In the last scene,Nandi wasn't even speaking,whereas in the previous scene,a full fledged conversation was involved.But Parvati didn't sense them.Maybe she was too engrossed in her tapasya,but then she did open her eyes when Nandi came 🤔 Yes,the devtas and Mahadev were having their convo a little faraway compared to where Nandi was seated later on.But still..

about the pigeons even i swear i though they were going to have a back story,but those poor birds vanished after a few minutes...

about Indra being shown negative i find it particlularly strange considering the previous two portrayals of Indra-the first guy was DUMB!,the second guy was a pep-squeak,and now suddenly Indra is as arrogant and ignorant as Daksha...strange

everyone wants to see the Dadhichi story,and the story of how Sagar got cursed-maybe thats why they got Indradev into the fore front,maybe they intend to show it in a flashback...i hope they do show it-but anyways both those incidents show Indra in a poor light...

btw-does anyone know where Indradev went flying😆

Shiva should lock up Vishnu as well, in addition to those 3. In this serial, there have been some occasions when the latter has been pretty annoying.

The story of Dadhichi and the horse head was a side story that needn't be reproduced here. But one thing - Dadhichi was only needed b'cos Indra needed to kill Vritra, but now, w/ Mahadev sending Indra away to goodness knows where, I just don't see how the Vritra track will proceed. I sure hope they don't show Agni or Vayu as being the ones to battle Vritra,

Devasena was given to Kartikeya in marriage by Indra as a reward for killing Surapadman (her description is in the Kanda Puranas, as was discussed in the D&D thread) So they needn't show Devasena at all - they can have her make a cameo appearance after Kartikeya kills Tarakasura, and have them marry right away. Although it will seem a tad strange if after their marriage, she's never @ Kailash.

About Indra, one thing I wondered - why was it argued that he is indispensable? I know that as the god of rain, he is, as are Vayu, Surya, Agni and Varuna. But if Indra needed to be dethroned due to abuse of power, couldn't it have been handed over either to Surya (incidentally, his elder brother) or Jayanta? On the demon side, they went through a whole parade of rulers - Vritra, Taki, Mahishashur, Hiranyaksha, Hiranyakashipu, Bali, Ravan, Narakasura and so on, but on the deva side, it was just always Indra? Makes Devalok look like a one-man dictatorship, while the Asura kingdom look more 'democratic' (at least in terms of having different rulers different times). 😆

In this story, after Indra killed Trishiras, he abdicated the throne due to the sin of Brahmhatya, and disappeared. The devas were w/o a king, and being fearful of lawlessness, they approached Nahusha, the ruler of the Chandravansh dynasty, and asked him to rule. Nahusha started off humble and well, and the Devas were initially happy. However, it all turned around when he saw Sachi, and became smitten and then lustful about here. And that was where another Indra saga started.

This story of Indra trying to disrupt Parvati's tapasya seems completely made up. Are there any books that this is from?
