Born on 11th November, Shrenu Parikh belongs to a Gujarati family and hails from the city of Vadodara, Gujarat. Upon the completion of her undergrad, Shrenu stepped into the world of modelling and along the way took home prizes for winning beauty pageants as well as adding 'Hosting' to her slowly building resume.

With a smile that has the ability to touch hearts, Shrenu Parikh is the star that has become a well known name due to her incredible acting skills and ability to pull the best out of herself just when you thought she had given it her all.

Shrenu began her career at the tender age of twenty and has slowly built up a resume that boasts impeccable talent and garnered acclaim from fans all over the globe. Success is never easy in this industry but once it hits you, it hits you hard and this actress has accepted it with grace and charm; adding further to her charismatic persona.

In honour of this classy actress, her fans have come together in this Appreciation Thread to show our love and support as she takes on yet another challenging role.

Roopa - Gulaal

Shrenu started her career by landing a small stint as Roopa in Star Plus' show Gulaal, which aired from 15th November, 2010 to 28th August, 2011. The show starred Manasi Gohil (nee Parekh) as the titular character along with Neil Bhatt. Although the character was short lived, it was the beginning of a journey for Shrenu as it kick-started her career.

Aastha - Havan

Shrenu found her breakthrough in Rajan Shahi's contemporary drama, Havan, that aired on Colors where she took on the role of Aastha. The show was based around a devotee and her God; in this case Aastha, a girl that hailed from a poor family, and her devotion to the man she considerd her God: Baapji. Although not a religious show by any means, Havan was the show that marked Shrenu's breakout performance as she took the audience through the journey of a devotee whose faith was questioned time and time again.

Rajni Krish Vaishnav - Byaah Humari Bahu Ka

Shrenu's next performance came with Sony's soap opera: Byaah Humari Bahu Ka, where she portrayed the female lead, Rajni, opposite Gaurav Khanna (Gopikishan alias Krish). Shrenu continued to set the screen ablaze as she portrayed a beautiful, innocent, and well behaved girl that had a secret which nobody, including her new in-laws, knew about. From an innocent girl caught in the strings of desperation all the way to a merciless and heartless woman, Shrenu left no stone unturned as she enthralled the audience with different shades of Rajni. She was the epitome of the saying "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

Aastha Shlok Agnihotri (nee Kirloskar) - Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon...Ek Baar Phir

Her most popular show to date, Shrenu starred as Aastha Kirloskar in Sphere Origins' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ...Ek Baar Phir (a revival of 4 Lions' popular show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?) opposite Avinash Sachdev (Shlok Agnihotri) on Star Plus.The show explored the love hate relationship between the lead characters and the chemistry between Shrenu and Avinash left the naysayers enamored. Shrenu played the role of Aastha, a young middle class girl full of spunk and optimism who belonged to a progressive household and saw men and women to be equal. Her lively nature along with some haphazardness made her a lovable character and Shrenu excelled at creating a character that resonated with the audience. Shrenu proved yet again that when it comes to acting, she would leave no stone unturned and will win the love of the audience with her performance.

Gauri Kumari Sharma - Dil Bole Oberoi and Ishqbaaz

Shrenu made her return on the small screen with 4 Lions' Dil Bole Oberoi. Airing on Star Plus, Dil Bole Oberoi is the spin off of the popular show Ishqbaaz (starring Nakul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna in lead roles as Shivaay Singh Oberoi and Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi respectively) and focuses on the lives of Omkara Singh Oberoi (Kunal Jaisingh) and Rudra Singh Oberoi (Leenesh Mattoo). Shrenu stars as the chirpy Gauri Kumari Sharma and is paired opposite Omkara (Kunal). The show began airing on February 13th, 2017 and has already begun to garner much love from the fans of the host show, Ishqbaaz. Shrenu is also expected to make appearances on Ishqbaaz simultaneously as she stars on Dil Bole Oberoi. The journey has begun and already, the chemistry between Kunal and Shrenu has begun to sizzle the screens.

Dedicated Appreciation threads (ATs) for an actor/actress/characters of the show will be subject to specific rules, from here onwards. These rules will apply to all current ATs in the forum and any new ATs created in the future.

~ Appreciation Thread Rules ~

The word "Appreciate" in itself means to have a highly favorable opinion of someone or something. You are supposed to appraise the value of the work of the actors and express them in positive light. A thread where all the fans of the Actor/Character/s gather to discuss what they liked.

Appreciation threads are to be used to praise and appreciate particular favorite actor/actress/characters. All discussions related to actor's/actress performance, looks, style and personality can be confined to ATs.

Any negative(bashing/filthy language) comments/opinion on other characters/actors or on storyline that are not relevant to the thread's topic, scene or actor/characters scene with other characters should NOT be discussed here. Members can discuss relevant scene where other characters are involved but no speculation or hint about non-existent couple/love angle! We are forced to implement this restriction because many members asked for a place where they can discuss about their favorites while being free of the negativity towards them that they might encounter elsewhere in the main forum. Main purpose is bond here with other members who likes the same thing, while being free of negativity towards what they likes.

Chatting - Members seem to be more into chatting so please reduce the personal chatting because we do have a chat club for that purpose so keep that in mind. However, we do allow minimum chatting in ATs, provided it is related to this AT alone. Additionally Do not spam with just emotions/numbers to increase post count/pages. Do not quote long quotes. You can quote three posts maximum and they should be small.

ATs are open for everyone, however, do not invade the AT with the purpose to rile up the fans or instigate them. Everyone has their right to voice out their opinions and should NOT be judged/generalized based on their likes/dislikes. If any of your fellow members/friends fails to follow the rules, kindly ask them to edit out or tell them its wrong rather than joining them and aggravate the issues further and equally responsible for carrying forward an unfavorable situation. Hence be responsible and take responsibility because that way you may prevent action taken against your AT thread!

ATs/discussions threads can NOT be used to target other members and NO pinpointing activity/mock or taking digs here toward other fan groups.Any derogatory references or name callings against actors /characters/members/Dev team members are strictly PROHIBITED here.

Report - If you see anyone breaching the rules in any of the threads in the main forum, you will not come here and rant it out about it and snowball the issue further! Instead make use of the "REPORT" button and report the thread by stating the reason clearly. As soon as the Dev Team comes online they would take the necessary action.

We can assure you guys that we only takes action where it's legit reason. However, here is a little catch for the stalkers who just want to report in order to get the AT closed down - If you report any post/comments that has no legit reason, you will be reliable for action against you for stalking.

Penalties: If the DT sees more than 3 people breaking the AT rules constantly for a week, the effects of violations will kick start, which go as follows:

First Violation - Warning Note

2nd - Another Warning Note

3rd - Another Warning Note

4th - Close the AT for 24 hrs (1 Day)

5th - Close AT for 72 hrs (3 Days)

6th - Close AT for 1 week (7 Days)

7th - Get rid of AT completely from the DBO Forum/Shift it to Celebrity Fan Club Forum!

The rules are applicable for multiple violation and not single post as it will be dealt individually! Having said that, please do not assume that every report submitted by opposite fan group will be entertained. We will go through the reports and only if we find the report valid based on above rules, then we will speak to the Admins of the AT and action will be taken accordingly as stated above.

A brand new AT... Loving her as Gauri... she was great even yesterday.. though her scenes were few but i loved the way she supported n mingled with the family... always wanted to hav Gauri interacting with the family... n glad to get it finally... :)
