The art class had gone off quite good. Better than I expected. It was normal. Well, most of it was.

When sid joined us in the table, I couldn't help but pinch myself. This was happening. Really happening.

I looked at Naina, who was staring at sid with wide eyes. Sue who was busy doing her work. And I was torn between the stares of my boyfriend and my'...ex-crush. Yes yes, I liked sid in my school. Who didn't? He was the cutest guy in the class, afterall.

'So ..' Armaan coughed to ease the awkward tension 'Were you and Riddhima friends in school?'

'No' I said and Sid said, 'yes' at the same time.

'Okay' Armaan said, confused. 'Was that a yes or a no?'

'We weren't friends' I said quickly before Sid could interrupt.

Sid looked at me, then suddenly, as if I were a clown, he added ''Yes we weren't friends'' and started smiling. Was there a inside joke going on?

He whispered in my ear 'Probably we were more than that'

I jerked my head off and mockpunched him in the shoulder 'Whatever' I grinned.

This couldn't be happening. My ex-crush was flirting with me in front of my boyfriend !!!

After that, there were more awkward glances and coughings and starings. The class finally came to an end and it was break time.

We went to the cafe. The cafe was huge, with many tables. Some 4-seaters, some 6-seaters and some long 12-seaters for popular kids.

Armaan went and grabbed a table and waved to us.

''Um Armaan, we need a 6-seater. We aint just 4, including sid'' I managed a wry smile.

''oh yeah, sorry man. I am just used to this table'' Armaan grinned and we moved to the 6-seater.

''You want anything?'' Sid asked.

''No'' I said, ''yes''' Naina replied dreamily.

''Sure, I will get you a drink'' Sid told her.

As soon as sid went off, naina started stuttering ''wow wow wow !! oh man, he is hot..he is cute! I think im in love''

I gushed off her lovesick response. ''you are a kid, naina''

''you are the same age'' Naina replied ''and you have a heartthrob boyfriend''

Armaan grinned and pulled his collars up as if to say 'I am the one'

I looked at Armaan and smiled.

What if it was armaan, and not me? What If armaan's friend had come back, a friend he used to like, would I be able to stay so normal? So at ease? I knew the answer, no.

Sid came back. ''So guys, what about a movie this weekend ?''

I looked at armaan, then Sid, ''No..Sid, its our''

''Fine'' Armaan interrupted ''A movie, it is then. What about'umm..''

I was shocked. It was our anniversery this weekend. it has been 3 months. Did he remember?

''Twilight'' Naina replied dreamily again ''I love twilight''

''no that's kiddish'' Sue spoke for the first time. Sue was like, a keeping-to-herself, quiet girl.

''alright'' Even Sid was shocked on hearing her voice ''hey riddhima, remember the way I and Anjali used to trouble you..twitard''

''what?'' armaan laughed ''twitard''

''I am not a twitard''I replied

''whats twitard'' naina asked.

''a person obsessed with twilight'' Sid replied grinning.

''what ? omg you never told me'' Naina hugged me ''twitards we are''

''no'' I pushed her away ' I don't like it anymore. And you and Anjali were so irritating. Telling me those 100 reasons why twilight sucks' I groaned.

'that changed your mind about the movie' Sid smiled.

I smiled back and looked back at Armaan 'what movie, then?'

'twilight, it is' Armaan smiled

'but..' sue started to argue.

'No buts no ifs' Naina told her. She whispered to me 'my first group date with siddhant modi' she winked

'date .. you and sid ' I laughed. It was time for our class again.

We reached the cinema and were waiting outside, for..Sid.

''I should have known'' I muttered to myself.

Armaan had picked me up from my home. Naina and Sue lived together as roommates. What about Sid ? He is the usual late-latif. Don't ask me how I know it. I just know.

''Its not your fault.''

''I should have arranged something. We could have picked him up. He is new to this city, he might get lost''

''Stop worrying Riddhima'' Armaan reassured me ''There is still 15 minutes left for the show to start. And we have already got tickets. He might be here any minute. Um, try and ring him''

I hit my head. I didn't even think about calling him, even once. I am, and would always remain a duffer.

