Why was face hidden ??

Sorry I am posting this topic real late but I got to catch last weeks epis only today

I fail to understand why was Shera kept her face hidden in the beginning of the boat race ??😕 I mean ppl knew it was her n kept cheering "Shera Shera" ... Whats the fun in hiding ur face like that 🤔?? Maybe she did not want to get tanned 😆
