Love your topic.. i had totally missed it..
Me being like many of the members here .. watching and being attached to this show from the 20th Aug... yeep same feelings as you.. i will not repeat.. but you said it all very beautifully!!! 👏 and i would love it if our questions are answered..
most importantly ..

Creatives, why are all the fans of Armaan and Riddhima who have stuck with the ups and downs of this show, including numerous cast changes, plot changes, unfinished love stories, being tested repeatedly and not being given a chance to see a true love story triumph on their favorite show?
How fair is it to us loyal fans that still watch this show day in and day out even today... hoping that something will turn around.. wonder what the cv's have for us.. hoping that we will get the happy fairytale ending that we always have read about.. why not ..? Why is it wrong for us to expect??.. the CVs have some obligation toward us.. as we have giving our time and love to this show and its characters and actors..

Sonupat.. i agree with you.. i am thankful to the CVs for atleast keeping Armaan's character intact.. because all the others have been completely ruined beyond repair..

I have been visiting this forum but rarely post. But this one compelled me to do so. My then 17 year old started watching indian serials. I couldn't stand Ekta serial so we just watched Star1. She introduced me to Armaan. Initially I was not too impressed but then I fell in love with the show and the character.

I loved every character in the show.

One thing I found really interesting was that my father-in-law who is very orthodox (even though he lived in UK and when I got married it was a shock to him when I called my husband by his first name) would watch the serial with me when he visited. By then my daughter had moved to college. I watched the late night repeat and he would stay up for it.

When SR marriage came about I had pretty much given up hope of AR coming back and LNMDJ was only other show I watched and that got completed so there was nothing to watch. I told my husband he could just switch off the indian channels. My daughter is home but she stopped watching and now will come to watch Armaan scenes. Last night she was busy with hw and so just saw the part when Armaan overhears the convo between SR and she started crying.

And I do read all your FF's and enjoy them a lot. (actually read almost all AR Fictions).

This topic should be preserved for every one to mandatorily read if they have any feelings for the show:)
The sheer diversity and yet concurrence of opinions for our good 'ol DMG and its essence shows how much we care abt it. Do they Cvs care abt it? :P

Can someone really make CV's have a look at this please!!!....They need something like this to knock some senses within them!!

Di....Every thing you've mentioned here, is sooooo TRUE!!!

it's a fact that the shows name is-Dill Mill Gayye....AND Truely it is Dill Mill Gayye...and as you said NOT Badan Mil Gayye, Saath phera's, Mangalsutra ki taqat or Shaadi!!! or whatever.....

The truth is WE idealised this show...Youth idealised this show because it PROMISED a New set of ideas, Liberal ideas, some thing different from the Stereo-type plot of Society,Enforced Rules, Laws, etc........

Riddhima being a single mothers child .....Yet!!.... her bonding with a family with love instead of blood-relations, Shashank-Paddy's marriage, RM relationship, Abhi-Nikki's LS where Abhi IS a Married man!!!...and there are endless examples here as u've mentioned.

Truely this show in past Inspired many young minds(including myself)...It rebuilt our faith in Love..True Love!!!...It gave the message that true love, a selfless love, an undying love does exist and It is NOT necessary to 'Tag' it to shower your love with unconditional love, to keep your lovers happiness and life before yours....Frankly speaking...I had seen many romantic movies, dramas but NOTHING' could make me believe in the True essence of Love as AR did!!....And it is the reason I and many like me have seen a ray of hope...AR's Love story has always focussed on True Love...without giving any darn about the Society or the laws!

Then why now all of a sudden the same CV's try to recoil...why to enshadow everything under the name of society, laws, parental pressure, izzat, etc???............Where was all this before??...why now??

Is it because She is a WOMAN!!!..Is that the reason she can't walk out of her marriage for her Love!!.......Is it right to live in a Loveless marriage forever to make OTHERS happy!!!!........

Now-a-days It seems like I m watching a completely different stereo-typed show rather than DMG!!(Miss those Old blissful DMG-1 days)...I know TRP's are important and they need something to hold both SR and AR fans....BUT seriously there could be more appropriate plots than these repetative unrational twists and plots.....So much for 'Creativity'...*Cringes*

Sangeeta, thank you for lending voice to the romantics. My apologies in getting to this post awfully late, 😕 series of events kept me away...not pondering over over those let me add my two cents right away. Not that the CVs bother too much about sending a 'positive' or rather 🤔? message to the viewers through their shows, but TV is such a menace when it comes to influencing people especially the young and the impressionable, that it becomes unavoidable. Unfortunately DMG has fallen prey to that same vicious 'regressive' theme and by endorsing such themes, they are once again making a mockery of the intellect of their viewers.. As an AR phan of yore, I was tempted by this devil of a show after the Superman's return only to read about the man stripped of his heroics, who stands alone, with not a single friend to lend a shoulder or a soul kind enough to wipe his tears...or decency to spill the truth...all this while he is constantly wounded, his heart pierced by scornful words of a woman whom I would gladly push into the deepest (bottomless pit - redundant i agree) abyss there exists in the world along with whomever wishes to join the ride in blessed togetherness! All this over a compromise...in which the only hope is that of a future which may or may not be happy...nevermind the heart break, the misery, the loss of character, the loss of what you stand for... and we must lament the loss of love...loss of promises...loss of hopes...a loss of dreams...a loss of a beautiful concept...

And its wrong, it wrong to promise someone you will love them endlessly and then leave them, bewildered and all alone ...morality above anything else is being honest to yourself and being strong enough to uphold your words. But the heartless will still twist and churn this shameless plot at the cost of the very concept upon which its foundations rest.

and the silly romanticists can only look on in disbelief, and pass on tissues, as the sensible practical world mocks them for being fools... in love...

OMG!!! Gr8 post,very well speaks on behalf of the entire youth....I must say this post not only talks abt AR love story or DMG only,but justify feelings of youth....

The other day I was actuly discussing the same thing with my mom..That there is no harm in arrange marriages,but if any 1 partner ether Husband or wife hve such a strong past like Armaan & Ridhima....
And that too if ur past is infront of u..n still willin & making so much of efforts like Armaan...So i realy dnt think so that marriages like Sid & ridhima would ever work in practical life...
I mean how could any1 (Ridhima) 4get a past that is full of (beautiful emotions,life,scarifies & true Love)
How could a girl Ridhima ever 4get what Armaan has done 4 her..She was da 1 who was committing suicide 4 Armaan...& now she is not even willing 2 hear a single word frm that person...
Such marriages do not hve a solid or strong base of love & understanding....which is vry much clear in sid & ridhima marriage...
The base of such marriages are only compromises...And as well all knw that compromise is never done frm our heart....such decisions usually end up in a life which is full of burdens..

CVs it is a humble Request plz show some reality in DMG....Plz sit back n watch entire DILL MILL GAYYE again...to recall what was DILL MILL GAYYE was all abt...& what beautiful relation do Armaan & ridhima use 2 have...
