Love is done emotionally, mentally and physically.
Emotionally because you care about them and their well being at all times. Physically because you love them so you will have a deeper relationship with them. You want to just hold them. Hugging them is re-energizing. Kissing melts maturity.Mentally they r in ur thoughts every where Love is powerful.
Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.
And we find this essence in this show.Their love was beyond limitations nd expectations.but now they limited this .They tied a chain of norms, society, rituals around this love story. What hurts the most is her acquisition, her prospective about her love, her heartlessness about her love ARMAAN
This is not our DMG This is some other show....They are creating differences b/w our favorite couple AR.I don't think this is exceptional than daily saas bahu nd baandish shows..........
This is my earnest request to cvs plz bring back Nissar Parveg nd bring new writer.
there is lot of difference in compromise nd love.plz don't tie this love .Let them soar high with wings of love ,undying ,unconditional love...................

thanks Ritu. Yes,i would love it if they brought in a sensible writer who has seen all the episodes of DMG😊

Bheegi..

I sent your topic to a good friend who used to be a regular on this forum..

She had this comment for the topic. Her name is Shalu..

awesome topic Bheegi. Feels like you read my mind..

This was the show who broke all the norms of Indian television and showed us something that no other show dared to show..an Independent unwed mother. I love the fact they did not show Padma as some Bechaari abla who couldn't live because she was an unwed mother. Yes, she choose to give up her child for adoption but even after that we saw independent woman who didn't chose to tie down herself to someone just for the sake of society. She married to Shashank later but not out of any pressure from society but because she loved him.

This is the show dared to show teenage pregnant girl and how with the help of good doctors (Armaan and Atul) her one mistake was changed from mistake to happy and blissful with her future husband.

This is the show which showed children supporting their parent's remarriage. It's still a taboo in some places of India, but it was DMG who decided to break that taboo by showing Anjali taking initiative to bring her dad and his GF together and give that person a place in her heart as her mom.

In form of Armaan and Riddhima's love story, they showed how beautiful love could be. They didn't show Armaan and Riddhima ever disrespecting each other's wishes for their desire. They went through ups and downs like every relation and I would say they went through more than even what happily married couple go through in their whole life. It only made their relationship stronger and the message of following your heart is the best message they could give. They have a chance to show why forced marriages don't work and I am hoping they would do that.

Since you mentioned Cinevistas, I have to bring my Sanjivani here..loll..(Sorry Vz..had to do it..:)..Shashank supported a girl who committed a big sin in eyes of society by being in love with married man and saying something to save her love for which her Biji disowned her, but it was Shashank and Smriti who supported her and gave her shelter and finally doing her Kanyadaan. I still remember Shashank telling Rahul and Juhi, it might not be acceptable in front of society but in front of God, your love is pure and you are doing nothing wrong..I would have liked supported father who doesn't put chains of society around her when Shashank's character had defy societies rule before, instead they are again showing a helpless father who bows down to unfair society rules..

Thanks for letting me comment..This is the BEST topic I have seen in REALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYY long time...

This post has taken the word right out of my mouth! DMG has taken a U-Turn from what they started with! This was a show which once went against the societal taboo and showed an un-wed mother, teenage pregnancy, children supporting the re-marriage of their parents!

However this is the very same show who are now depicting how a un-wed mother and her daughter is being looked down in society, girls getting married due to societal succumbing, girls forced to stay in a compromise marriage in order to save the Khandaani Izzath!

I guess Indian Television is still struggling to come out from the taboo unless Cinevistast proves it otherwise!

Creative's of DMG if you ever read this then the issues which has been brought to light via this thread are something worth pondering over......

@Sangeeta Di: I also second you in everything you have stated in your original post!

Thanks shalu and Veena. I really enjoyed reading your comment. I have seen some reruns of Sanjeevani and recently when I saw the track of a married Rahul and Juhi with Shashank and Smriti supporting them, I couldn't help wondering what happened to the real Shashank? I am hoping that when SR file for divorce, Shashank would intervene as a well wisher and not someone who wants to save his reputation in society.
People keep talking about trps and how the Indian public wants to see saas bahu kaind of stuff. Yes, there are tons of people who want to see saas bahu kind of serials, but these people are NOT DMG viewers! They never were and would never be, so why not satisfy the hunger of the youth who want to be heard and who want to see something relevant for them? Right now DMG creatives are a classical example of dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka

Thanks again Shalu...hope someone from the DMG team will read this post. I know they steal all our other ideas from our posts, so they can at least read what a majority of DMG fans want.

