Not surprised. Teni is fine..but they need to tone down her character as well..But why are they rushing so much? They should slow down the pace. Else viewers will not be able to connect with the character
As long as the lead couple are shown i have no issues watching it even if it is soo cheesy as today's episode.. The romance seems pretty realistic..making coffee for ur wife..sleeping on her lap etc etc is a very usual thing which happens in every household and they have shown it pretty naturally here..
The comfort level of sid and rashmi makes the scenes looks all the more sweet and natural..
But the makers really need to slow down..i agree the PH is doing things after much introspection..we need to wait and watch as to what their plan is

Oh! I love Sid-Rash's chemistry! Their level of comfort with each other is visible in their scenes and their daily scenes are just great to watch because they are probably the most realistic part of the show. It was the dance scenes and Teni's interaction with Parth that really got on my nerves because it reminded me of all the ott ways of our Indian shows.
Actors were also good. I have no complains about Jasmine in previous episode. Her interaction with Parth and his younger brother was perfect.

No offence to fans of this show

I am not as impressed going by the first 3 episodes. So far it seems a mix of HAHK, Hum Saath saath hai, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and K3G. The nautanki about seeming all hunky dory in front of the jamai raja seems crazy in 2017. The opposition to Parth's marriage and the attitude towards his wife is from 1950s. The entry of the third wheel Teni I think makes zero sense. The jhoola tying superstitiously shared by the "woh" rather than the wife is from 1980s south indian made Jeetandra-Rekha movies. Imagine the reaction of Daddu when he finds out Parth's wife cannot give him pota and the s**tty dancer they hired will carry his pota 😉😉😉 Mr Daddu will become swargwasi Daddu instantly

Be it the godbharai episode or today's episode she liked gorgeous
I am liking her potrayal of shorvari
They need to make her wear more colors apart from aqua blue and aqua green

I loved her bridal wear...probably the only thing I liked in that whole dance sequence.
Her anarkali was beautiful specially her dupatta. Thankfully the coustume department has done a good job on leads.
It was just the way one or two scenes were written that irritated me. I was promised that DSDT would be different from other shows of Colors. While it definitely has a much better cast ensemble compared to other shows, few things stops it from being brilliant and those few things really kills the mood.

I can say that then opposition for Parth-Shorvori is quiet realistic but the way it is being done is not. If they do not agree with this marriage then why not ask the couple to live separately? That way no one has to go through daily anguish and drama just because they bump into each other at corridors. They can give some excuse to their jamai and other relatives.
Admit it or not but inter caste marriage is still a big issue. I know this because I have met families that are outright against it no matter how good and educated the couple are. I have seen families against a marriage simply because it was a love marriage. Besides Bengali and Gujarati are quiet a different culture from each other.
Till now the positive point of the show has been its cast. The leads know how to act and emote! Even in most annoying scenes, they stand like a ray of sunshine to make the scene slightly more tolerable.
They have introduced Teni much before her movie-counterpart was done in the movie. Being a show, they must have wished to extend Teni's part in the show although looking at pace of the show had the makers introduced Teni just as the surrogate mother then her entry would have just been delayed with one week.

I agree with your comments (in red). I guess my original comments come from the fact that I do not live in India. I do recall issues with inter cast marriages in 70s and 80s but did not realize they still were an issue to this extent 😃

The romance was cring worthy because of the dance in whole house. Then the sudden dance when they moved in the nursery. It killed the emotion characters were suppose to feel after lookin at the nursery for the first time. Also how was Parth able to create a nursery in another room when he is not allowed to do much in the house without the permission of his dadaji.
Unconditional love need not be equated with patience to bear all insults. I could understand if Parth and Shorvori were newly married but they are not. They have been married for 2 years. If Shorvori can feel sorry for being the reason behind Parth and his family's separation then does Parth has no guilt in him for putting Shorvori through such insults on daily basis?
I would enjoy this show more if they do not repeat such acts on daily basis. Today they killed half of the episode just to make Shorvori happy!
Those small and sweet moments like Parth and Shorvori's talk about the baby in the bedroom were great to watch. That was actually the only thing I liked in today's episode.

Don't get me wrong...i'm not giving up on the show but I am done with ott dialogues and drama in Indian shows. How can someone have the talent of destroying even a brilliant story with such daily soaps cliche? Can the show not be made without such nonsense. Many new shows have been able to do so and I really hope DSDT also becomes slightly more realistic in nature.

Valid point on Parth's guilt. I am so happy that Parth is a flawed character 😆 and the fact that our love for Sid doesn't make us overlook for his character's faults ⭐️

Its just one week of the show, and though I desperately want to see the family drama more subtle, I am trying to resist myself to reach to a conclusion so early. These are the same writers/directors team who gave us a beautiful and unique romantic sequence like 'Udi Udi'. The main story is yet to start. I am hoping that once it starts, it will get slower and writers will be more focused!!

The two minus points this show has- overtly melodramatic and fast paced. The whole dream sequence of Shorvari was unnecessary. It looked too much. The Gujarati song was not needed at all.
I liked Teni and Parth's interaction. I can vouch that the neutral viewers are liking it as well as I can see it at my home. 😆 Sid and Jasmine also share good chemistry.
The writers need to tone down the OTTness and slow down the show a bit and everything else would fall into place. The actors are doing a very good job.
I don't know why but I'm getting a feeling that the Show's continuous delay in airing has caused the faulty start. Scenes don't seem to link each other. The flow is missing because if that. I hope that they work on these aspects.

I think they want to concentrate on the complicated relationship of Parth and Theni. Right now he is just a visa to US it will be interesting how she falls for him knowing he is married and how do they shape up the love story.
It is better to see the fun moments than the irritating family and gujju romance - Jasmin needs to tone down a bit but her dialogues are 👏. ' Visa stop visa stop and mere liye yeh lota' It cracked me.
Sid and Jasmin shares mirchiwala chemistry - now they are at daggers drawn so the melting part and dynamics of unnamed relationship will be a nice watch. Neutral viewers are loving theni.

Yeah I also think that the story paced so first also there is melodrama which is not at all my choice.
Watching melodramas during years I am kind of pissed right now.But here the leads are binded me to the show.
As for paced what @goofy said that's right;
I also think writer will take a proper pace after their projected path comes;also not to forget that I think here the maker also want to give equal importance to Jasmin like Sidharth & Reshmi.
Let's see where the story moves on;
I don't want to judge or leave the show after watching few episodes.

The show is going at a plane speed with so much drama lol.
Till now I only like one thing that is the lead pair's chemistry.

BTW Rashami is glowing!