I ringed sid. No reponse. I ringed him again. I bet I could actually hear the ringtone. My ears!!

''hey guys'' sid spoke from behind us ''I have been waiting inside for all of you. Come, only 5 minutes left''

''Sid !!'' I growled ''we thought you got lost or something''

''Lost ? Me. .. please !!'' He chuckled '' I have got 6 tickets for all of us''

''You bought 6 tickets'' My mouth turned into a O. ''We already had tickets, you mongrel''

Sid mouthed a oops ''I guess I just wasted 800 bucks''

''Yes you did. Now come on.'' Armaan muttered impatiently. ''we are getting late for the film to start. I cant believe you got me into this. I mean, twilight is a chick-flick. And I am a man''

''We got you into this?'' I laughed. ''excuse me! It was your idea !''

''I did it because I thought you liked twilight''

''I do not'' I glared at Sid ''he was lying''

''no I wasn't ! You did like twilight in school''

''Not anymore!'' I muttered.

''but I do like twilight'' muttered Naina, holding Sid's shoulders.

I watched how sid got his shoulder free gently, and laughed to myself.

''she has been behaving weirdly from yesterday. All night, she kept muttering about sid sid sid and didn't let me sleep. Weird''

''I know'' I looked at Naina and laughed ''not her fault ! sid can be a real charmer sometimes''

I said and thought about the moments I had been mad for him. Ofcourse he didn't know that, I wish he don't.

''oops'' Armaan said ''I will get some popcorn''

''get them in the intermission!! The film Is about to start''

I could tell by armaan's face that he regretted bringing himself into this mess.

''you don't wanna watch the film, do you?'' I raised a eyebrow.

''no, its not like that. I will be back, in a minute''

''you know you cant lie to me'' I smiled. ''no problem! Take your time but do come inside for a while''

''yes mam, at your service'' armaan grinned.

Me, sid, naina and sue turned inside and took our seats. Sid sat beside me while naina sat on her other side and sue after that. The other seat beside me was for armaan. ''if he comes'' I muttered to myself.

It was a '. Well, how to put this, boring film. Everyone were busy fighting but Edward and bella were only talking about marriage.

MARRIAGE !?!

Why did people marry ? The name gave me shivers. No'I would never marry. I had already decided. I hated the institution of marriage itself. The idea of spending your whole lifetime with someone gave me the creeps.

Armaan hadn't showed up for a single minute inside. When we all came outside, I saw that he was talking to someone. A lady. On the snacks counter.

''hey'' I walked over to armaan ''you didn't show up'' I pulled a sad face.

''I never promised I would'' he grinned.

''what did you do outside'' I wondered.

Armaan looked at the lady and smiled ''talked to her all the while''

What could be so interesting in talking to a snacks counter lady ? I humphed.

''who is she''I asked.

''Shilpa. She studies in our school only. In a different section. She says she only joined this week''

''Same as sid'' I smiled. ''hi Shilpa, why do you work here''

''Hi .., um, you must be Riddhima, right? Armaan told me about you.''

''Hi .. Shilpa'' I smiled ''why do you work here' I repeated.

''um, well, to try and raise some money for charity. And I am trying my best.'' She grinned. Her smile was ' pretty. I felt envious, a bit.

''Charity, isn't she amazing'' Armaan winked at her.

''oye, you are my boyfriend remember'' I mockpunched him in the shoulder

''yes madam! I was just saying that working for charity is a amazing thing'' he grinned his innocent smile and I couldn't help but smile back

''I know! You are doing a great job, shilpa''

''thank you'' she smiled back. ''see you in school''

''see ya'' armaan winked.

He turned to me ''lets go beautiful''

''yup sure'' I grinned and waved at sid, sue, and naina.

We all went home after that. I lied on my bed, thinking.

The day was good, wasn't it? We had quite fun. Although this wasn't the way I had planned to spend my anniversary. I didn't even get a gift. Damn! But the day was quite fun with sid.

Shilpa is a nice girl. We all love making new friends.

I smiled a contented smile. I am happy with my life the way it is and I don't want nothing to change.
