How much does Gul Khan hate women?

The title of the show is Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji but I think Dil Toh Sadist Hai Ji seems to be a more appropriate title.
I just saw today's episode and...W*F?!!!

I have no words.

I watch this show sometimes and from the beginning, I could tell Rocky was The Chosen one for Happy 'cause Gul has a thing for bad boys who like to push women around.

HOWEVER, this show is past the point where this discount Damian Salvatore can be redeemed. Props to Ansh Bagri for playing this villainous character so well, but that's where my appreciation stops.

Rocky is undoubtedly irredeemable.

I am sorry but a man who kidnaps a woman, aims darts at her while she is helplessly tied to a dart board, injures her and then pokes his fingers into those wounds (they have shown this in offscreen segments) is a MONSTER.

Happy cannot marry, fall in love with and end up with this man. If this story was about domestic violence and how Happy fights back, fine. BUT you cannot have Raaba Ve and Maahi moments with these two, sorry.

Is anyone else as horrified as I am? I can't believe how manhandling and abusing women has become normalised on Indian TV and nobody does anything about it.

Genuinely asking, is there something we can do to let the concerned authorities know? Something which gets people's attention?

'Cause no matter how many tickers saying 'yeh channel mahilaon ke khilaaf himsa ka sakti se ninda karta hai' you flash on the screen, you are glorifying abusive relationships by making women fall in love with piece of trash characters like Rocky.

Horrified does not begin to explain what I feel. Rocky has transcended beyond monstrosity to me. To see a woman's tears and to continue to torture her is horrendous to say the least.

I do think that action can be taken if we collectively raise our voices. I remember a show in colours (not Balika Vadhu another one) which had an older woman marrying a young boy to apparently protect. Much hullabaloo was raised on the topic and the makers had to fast forward and show the hero grown up ( the request was to shut the show down but that never happened). The show did catch the authorities attention. I do think that if we right to the concerned authorities in mass, then there will be effect.

This cannot be condoned or allowed to continue. No offense to any of the actors.

This show needs to be cancelled as it glorifies abuse of women and taking pleasure in doing that. No wonder we have issues in this country when these kind of useless characters are glorified as heroes. The developers of the show seem to condone such actions and promoting such sends a wrong message and sets a bad example.

If the start is this bad I can imagine they will show worse things as the story progresses.

If they make this demon the hero there is no good to come shame on maker why women always go through all these pain in tv series there is a limit to the bad boy good girl crap and for me rocky cross all limit today the better not have some sad story of him to show why he is way he is because not every person with a sad story turn out to be a demon like Rocky

Atleast in IPK and Ishqbaaz there was a build up to the characters of Arnav and Shivaay. Even if they were sometimes bad or rude, I would not feel any extreme hate towards them. In most Gul Khan shows forces marriage happens in the 6th or 7th month. But in this show it is too early. The male character is way beyond just "an angry young rude man". He is extremely evil and demonic. I knew that Gul's show may have some abuse against woman but I didn't expect this much from the show.

And what's more interesting is that it is women who enjoy these kind of shows not men. Women are the ones who contribute to the TRP mostly.

Rocky is not a bad boy he's a villain and sadly hes the hero and knowing gul she'll probably make happy fall in love and heal him that is the lead actress job in all her serials.

Today's episode was horrifying... How can someone torture a girl like that? No doubt Ansh is a fabulous performer who nails every expression so well but the character Rocky 👎🏼 Happy deserves Chintu ji only. How different are these 2 brothers!!!!! Hats off to Jasmin's wonderful performance in the scenes today. But this type of torture shouldn't be shown. It was like a tyrant torturing his prisoner 🤔

Agreed on all points - bad boy forcing a good girl. I too hope it doesn't show that the marriage will happen (which unfortunately will) and eventually a happy ending between Rocky and Happy!
Unfortunately the families will all accept the marriage and all will end well 2 years from now.

Serials like this are teaching spectators it is okay to push around and harass. It is cool to do so because it is cool at the end. There will never be any consequences. Even if there are consequences the lady love will forgive and forget and come to your rescue as it is Indian sanskar.

Sad...
