Sonarika can't play Mohini, since Mohini is Vishnu's form, not Parvati's - it would have been more apt for Saurabh 😆 At any rate, Mohini was already played by Ojaswi Oberoi during the Bhashmasura episodes, so if they decided to do the Ayappa story, then Ojaswi would need to be brought back again.

Vishnu and Parvati were considered as Brother and Sister.I thought Vishnu(in feminine form) is Parvathi.I don't remember but in a text it is said "Vishnu is Parvathi when with Shiva."Yah If a feminine look can be made out of him then I have no problem😊

No, Vishnu in feminine form is not Parvati. If one goes by DSS, he'd be Vaishnavi. Parvati was Sati reborn, who was quite different. But Vishnu in Mohini form was there on those 3 occasions - Samudra Manthan, Bhashmasura & killing Mahishi.

I think that Lord Ayappa, after killing Mahishi, should have become active in doing other things, much like Kartikeya & Ganesh.

Skanda Puran : When the demon Andhaka wanted to seize Parvati and make her his wife, Vishnu rescued her and brought her to his abode. When the demon followed her there, Parvati revealed her Ardhanarishvara form to him. Seeing the half-male, half-female form, the demon lost interest in her and left. Vishnu was amazed to see this form and saw himself in the female(Parvathi) part of the form.

MahaDev's presence in everything

One day, Lord Shiva appeared to Saint Namdev in a dream and said, "You are a good devotee of mine but you still have to learn something before you can be with me all the time. Visit the temple and meet another one of my devotees. His name is Vithoba. After that, tell me what you have learned from him." Then Lord Shiva disappeared. Namdev woke up in the morning and as per Lord Shiva's guidance, He set out to visit the temple.

When Namdev got to the temple, he inquired about the devotee Vithoba. While He was waiting, Namdev saw an old man, sitting with his feet on the statue of Lord Shiva. Namdev could not believe that a man could disrespect Lord Shiva like that. Just then the temple priest introduced Namdev to the old man, saying that the old man was Vithoba.

Namdev was quite confused! What could He learn from someone who was so disrespectful towards God! Just then Vithoba said, 'O Namdev, I am so old that it is difficult to even move my limbs. Please move my feet to a place where there is no God." Namdev began to move the old man's legs here and there, but wherever He put the old man's legs, Lord Shiva appeared !

Repentant, Namdev fell to the feet of the devotee Vithoba and begged for his forgiveness. Thus, Saint Namdev learned from the devotee Vithoba that God or Lord Shiva is present everywhere in this Universe, in all living and non-living things. With this learning He soon experienced God's presence everywhere and remained with God wherever He went.

Nice story. But err.. Sruja_Conscience, I think you have got one thing wrong. Namdev was a deotee of Pandaripur Vithala (Vithoba) and not Mahadev... (not saying all gods are diff and all that). ANd the devotee is Visoba Khechar, who kept his feet on Vithala's head. This comes among the stories of Pandharipura Vithala (Krishna).

And @itstimetospeak, Ganapati saving Tripura Sundari? 😲 I have never heard it. What story is that???

Is it!?ok but in wikipedia it is given like this...

According to the text Dnyandev Gatha, Dnyaneshwar and Muktai instruct Namdev to journey to temple of Aundha Nagnath in search of a proper guru. In the temple, Namdev finds Visoba resting with his feet on the sacred Shiva-linga, the symbol of god Shiva. Namdev reproached him for having insulted god Shiva. Visoba asked Namdev to place his feet elsewhere, wherever Namdev placed Visoba's feet a Linga sprang up. Thus, through his yogic powers, Visoba filled the whole temple with Shiva-lingas and taught Namdev the omnipresence of God.Other texts which record Visoba as the guru of Namdev are Adkar from Sikh text Guru Granth. Some texts call Visoba Khecharnath Nathpanthi, linking him to the Nath tradition.
