why I'm not surprised 😆 Both Lee and Neha deserve so much better than this.. I'm happy if the news is true... bas June k baad Lee bhi quit karenge then I can finally say goodbye to both the shows 😃

The news seems to be real. Maybe that's why they weren't giving a single Rumya scene for a long time. CVs didn't even showed Rudra missing Soumya, when she was kidnapped. They could have atleast showed Rudra saving Soumya but that sequence was also done offscreen. So I think Gul just wants to wrap up Rumya track.

But anyways, I'll bash Gul after this news is confirmed.

Star Plus' popular shows 'Ishqbaaaz' and its spin-off 'Dil Bole Oberoi', has amassed a huge fan following in a short period of time.

But now, the viewers of the shows will receive a major setback in the form of another significant member quitting the respective shows.

Yes. Actress Nehalaxmi Iyer who plays the role of Soumya will soon bid goodbye to both the ventures. The actress' exit from the show is another major setback after Subha Rajput putting down her papers.

As per sources, Nehalaxmi will have to serve a notice period as Soumya and Rudra's track will not take off as planned and the makers will have to introduce a new girl opposite lead actor, Leenesh Mattoo.

We contacted Nehalaxmi who told us, "I have no idea. I have not yet shot for anything as I am unwell."

We also contacted producer, Gul Khan, who told us, "For now, we are giving the track a break."

This is extremely disheartening. We're sure that the audience will definitely miss Soumya in both the shows

The problem is RUMYA were never a "track". From day 1 and even in promos etc, Saumya was Rudra's FL and they were end game. I heard some changes were made in Om's FL even before Ishana. So it seems they were always struggling with his story. But Rudra's story had clarity. Image conscious fitness freak falls for healthy girl who doesn't care about looks. THAT was their story. While it was on track they were really great and even had some sizzling and electrifying scenes.

But the last time they had any decent scenes was in the highjacking in DBO. It seems since they convinced Lee to remain, they are trying to revamp his track. But I heard for weeks that the Rudra and RUMYA tracks are ready. But we were still not seeing any progress. Now it seems they think replacing the female lead Gimmick will pay off for them. The issue here is that NLI always trusted GK and supported here even when people were bashing her for lack of Rudra and RUMYA. Looks like this is her reward.

From what I saw on Twitter it didn't say she is quitting. It said she has been informed that they are making a creative call to end her character or some such thing. But so far neither NLI nor GK has confirmed anything. But when rumours like these surface it usually means something IS going on. Why else did they get her character kidnapped and then not even show Rudra rescue her and then have a "moment?" Why loose this golden chance? Now it makes more sense. They are probably trying to ween the audience off RUMYA.

This really sucks, but I am not in the least surprised. Gul has a history of shabbily treating certain leads.This is Neha's turn and I hope she got a useful take away from it. No one is worthy of so much trust. Especially not in such a fickle business and industry. I know she feels a certain gratitude towards GK coz she gave her her first real Break in QH. But even still she should have seen the writing on the wall! My two cents on it. After watching 3 GK shows I am no longer shocked by anything!

It came as such a shock to we Omkaara and Ishqkara Fans...
Then Om had no story or a female lead for almost 6 months...
Am not a very Rudra Fan but still I feel bad for the fans as I know how it feels when your favorite characters track suffers...
