I have a question - how do you define 'bashing'? this question has never been answered. there is a very thin line between 'bashing' and 'criticizing', I request the mods to come and explain the difference clearly with the help of certain examples. because I don't understand the nature in which the mods seem to take the word 'bashing' in. I think I can say that I've seen enough number of innocent posts being locked and rather crude posts being allowed to get away quite easily, during the course of my experience on this forum.
so, basically, here are my questions -
1) the DMG forum has so many dev. team members, why is it so hard for all of them to collectively manage a forum in an effective way? are the older mods exerting leverage due to new mods coming in?
2) is censorship the only way to suppress bashing and crudeness? don't you think instead of solving the problem, it aggrevates it even more?
3) you said 'dont bash DT publicly' - it somewhat relates to the first question but here that's not the point. the point is, why would someone be driven to the point of making a seperate thread to question the mods? certainly a problem lies somewhere in the management. let me tell u something, no one is interested in opening several topics just in order to get a mod's attention.
4) instead of making a new sticky bellowing about new rules every month, why not turn around and question the people in authority in the first place? my frank opinion says that alot of undeserving members are sitting on that hot seat while others who actually do deserve it are not.
5) WLs seem like just another meter to the mods but one thing should be kept in mind - it greatly hampers a person's chance to become a mod in the future. it's not always the member's fault. plus WLs should be reserved for extreme cases - not just to scare people into behaving themselves.
I'd want one or more members to answer these questions. please do not challenge me here, these are not sarcastic questions but rather doubts that need to be cleared. inspite of having spent 2 + years on this forum, my opinion hasn't changed.
