Hi,
This is a shot OS, in response to Annika_Ishqbaaz's request of a scene based on Aaj jane ki Zid na karo, and RiKara romance/ guilty Omkara. I'm not sure how much of it I've managed to capture. But this is my best shot, I hope you enjoy!
Dedicated to Annika_Ishqbaaz
She gently held his hand, before he could walk out of her life again. Omkara stopped on his tracks as if something had frozen him. Her bangles tinkled as she stood up. Gauri was tired of circling this conversation again and again, never reaching the conclusion she wanted, never moving past the guilt he kept holding on to. The world had already forgotten the wounds it inflicted upon them and changed the seasons; the rain drummed against their window as the night sky melted down. But inside this room - the time stood still - stuck upon an era where the two of them had so much unspoken between them. Perhaps Gauri the innocent would never succeed, the time called for someone different.
Her fingers still clasped around his wrist, she moved closer, her free hand running across his back, over his shoulder, down his bicep as she muttered in his ear.
"Tumhi socho sara - kyun na roke tumhe
Jaan jaati hai jub uth ke jaate ho tum"
"Gauri," his voice was rasp, as if he was struggling against his self imposed restrains. Her lips tugged upwards, as she laid her forehead against his straight back, feeling him stiffen under her touch, soaking in the warmth his body radiated and breathing in that intoxicating fragrance of his shirt - or was it of the very essence of his existence?
"Aap ko chot lagi hai," her tone was innocent, somewhat naive. "Let me put on some ointment." She faced him and took her hand in his, leading him towards the dressing table, she walked backwards his hand still held securely in hers. The heat of his gaze painted her cheeks crimson, this was an unknown territory she was toeing into, but Gauri was way past the point of caring by then.
He tried to pull his hand away, as she settled herself atop the dressing table and picked up the tube of ointment. She forced him into the stool in front of her, where one was supposed to sit in front of the dressing table. He tried to catch her eye, she avoided his gaze masterfully as her nimble fingers popped open the first of his shirt buttons. His hand held hers still, trying to stop her. Her golden eyes flicked to meet his darker gaze and he shook his head subtly. Her own hand covered his, encasing his palm in a soothing warmth.
"Tum ko apni kasam jaan - e - jaan
Baat itni meri maan lo
Aaj jane ki zid na karo"
One of her fingers traced the cut on his shoulder blade, her eyes brimming with tears that polished her orbs with a golden glow.
"You don't owe me anything," he tried to clear the air and she sighed. When would he give up trying to make everything between them a deal and accept the fact that his care for her ran deeper? Well, Gauri was done waiting.
"Yes," she smiled, dubbing the medicine along the jarred line of skin. He winced as the raw skin stung against the paste. "Humne dil jo diya hai," she dipped her head and blew air on his cut, her lips almost touching his skin. Against his resolve, Omkara's eyes flattered close, he took a tattered breath in.
"You deserve someone better Gauri, someone who never doubted you." He tried again, repeating the confession. His mistakes that never let him take her, even when he felt like he'd die if she walked out of his life. "Someone whole, someone with less troubles."
"Will that person stand between death and me?" She questioned back softly, her hands waving around his neck, her lips against his earlobe. "Will he save someone he hates? Will he continue to put himself in danger for me?"
"I'm not some god, Gauri." He spoke to her as if she was a two year old. "This worship of yours suffocates me."
"Then teach me a different way to love." Her confidence was unwavering. He shook off her hands and stood up, ready to leave once more. She never let go of his hand and gently lifted it to her lips, planting a soft kiss on the back of his palm. "Meri liye toh app sab kuch hai, kya aap ke liye hum kuch nahi?"
He sighed, pulling her closer to him, her back to his chest, that arm she held before, now trapping her against him. Omkara buried his face in the crook of her neck, nuzzling a line up to her jaw.
"I'm afraid of hurting you," he confessed in the end. "I'm afraid I'm not worthy of so much love, I'm not able to reciprocate it. I'm afraid I'd end up scarring you just like he did with my mother. All because tum kuch ho Gauri, bohut kuch ho tum."
"Kal ki kiss ko kabhar jaan - e - jaan,
Rokh lo aaj ki raat ko
Aaj jaane ki zid na karo" She quoted poetically and he chuckled.
"Kya irada hai Mrs. Oberoi?"
She turned in his arms and placed her hands on his shoulders.
"Irada neek toh nahi hai," her eyes twinkled with mischief. "Par simple hai, aap ko apna banana ka - hamesha ke liye."
He kissed her forehead.
"Only if you knew, how hard walking away was, every time."
"Not today, not anymore. Stay with me Omkara, stay the night."
Aaj jaane ki zid na karo
Yun hi pehelu mein baithe raho
Aaj jaane ki zid na karo
Aaj jaane ki zid na karo

The lyrics are by Fayyaz Hashmi, and I took the version in Namkaran sung by Arijit Singh. However the movie ADHM also has Aaj jaane ki zid, a different version. I wasn't sure which one she was referring to in her request so I wrote on this - as the lyrics fit to the situation in my head and also I personally love this one.
Hopefully this was satisfying.
Tell me your views, good, bad anything.
I'm open to more requests as well.
Lots of love,
Sakura
