But he was in the India's Next Superstar reality show in mid-2018. I didn't watch it, so I didn't spot him. But I looked up a delightful Limca ad he did with Kareena Kapoor in.2012.

He is 31, and he seems to have had.a very tough life in what he calls a lower middle class family in Karolbagh in New Delhi. His father died of cancer, and a sister too passed away when he was a young boy, which was when he decided to move to Mumbai to.try his luck..

He has had a rough and prolonged climb to where he is now. I think he will.go.far.

Ooo now I know why does he look so familiar to me!! Yes yes I saw him in India's next superstar!! I didn't follow the show but watched in bits and pieces. I remember watching Ansh's performance! He was quite a popular contestant there. Yes I watched his few performances. I think he is a dancer. Did he win?
I didn't know any of his family history. It's quite heartbreaking. Now I will see him in a different light. He must have struggled a lot to reach here. He is always so fun loving and jovial that I could never have guessed he had a past like this.

@manoshono you know what's funny? I, for one stay away from Gul shows as far as possible. I watched Geet, IPK religiously and few episodes of QH and Ishqbaaz. I stay away because there's nothing new in her shows. Every male lead is broody, manhandler rich business tycoon. Female leads are chirpy bubbly small town girl. Then they start off with hatred end up having intense romance. Same old content in new bottles.
I started watching this show only for Jasmine because I like this girl. However I got hooked because of Rocky and followed it for him only. Like you, I too used to wonder how are they gonna redeem him?! He was vicious and did much worse things than all Gul MLs combined. But Ansh was such a natural gunda (it's a complement) I just couldn't stop watching it. In fact his dialogues were also very crisp and entertaining then.
Having said that, the turning point or what made me follow this show religiously is Happy's marriage to Chintu. It never happened on TV! So I was shocked and was pleased to see something different.
Now the funny part is even then I didn't know it was a Gul Khan show as i never bothered to check the credits. 😆

It was in the last week of Feb I found out it being a Gul show and trust me on the no. of facepalms I did to myself for watching this show. 😭 😉 😕

True that. They just started becoming good friends and also were coming close then bam this holi thing happened. They never got time to know each other that well let alone falling in love.

It is greatly to Ansh's credit that he was selected for the leading male role in his first TV serial. He must have impressed the PH of this show a lot in his reality show appearance. Plus he is also obviously lucky, which is a huge plus for any actor!

Haan he must have really impressed the PH. Gul ko impress karna kafi mushkil bhi hai. I think isske peeche reality show ka haat bhi hai. Aur woh same channel pe hai toh fayda mila hoga. Ansh was pretty popular in the show. Aur usske performances bhi kafi acche the. Whenever I watched I watched his performances only. Lekin jaise main bolti hoon he is a very natural Rocky that must have impressed the PH.
It is indeed a big break, after all SP ka reach sabse zyada hai and show is doing good in numbers as well.
