As i am Gujarati,in our oldest spiritual literature there are many stories related to Ashok Sundari.
Yes,we don't call her Ashok Sundari,her name is Okha..!!
Our great Gujarati poet,Shri Premanandji[18th century] had written big poetry novel named Okhaharan,you can search on internet about it.
As per that Ashok Sundari(Okha) was taken by most probably Aniruddh,after her marriage when she was sleeping on bed,he got the bed and from balkani went to Akashmarg.We will see,if it will be in DKDM or not?
And also other story that AS was not gone to the tapascharya when Vinayak's shirched.But she was frightened by her father's angerness & she hide into behind the bag of salt,whem mata Parvati know this she gave her shrap that she was always been into salt because she had not save her brother.
But after ,Ganesha lives Mahadev & Parvati take her shrap.When this whole matter occurred,it was the month of Chaitra,as per Hindu calander.
So there is pratha still today in gujarat ,in Chaitra month we never bring salt from market & also shopkeepers do not sell salt in this whole month.And in this month,people read holy book Okhaharan.But,it was not in DKDM.
