thanks to those, who have participated and have taken the time to understand and think about another's opposing or similiar viewpoint. It's actually really overwhelming to see very sensible people on this forum. 🤗
For those, who have difficult times trying to put themselves someone else's shoes or to even understand & respect an opposing viewpoint I would just like to tell you that everyone is capable of doing that...one just needs time, patience, and needs to put aside personal bias.🥰
Thank you to all for participating. And I hope no-one got offended by anyone's words...if they did I would like to say sorry on whoever's behalf.🙂
p.s. I'm not watching DMG because I think dmg creatives, actors, and storyline has much much more potential than repeating old things or showing tasteless scenes. Thanks for reading and do continue discussing! 😉

Yeah di
for me I cant watch DMG with my parents period
but i watch a lot of shows that i cant watch with my parents😆
and especially any romantic scenes in any serials
so the point here for me is not which age group the scene is suited for
I mean
me being an adult - my parents still have a problem with me watching these scenes😆
but it is more about how they presented that particular scene
and yes it was sending out the wrong message
because according to me even when lust is shown you sense the emotion of love
you can just feel the love in an intense scene such as this one
but what i saw in this particular scene was purely lust
I didnt feel nor sense the love
In all honesty
It is my expectations from the scene that i had
and when i watched it
it did not live up to my expectation

Hello Shweta,

I think I understand what you are saying :That it isn't appropriate for children, not because of the sensual scenes but because it gives them the idea that love is only physical attraction.

I agree with you that love should not ONLY be physical attraction. I agree some people are at first attracted to other people by looks (psychologically in built bias, face it not everyone will approach the dressed in all black with heavy metal chains goth in the corner) but then that attraction eventually develops into mature mental love too.

Going back to children getting these ideas of lust, well what can I say there are a lot of bad things that romantic entertainment plants in the minds of children, esp. girls. Like having ridiculous expectations from a future mate, he has to be buff with 6 pack abs, polite, smart, goodlooking, funny and he has to know how to cook. I mean please, we're going back to the Draupadi scenario here, these type of guys are virtually non-existent!

And back to the show, no idea about Ridz's mental state or take on love, she was quite the confused character until this recent episode.😆

Shweta dii, I agree with you!
I may be the only 13 year old girl on this forum who agrees to every point you have stated. I watch DMG on the 'net, but honestly I think I've stopped after the mini-skirt fiasco. I drop by once in a while to say hi to the amazing people I've met here.
It's a choice, for those who want to watch it, they totally can. They may like bold scenes, I prefer to stay away from them. As a teen, I understand what you're saying as sending the wrong message, and I agree with that. Kids younger then my are watching very intimate scenes, and in a way that stays at the back of your mind for ever. You want it to be like that, and you often do the wrong things.
I'm not saying being close is wrong- no it isnt, but I guess scenes as such have never been seen on Indian television! My parents would KILL me if they saw me watching bold scenes, and I guess I'm actually proud for not watching them.
I have a lot to say, but no words to explain it. I hope you understand. =)

oh puhleezzz!! the show gives children a sense that love is onli about physical attraction.....PUHLEEZ!!!!!!!! itz been liek a year that the show has been on air....and out of alll these almost 200 episodes.....there have been about a total of like 2-3...maybe 4 really passionate scenes between armaan and riddhima....how can these few scenes overshadow the real reason why armaan and riddhima are in love???
i think kids who are smart enuff to understand things such as physical attraction and watnot....are smart enuff to realize that armaan and riddhima truely love eachother for whom they are, they care for one another, they cry for another and they always want to see eachother happy....these few passionate scenes here and there wont change a full year of true love of AR in the eyes of the kids....PUHLEEZ!!!
and as u agreed...physical attraction is necessary in love....but it isnt the basis of love.....i agree with that......but itz not like we see AR physically attracted to one another 24/7, they dont love eachother just cuz they are attracted to one another Confused i think even kids noe that.....it just happens once in a blue moon.....otherwise wat is shown in their relationship is true love....and totally appropriate...u cant say taht creatives have lost it or watever cuz they show that physical attraction is also APART of love....and not ONLY love...
dont kids watch movies?? dont they play video games?? video games are full of vulgarous things, much more worst than this....u see girls in bikinis, ontop of the cars, with guns and stuff in video games....and they are meant to be for KIDS....movies are full of such scenes and even worst....and they are meant to be seen for everyone.......this show is meant for everyone true....but itz main target is the youth....so i dont see wat the big deal is about....if kids' video games can have such things, den why cant a youth-based show?? im gonna be 21 soon and i see no harm in watchign the scenes shown in DMG with my lil cuzzins....cuz i noe they have seen worst things, from shows of their own age.....they watch shows like hannah montanna, zoey 101, life with derek, and den KIDS movies like highschool musicals and all....which are fulllllllllllll of french kisses, making out, feeling eachother up and all...i actually feel akward watching those KIDS SHOWS with my lil cuzzins......DMG actually shows wat real love is about, very decently and appropriately, being with one person forever and ever and not thinking of any1 else....other shows that kids watch these days are useless and just teaches them to go around from one bf/gf to another....that too at the age of 15/16, in middle skwel, in highskwel....atleast armaan and riddhim are doctors and adults...and dont start the thing about indian audience and american audience, indian television and american television, cuz kids watch everythign these days....infact they like to watch amercican shows more than indian shows nowaday.....
but again....itz not like DMG shows such scenes sooooo often adn kids will think love is onli about physical attraction....wat about the trust, the faith, the care, the friendship, the willingness to do anything for eachother etc etc that they show in almost EVERY EPISODE??? why wont kids think of that as love?? why will they just think of these 3-4 passionate scenes as love???
editted: i just read a chat transcript of karan and sum1 rote that how can u express ur love for riddhima so well and make us feel wat armaan is feeling?? this question proves that ppl dont onli think armaan and riddhima's feelings for one another is just physical attraction....they actually noe wat armaan feels for riddhima....they noe how much he loves her from the bottom of his heart....and itz not just cuz he can touch her and feel her up...itz about the feeling of love...from inside....of always wanting to be with one another, always seeing the other smiling, just asking for happiness for the one u love.....cuz this is wat armaan wants for ridz, and we can feel that as well through him....we dont feel that armaan wants to touch riddhimas back and kiss her neck and all Confused thas just added to love, once in a blue moon....cmonnn!!
