Sidharth Shukla aka Parth of Dil Se Dil Tak reveals why he was missing from the fiction scene after Balika Vadhu.

Sidharth Shukla is back to daily soaps as Parth Bhanushali in Dil Se Dil Tak after a hiatus of nearly two years. He was last seen as Shiv in Colors' Balika Vadhu. All this while, he might have been away from fiction but not from reality.

He hosted India's Got Talent Season 6, even though it was not his talent. Don't get us wrong, he did a fab job as IGT's host. But it's no less than a feat to be at par with Bharti Singh, the comedian-host who's known for her perfect comic timing. He was not just good, but was awesome as the show's host and returned to host the next season of the show as well.

Sidharth, who's been very athletic as a child and actively participated in tennis and football in his school, proved his mettle by winning Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7. After winning the reality show, he is now winning hearts as Parth in his new show Dil Se Dil Tak. Who would not want a husband like Parth, who's ready to go to any extent for his love?

Recently, the talented actor was in Delhi to promote Dil Se Dil Tak. Sidharth is quite similar to Parth in real life. He has a charming personality and is quite warm as a person. He looked dapper in black ensemble and talked about what took him so long to return to daily soaps. Excerpts:

What took you so long to return to daily soaps?

It didn't take that long actually. I have been constantly working. I have done Khatron Ke Khiladi and have hosted reality shows, so it's not like I have been away from television. Because I did a show (Balika Vadhu) for such a long time, I thought of giving some breathing space to the audiences.

What's the secret of your amazing chemistry with Rashami Desai?

I don't know. I think we both have been there for a while, and we both take our acting seriously. And we understand that we are playing our characters.

How is it working with Jasmin and Rashami?

It's amazing working with them. Both are wonderful actors. And it's always fun to be with around them on the sets; they are both beautiful women, so it's fun hanging around them.
