I do not think Suraj is being selfish at all - there has to be bigger reason for him to behave like this and I hope CVs will bring it out soon - hope they do not butcher his character more by involving Bhabo too much herehehe...
Where, on one hand, Sooraj appears to be parting ways with Sandhya for her happiness, on the other hand, his selfishness is prominent. I am against Sooraj's decision, are you? Tell me!
In the last episode, we saw Sandhya's (Deepika Singh) brother visiting the Rathi family and trying his hand at changing Sooraj's (Anas Rashid) mind. He was seen telling Sooraj to take Sandhya back, as his life would be incomplete without her. He was joined by the family members, who pleaded before Sooraj, asking him to make Sandhya a part of the family again. But he remained adamant and stuck to his decision. Stating that Sandhya's career is important to her and shouldn't be hampered with, she should be set free to achieve her goals. The episode ended with Sooraj claiming that his decision was final.
I believe Sooraj is wrong and here are my reasons. Firstly, when one accepts a person as their partner, they do it whole heartedly. There aren't specific traits or a quality of a person one chooses to accept, ignoring the rest. When Sooraj took Sandhya as his wife, he was well aware of her profession as a police officer. He knew that danger and unpredictability was a part and parcel of the deal. So why back out now? Secondly, Sandhya has gone out of her way, to protect her family. Why is Sooraj turning a blind eye towards her sacrifices? Lastly , he says he is parting ways with Sandhya for her happiness and career to go on. I believe he is being selfish and thinking solely about the safety of his family, caring little about Sandhya's needs and desires.
