In the story you have quoted, Mahadev cursing Narayan is surely something concocted by Shaivites (after all Shiva was the araadhya of the Asuras- by extension, Bali Maharaj). And Vaishnavite texts have left no stone unturned to demean Shiva also.




varaali i agree with all but one point .just stating a fact about Bali Maharaj. Yes, Bali Maharaj was a Asuras but like his grand father Prahlad were devotees of Lord Narayan and religious. Ravan was also extremely Religious and devout Shiva devotee he was moral until the corruption by Maternal Grand father and his own mother which led to his ultimate downfall.

varaali i agree with all but one point .just stating a fact about Bali Maharaj. Yes, Bali Maharaj was a Asuras but like his grand father Prahlad were devotees of Lord Narayan and religious. Ravan was also extremely Religious and devout Shiva devotee he was moral until the corruption by Maternal Grand father and his own mother which led to his ultimate downfall. Even asur are religious but kind of like a rose flower and its thorns.
