I am sure public appearances do not have to be related to political parties only.
Celebs have wide variety of events to choose from.

i hope you are aware of the restrictions tht the PH have put over MR's public appearesnces..!!regarding celebs having a right.. let me tell you.. they are contractual workers with the PH thus they have to tow the line of the PH only.. wat if the PH had decided to allow MR nd Puja fr this appearence.. (this appears to be the case most probably)..!!the point of ethics does not come into question at all.. (if we feel tht ppl get fooled bt such tricks frm both the sides..) the audience and the public has minds now a dys to decide what is happening..!!secondly the point tht you are missing is tht MR and Puja only went in thre and just spoke.. watever way their visit is being used is another matter altogather..!!the show and the actors get publicity.. and crowd gets entertained.. the party tries to cash on..!! all are in a win- win situation..!!this is how the practical life functions.. and this is the only ethic tht all follow
If you DON'T want to look it as Mohit promoting any one political party, then change the title of the topic. Why specifically mention "BJP" in the title?? If "BJP" is explicitly mentioned in the title of of the discussion topic, people will also think in a similar manner regarding the actor's political leanings.
Let's be honest here, if actors from any other popular TV show went to a Congress event, I'm pretty sure many of us would not like it. And we would openly express our displeasure about it. So, let's not say "nothing wrong" where clearly something is not right in this case. You might look at it as a "win-win" situation but is it ethically right for a production house to use its actors for promoting an event conducted by any one political party, simply to bring in more publicity for that party? And this is not one of your soap operas we're talking about. It is a show about Mahadev, so public conduct of the actors is extremely important. PH needs to keep this fact in mind before asking the actors to attend any kind of event. Or is it that DKDM is so seriously falling short of TV ratings that the show feels the need to promote itself through this event (conducted by a political party)? If PH really wants to promote its show so much, and help a political party gain publicity, let them ask Mohit & Pooja to attend a Congress event as well. I'm sure most of us would LOVE that.I am aware that it is not uncommon for highly popular actors to become members of political parties and win elections as well - Nitish Bharadwaj, Arun Govil, Smriti Irani, Raj Babbar, Hema Malini, etc. And, if I'm not mistaken, I had read newspaper reports a few months back about Mohit actually being approached by BJP to promote their party. He had refused to indulge in such activities. And many of his fans were like "Good thing he refused to be associated with a political party". I just hope it remains the same even now.
