyone including the actors were privy to this, but we were not aware? Questions, never ending questions!
