The other thing to Rofl abt is that How can you expect a person to be calm n composed when he took birth from Mahadev's anger, Mahadev is also know as Mahakaal and Mahadev's anger is something which can cause destruction so u expecting Jalandhar to be calm 🤣

@Shyamalaji,
As per this show's version, when J asked Shukracharya in their first meeting, will you be always with me? Shukracharaya had answered as long as you are in path of Dharma, I will be with you. He just did the same, when J was disappointed with his Mahadev bhakti. He misunderstood his Guru. Only when he saw J falling down from Brhma loka, he was the first person J found near him. After that he didn't leave him but told Vrinda to try harder to get J out of his condition.
It is higly possible if Shukracharya had told him about Tridevas, he would have considered them too as his enemies along with Indra, since his childhood. He has to be mature enough to understand importance of different Deities. Even after knowing about them he just goes to conqure Brhma loka. Not that he is respecting their importance, he instead wants to finish the system, which shows clearly when he questions Shivji about who decides, what is right & what is wrong. He himself wants to take over all.
Whenever some disturbance is created either Tridevas or Aadi Shakti has to come foreword to end it. The way J is going now to fulfil his power, superiority ambition, he has to be ready for anything.

Now according to Puranas:
Jalandhar is born from the 'Krodaagni' of Shiva, which He Himself found difficult to control even in its initial infant stage and had to direct it to the ocean.( Mahadev might have allowed His destructive power to lie dormant in order to teach Indra a lesson at a later time. There is a saying that king punishes immediately, but God punishes slowly and steadily at a later date. This applies to the humbling of Indra.) But as this power grows up, this personification of destructive anger energy will only try to conquer and destroy its own maker, just like Bhasmasura, who tried to conquer his superior and benefactor Lord Shiva. It is his genetic nature and no amount of persuasion and guidance by Anybody, during his initial or later stage could have produced any benevolent disposition on his part. He was shown to be dormant till he conquered Indra, but once he became 'Trilokaadhipati', his ego started growing, and he decided to take on Shiva. Narad was only testing his 'pressure points' to see whether he was suitable enough to be 'Trilokadhipati' when he taunted him and Jalandhar promptly failed by giving in to ego and anger. He only proved that he was a smouldering destructive energy waiting to erupt. Even Nahusha, the most noble and humble king became egoistic when he was given the post and power of Indra. So it is no wonder that Jalandhar, the personification of anger, took to the wrong path. Even then Tridev have been indulgent with him, Narayan protecting him and also letting Vrinda's prayer to Him take effect as soon as she proclaimed her allegiance to Jalandhar. They would have let him rule the three worlds had he not decided to usurp Parvathi.
Now according to the show DKDM:
In this show, his role has been glamourised by making Mohit Raina act so convincingly that people love him. But wait, they have not even started showing the atrocities committed by him, especially towards Vrinda. We can analyse his 'character' shown as per the show only after they show all the events unfolding till his end. Had this character been played by any other actor, it would not have garnered so much attention and discussions and sympathy. Full marks to the makers and actors of this show for taking such artistic liberties in order to make the show interesting, but the makers also have to be aware that such incorrect portrayals could mislead their audience into believing evil as good, as we can see by the reactions here.
About Vishnu and Vrinda, I will write when I get time 😊. Hope nobody is offended by my post.😊

I agree with you to the extent that had MR not played this character Jalandhar would not have garnered so much sympathy. @bold, I would say tht all of who have commented here are aware of the story and the fact that Jalandhar has been fictionalised heavily catering to the needs of the present day audience. But nowhere this track or the makers have intended to show evil as good.

the focal point of the discussion has been that why Jalandhar became the way he is now and its purely based on the portrayal in the show. the makers have used logic to create this track and we have been discussing the pros and cons of the character and the situations surrounding him. If somebody held the Tridevs responsible thn it is their personal thinking not aiming at offending anyone.

Shukracharya?

Guide=Intellect

Keeping aside what is shown in the serial,a guide need not necessarily be someone in person.It is one's own intellect that can act as a guide.Basing on this Shukracharya/Brihaspathi/Aadiyogi can be visualized.Proper working of the guiding principle can be assured only when ego is lost and complete attention is paid towards it.

In Person

As the true meaning of Guru is "one who dispels darkness of ignorance".( "Gu" means "darkness of ignorance" and "Ru" means "one who removes".)no one acting as such can mislead his/her disciples.

From the show

Did Jalandhar(disciple) completely surrender to his Guru?
We can compare Jalandhar with Parvathi from this point of view.😊

So the aim of this forum is always to know the Purana's story first awailable from various reliable sources & compare it with the version of what is shown by the makers. The channel itself puts a disclaimer saying this show is for entertainment purpose. In such circumstances taking this show's version of some character seriously to the extent of showing other's bad or their action faulty is not justified, as some of them are worshipped.

What may seem right now can be wrong later on, it's just one's pov, which is dominated by what we know, have read, have learnt from, which can be limited at times. Every action has a reaction. Results of Karmas can be seen now or later but they do materialise.
I agree with shruti. All these events are God's Leela. They are just playing their part in this Divine Game. Judging their action with a biased mind is not right. So let's concentrate on the +ve aspect of this show.

very true... this is dkdm version...

after mahishasur mardini track which has been shown .. just for the purpose of showing and trps,, with no connection to original story..

i am unable to believe these dkdm stories on purana's..

anyways lets not take any1's character seriously... be it indra , jalandhar , parvati or ganesh...

Mahishasur according to Puran was actually what they showed Initial Jalandhar

Mahishasur 's parents were killed by Indra and Initially he seeked revenge to Indra but after becoming trilokadhipati his pride and arrogance and belief that he is immortal as he got boon only a woman could kill him transformed him into tyrant villain

they portrayed Jalandhar as Mahishasur of scripture and turned Mahishasur a contract killer

when Mahishasur track easily could be shown for 2 months they showed in 2 days and Jalandhar's fictional initial days streched like anything and the actual track of his eyeing on Parvati , torturing Vrinda are completely omitted

Avatar & ansh are not same. Ganesh & Kartikeya are Shivji's ansh they are not same as him. Though they are Parvati's ansh too. Veerbhadra was invoked for a purpose, he compeleted his work, came back to MahaRudra (Shivji). He is worshipped even today, Jalandhar is not.
There are ansh avatars & purna avatars, aavesh avatars of Vishnuji. All are not same.
