Most mythologicals tend to show Adi Shakti in physical form with an actress actually appearing on screen, often sitting on a lion and all. I think one show, but I don't remember which one (likely one of Dheeraj Kumar's productions) continued showing Adi Shakti separately from Parvati - different actresses - with them having conversations and everything. 😆

My opinion was, and still is, that they shouldn't have shown her in physical form but as energy. Use some CGI trickery to do it.

In any case they couldn't use Sona because Parvati hadn't been born yet (and Sona wasn't even cast at the time anyway). So a different actress was used.
