Honey, given how strongly you relate to Kastur's character - which I definitely appreciate - I'd have to say that Kastur wasn't really
forced to give her jewellery: he left her with a choice. He DID tell her that unless she felt comfortable about giving him money, she needn't do so. AND he was ready not to judge her...he was already leaving when she removed her jewels. Plus, in all this one positive is there: Mohan isn't pretending, has never pretended that he was in love with her. I say he'd have gone much lower in my eyes if that SR dream sequence was real IMO.
You also mention that Mohan needs to grow up...well that's exactly what the serial's about! The serial is about his journey too, and I don't think his eventual transformation would have the richness and poignancy if he was all sweetness and light in the beginning. And he's just not any old spoilt brat: he's a person who's been choked into submission for half his life, shown an alternative with zero guidance or advice, and lost his way...wouldn't you feel better about his eventually becoming this incredible person, who will genuinelly love Kastur, if he wasn't the same from the beginning itself? I'm glad that the problems are out this early...it makes finding a solution eventually come up much faster!
What I love about this entire scheme of things is that there is NO ONE who intentionally caused trouble or wanted to create mischeif: those who dislike either one leave MohUr alone, those who like him are well-meaning and try to help. That's how families typically are! 😊
