A one woman man...🤓

Saw today's episode and for the very first time I doubt if it was right decision of Sid to do the role of Parth in DSDT... I'm big opponent of surrogacy, the surrogacy doesn't exist in EU... you all already know my opinion but nevertheless, the scene of insemination was too much for me, it was simply disgusting, a humiliation of women... I felt so bad for Teni and not only for Teni but also for the all of the poor women who have done it for whatever the reason... Teni is portrayed as an uncultivated penniless drunkard, she is portrayed as a woman from the margins of society who wants to make everything for money... the portrayal of Teni looks almost like a justification of surrogacy... in contrast to that, Shorvori is considered a fine, highly educated rich lady who thereto has the right to pursue Teni... and in the middle point of the whole story stands Parth portrayed by Sid... I love Sid so much but now I really have to clarify with myself whether I want to watch this drama or not... truly hope, no one of you will be angry with me because of this opinion of mine...😳

Nataly, why would we be angry with you for expressing your views? You're free to do that here. I'm not a supporter of surrogacy either. I'd rather prefere people having the heart to adopt innocent orphans who are being thrown away for various reasons by their real parents. They might get a new life instead of suffering a miserable life throughout either as orphans or beggars or many other possibilities. I'm myself against this thought of process of so called my blood, my child things. I can understand your feelings.

As for this show, Of all the characters the one who's gonna suffer more is Teni, but that doesn't mean Shorvari is not suffering. Considering the fact that now she will have to pretend in front of others that she will have a fake lump on her tummy tied onto her, just to hide the truth from her family. And that will only remind her of incapability of not being able to bear a kid, and not to forget living in fear always that what if her lie gets ousted some time or the other... I pity both the mothers. Which is where I differ from you.

And like you said, in between these two complicated people, stands Parth. I personally dont like the way he treats Teni as money greedy machine, but then he's being a realistic, selfish guy who just wants to have his job done by hook or crook. It's understandable that it's not easy for him either. His love for his wife and family and the want for a child from both the sides is making him behave that way. Well I would like to give the show a bit more time... let's see how it goes

Nataly, totally understand and respect your perspective about this.. I know there are very different opinions in western countries and in Asian countries, not only on surrogacy but other things like birth control and abortion.. Something that is acceptable in one culture can be highly unethical in another culture and vice versa.. There is nothing wrong in having different POVs about it.
The hospital scene, one could feel for Teni, more because she was all alone in that situation and she is too naive and ignorant to understand what situation she is getting herself into.

While for Parth and Shorvori, all that matters is family acceptance. But then, that is how it works in India.. Family support, society support are of great significance for Indians. So can't say Parth's craving for it is something unjustifiable.

Parth in current situation is just backing on the fact that Teni is doing everything for money and that she won't have any emotional attachment with whatsoever things. But he is overlooking many other things.. I find that perfectly normal, men do tend to think more practical, don't they!

Situations will surely get more and more complex for all three of them as time passes, lets see how it goes.

If there is anything that I am absolutely sure about, it is that Sid has chosen a very right show for his comeback. Don't be worried about that!! 😳

Life has a dark side to it, and the show is just trying to portray that. What's the fun in working a plain, boring love story!!

Personally, I prefer watching shows which have a social message attached to it or deal with social issues. Plain family dramas or man-woman stories don't simply interest me, and I am really happy that Sid chose a show which is dealing with a highly sensitive topic. But then its just my opinion, no offence to anyone or any other shows. 😊

From the first moment of knowledge about DSDT it's a big fight in me: on the one side, there's my big wish to support Sid and to watch him in a good show and on the other side, there's my big aversion toward surrogacy because the surrogacy is nothing else as the sale of woman's body, it's almost the same as the prostution... anyway, both, the surrogacy and the prostution are a humiliation of women, the surrogacy even more as the prostution...

Howsoever, Sudha 🤗, Buddy 🤗, Snowy 🤗 a big big thanks for your understanding, it means a lot to me... 😳

@bold... "You're free to do that here"... great words Sudha... 😊

@bold... you talk me out of the soul Sudha... 😭 got goose bumps while reading... ❤️

@bold... if the all of "would-like-to-become-mother" women would think like you in bold, there would be no surrogacy... anyway, I expect more respect from Shorvori towards Teni... carrying a child under the heart for 9 months and finally bringing that child to the world is simply the greatest thing in this world, this fact deserves the greatest respect...

@bold... that's what simply doesn't fit into my picture of Sid's roles... probably it's fault of Collector Saab...😆

@bold... on the one side, I love India, Indian music and movies (and Sid of course 😆) and on the other side, there are all of these differences between East and West... sometimes it's really very difficult for me.. a friend of mine is a Surgeon, he's a big fan of India too, the walls in his clinic are decorated with pictures from India only... he told me recently, either you love this land with all its virtues and quirks or you are constantly breaking between your love and your convictions... seems he's in right...😕

@bold... damn... this overlooking makes me so curious... am going for my today's WU...😛

As long as Jasmin is as Teni there, there will be no boring love story... with Sid as Parth, it's already Tornado PaTi at work...⭐️

As for the social message, still hope it will be the one but important in DSDT...😊

Me going to watch today's episode... finally...😆

I meant, he is not considering many other things that can trouble them in future.. Shorvori's concerns are realistic, from family's perspective (you may disagree to this though 😊)

Whatever it is, one thing is sure that the lead characters are interesting and carefully written.. Its not easy to shape up daily soap characters in just a month, but this show has managed to do that! Everyone I know is liking one or the other character ⭐️

I can't take up every film that is offered to me: Sidharth Shukla

Actor Sidharth Shukla talks about the kind of roles he wants to explore in Bollywood. He also shares why he prefers staying away from the media glare.

Siddharth Shukla

Siddharth Shukla recently made a comeback to fiction on TV with Dil Se Dil Tak opposite Rashami Desai.

Siddharth Shukla made a worthwhile debut with Shashank Khaitan's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania in 2014. After that, the actor didn't sign a film because the offers weren't good enough.

"I can't take up every film that is being offered to me. Also, I can't just sign a project because it's offering good remuneration. There must be something substantial enough for me to work on the project. Right now there is nothing, but I have my eyes and ears open," says Siddharth.

Ask him whether he is still in touch with his co-stars, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, and Siddharth answers in the affirmative. "It's not that we catch up regularly but whenever we meet at various events or otherwise, we are cordial with each other. Both Varun and Alia are not just good actors but also wonderful human beings," he adds.

Siddharth, who comes across a jovial person otherwise, loves to stay away from the media glare. The actor feels a lot of things that get reported aren't true . "I don't want to belittle anyone but I prefer staying away because I want to avoid hypothetical stories around me. I mean there's something I have achieved in life, even if it's little, and if people write about it, then it's fine. But why cook up things? My work will speak for me. In fact, I never had a PR and I still don't," he signs off.