Frankly speaking I don't watch this show any more, actually I only watched this show for the initial 6 months as thereafter the story in my opinion drifted completely without making an ounce of sense. Any how that is a completely different topic of debate altogether. So my post does not have a bias on being a fan of neither the SR or AR couple.

I am merely commenting on your topic because I found it an interesting topic for discussion while browsing this forum...

Coming to the origin of your post then Bheegi, let me ask you a simple question do the youths that you refer to really watch these shows for any form of message or to take an inspiration to try and find their true love...I highly doubt it.

Secondly most of the youths that watch the show only watch it to see their favourite actor(s) not for any form of message and that is a well known fact. An example is right in front of you..KSG.
My point here is that people want AR together because they love the couple and the actors that play them more than anything. Most people love to watch the thousands of eye locks and fire escape cornering between the two not because of anything else.

Why do you think that Ekta shows such as Kayamat, Kish desh... for e.g. do so well with the youth even without having a decent storyline..the answer to that is the pairing and the actors. Eventually it all comes down to the actors mostly..it is the sad and sorry state of Indian TV...
Take Kayamat for instance, I never followed the show, but I do know the general story of the show. The Neev-Prachi-Milind triangle, the popular pair got together in the end. The popularity of the couple is what matters in the end.

Regards to the galore of other shows that are making a mockery of love and marriage..DMG is also part of that exclusive club Bheegi. The general consensus of Indian TV is based on making mockery of every institution possible and making it look as if they are showing the reality. They hardly ever cover the marriage or the development of love and relationship properly. The development of love between AR wasn't covered properly either, again its my opinion.

In your post you mentioned something about Ridz's comment on Armaan being selfish. According to me there isn't anything more selfish than love..the only thing that differs is the act of showing that selfish behaviour. Whom so ever has said that love is an act of selflessness is living in some parallel world. So when they show a lover being selfless, its all hogwash in my opinion.

I really don't know much about the happenings in the show apart from what I've seen on the forum. So what I don't understand is why can't a girl's thinking change? Why can't she start falling for Sid? I am not talking about them in terms of their marriage, yes I know that it was a marriage of compromise; I am talking about them as a couple who've started falling for each other. Why can't she feel some compassion for the guy, no one was forcing her?

Armaan's love is true if you say, but my question is isn't Sid's love for her true than?
But what is true love? Love is a subjective thing; some look for compassion, others comfort, for many its the trust that is a major priority in their true love so to say. The different things you look for in your ideal partner changes as you age..

To me, it really does not matter as I don't watch the show nor do I have any interest in watching it. Just thought I give my 2 cents as it was an interesting discussion. Would have added more, but I am in a rush as of now. Even then, I think I wrote too much..oh well.

Thank you for providing an interesting discussion.

Vz: Thanks for posting my message..It needed a spell check now when I read it..lollllllllllll..I just typed up in whatever program I was working and sent it to you and left half of the message in that program..lollllllllllll..

Bheegi: I only login to IF now once in a while when I see your posts..and love your thoughts..

DMG was always with message..I know all the fans who have followed DMG since the beginning know that..Whether it's a what one mistake could do in the form of teenage preg. girl or the story of anoraxic girl.

They have a great message to give if they could figure out ..It's been a longggggggggggg time since we saw Riddhima smile or happy..Smile I mean Dil Se..and it just shows how unhappy she is...I won't even call this marriage an arranged marriage..It's more like a situation marriage which happened due to society..I just hope CVs realize soon what DMG was all about and what it has became..

They could also learn from their mistakes in Sanjivani..When they drifted away from their message in that show, they had to shut it down..

Again great post..Thanks for letting me comment..

thanks shalu....u know before i reply, the quote in ur sig (children are a reflection of their parents) is exactly my motto in life. I say that a 100 times a week to all my friends and people ate work😃 It's good to know that we think alike in more than one way.

I agree, any mode of entertainment that comes with a message is always appreciated by all even if people deny that they only see the show for their fav couple. DMG was a hit before because of this realistic portrayal of situations, friendship and love stories. The essence has been lost for sure- the last whiff was the AR love story. If the CVs ruin this also, there is no way to salvage this show.
