I dont think they will show the Nahush story now... frankly speakling i dont think they will concentrate on any story untill and unless it has a connect with Mahadev-which the Nahush story doesnt-maybe the whole curse thing they showed maybe was in realtion to that but i doubt they will show it...

@Vrish-its pretty strange that Asurs had a democracy and Indra was the sole ruler(more or less) of Devlok despite all the bad stuff he did...😆...good observation!

I too don't see how they could possibly show Nahusha, since Mahadev is in no way connected to that story. For that matter, even Vritra was totally irrelevant to this story, and had they not included Dadhichi at all, the story would have been quite clean.

The other strange thing in tonight's episode is Parvati being at all involved or mindful about Ganga's descent to earth.

@Vrish-thats a promo-so we dont know what the actual scsne may be like-they have taken a scsne from the show and made Sona do a voiceover,so they havent actually shot for the scsne!!

Shruti and vrish i have not read the real story so i cant say but in om namha shivaye the showed indra praying to lord shiva to wash the sin of bramha hatya and to restore his status as king.

True. I really wanted to see Lord Shiva execute his punishment completely without being hindered at least once in this serial.

According to what I read (South Indian version) Karthikeya, lived with Devasena and Valli in Thiruparankundram.

Probably after Nahusha, the Gods didn't want to risk anyone else on the throne. Indra seems to be galvanising from good to bad but I think he is fairly good with his job. Besides, I wonder what will happen to Sachi and his sons if he is dethroned. Maybe its more trouble than its worth to dethrone him when they can keep Indra there by punishing him when he goes out of line.

Just realised who our Recent Indradev is, read the name Jiten lalwani but thought it is Brihaspati. No it is not, now i realise😆

Our Indra dev is Indar Bhaiyya from Sasural Genda Phool, Jiten Lalwani. with his trademark moocha gone and dressed is such dresses, he was pretty difficult to recognise as our funny indar Bhaiyya.

And what a coincidence, Jiten is playing Indra dev after playing a character named Indar/Indra in his previous show.😆

Who btw is playing Brihaspati?

We touched on this in both the Doubts & Discussions thread here, as well as in the first Games thread in the Mytho Masti forum. There are 2 totally conflicting accounts b/w the North Indian Skanda Puranas, and the South Indian Kanda Puranas.

In the North Indian Skanda Puranas, there was no Surapadman or Simhamukha, only Taraka, who got killed by Kartikeya. In this version, Kartikeya was the elder son of Shiva & Parvati and Ganesh was the younger. This purana also has the account of a contest b/w Kartikeya and Ganesh on who would be the first to marry, and the contest was circumnavigating the world. Kartikeya took off, Ganesh just went around his parents and claimed that they were the universe, got married, and Kartikeya vowed to remain a bachelor.

In the South Indian Kanda Puranas, you have Surapadman, Simhamukha and Kraucha, and here, you have Ganesh as the older son. In this account, after he killed the above, Kartikeya was rewarded by Indra w/ Devasena's hand in marriage.

Since the Devasena account may not be widely known particularly in the North, and this serial is in Hindi, it's an open question as to whether they'll show Kartikeya marry. Since this serial itself is about Shiva/Parvati, they may not show either of the 2 sons marry.

Personally, I wish they'd show Kartikeya being born first, marrying Devasena, and Ganesh after his adventures marrying his wives w/o bringing in this contest story. But that's just me.

Also, Nahusha being put on the throne sounded out of character. The Devas could have made Surya - Indra's older brother - their ruler. Or they could have put Jayanta on the throne, if the same succession rules of kshatriyas applied to devas. I just don't see why they had to import somebody from earth, and then, when he got too arrogant, he got cursed into becoming a python before being liberated generations later by Yudhisthir.
