ok, so here it goes:
let me tell you how i got to perform there. [it's a dream, 😠ðŸ˜]
If you don't know, i live in the U.S.
and so here it goes:
i was in Downtown L.A. shopping with my mom because i was going to India, and we were
buying gifts for my family there. All of a sudden my mom and I are passing by this High School's
Auditorium, and on the buildboard it said:
"To all Star Plus Viewers, of Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, the star of the Show
Shri. Anas Rashid Ji has a press conference here,
at this auditorium, welcome to all, free of charge"
I was thinking, "That's stupid, they're making it up!"
then Anas walks out, i don't notice him, nor does my mom.
and i was teasing my mom in Hindi, it's our thing make fun of each other, in
Gujurati then in Hindi, and i guess Anas heard my Hindi, and came up to me, and asked
me if i was from India,
i was astonished that the build board had the truth on it. he said, "Mujhe lagta hai ke
apme bohat khoobiya hai, aap ek bohat bari actress hosakti hai!"
i was like: 😳 😳
Then he offered to ask the sagars to take me in the show Dharam Veer. i was so happy!!
so i talked to my family and they let me go!
and Anas had already called the Sagar's from there, and they auditioned me through video
chatting, and
they said they would take me in the serial, as Shehzadi Sahara, rajkumari of Banaras, and
daughter of Jodhaa Akbar, who ends up falling in love with Dharam. 😳 😳 😳
I was filled with joy!! YES, FINALLY RAJAT, MUGDHA, VIKRANT, HARSH!! THE SET! BARODA!! YAY!!
then when i got there, my introduction was started with a dance to the song:
Kahin Aag Lage from Taal.
(i was to play a tomboy, not the clothes like Shera, but like the costume Sonam Kapoor
wears in Saawariya, with no access jewelry.
Harsh thought i was a really good dancer!)
And the time came for Salaam-E-Ishq, Ekta Kapoor heard of my excellent dancing, and
everyone else's in the casts. I was called to perform with Vikrant, Mugdha was called to
perform with Rajat, and Sia was called to perform with Harsh, (sorry. since i entered,
Dharam-Sahara was the new jodi) but Sia was really sick,
and Mugdha had hardcore shooting to do,
so in the end only Vikrant, Rajat,
Harsh, and I went.
Each jodi was to perform to 4 songs, each solo, and 2 together.
so I was in all of them,
first with Rajat, to Ek Din Teri Rahoon Mein, from Naqaab, then with Harsh to
Yooh Shabnami from Saawariya, and the onscreen jodi!
Karina-Vikrant to Saathiya from Darling.
and the last one, to Kachi Kaliyan from Laaga Chunari Mein Daag with all 3 of us!
And this time the show was on Valentine's Day itself, and so they called Hritik Roshan and
Aishwarya Rai, to promote their new film Jodhaa Akbar, and a few onscreen cute couples.
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, & Kareena Kapoor
and Shahid Kapoor. to be the guests of honor,
and so time came for I to dance, and they all loved it!!
At the end, SBS came and asked each guest of honor, which performance was the best,
and they said the cast of Dharam Veer was their favorite, especially the Saathiya
one performed
