The Saptarishis wifes mean-Khyai,Additi,Anusuya etc??
even Himavan may be involved as he is a personification of the Himalayas...
geez...thats a whole ton of people...but never the less it will be a very intresting sequence to see!
but i guess we will have to wait for long to see that!

I bet you anything they'll duck out of it with some sanitized version.

Amar Chitra Katha, has pretty much the same version (Agni, Ganga etc), except that Agni approaches Shiva and Parvati and reminds them of the need for their son and Shiva places a seed on Agni's palm...

totally harmless for children...😆 they'll do something similar here...

There r so many versions of lord kartitya's birth they all have one thing common he was not born like a normal human baby with 9 months gestation period.mata parvati is a godess its not required for her to carry her child like mortals.
kartikeya was born by combination of shiv and parvati's Tej or power.he is def shiv and parvati's son but he had divine birth instead of normal birth through a womb.even lord ganesha had divine birth.so in a way rati's curse came true parvati didnt carry her kids in her womb both her sons had divine birth

If the child of one spouse was not considered the child of other then Pandava wouldnt have had a claim on the throne. Even Kauravs wouldn't have had a claim . Hastinapur throne would have been vacant and no Mahabharat would have occurred😆

dear

after Siva's first wife Sati dies at Daksha's yagyna(homam), siva was dejected from worldy affairs and went into deep samadhi (meditation).

Sati re-incarnated as parvati was born to HImavat-Mena couple.

Mean while a demon named tarakasur pleased Brahma and gained a boon that no one except Siva's son should kill him
Tarakasur thought that siva would never marry again because his first wife was dead and he lost in worldly affairs.

Tarakasur later dethroned Indra and other gods and drove them out of heaven.
so Indra and other gods wanted to have Siva marry Parvati and have a son who could kill tarakasur.

But Siva was in deep meditation. No one has courage to break siva's deep meditation. At last Indra sent Kama dev to Siva's abode.

at that time parvati was present near Siva. kama dev thought this was right opportunity and threw love arrows at Siva' s heart but Siva enraged at this act burnt down Kama dev to ashes with his third-eye

Later after performing penance, parvati married Siva.

parvati and siva enjoyed for thousand celestial years. Indra was very much worried ,he was always thinking when would siva's child would be born and kill that demon.

So Indra along with other gods including Brahma went to kailash ,but nobody dared to enter siva's cave.

At last agni dev in the form of dove went into the chamber and it made a noise as kuh-kuhu

parvati felt someone disturbed their privacy. at that time siva was about to ejacuate his semen but parvati got up from bed.

so semen which was in form of fire fell and agni in the form of dove
ate that semen(because agni eats everything). parvati was enraged at this act of agni and cursed agni dev to bear the consequences of that act.

Siva's semen was so powerful that agni dev could not bear it so threwed that semen into Ganga river. But even ganga was unable to bear that heat so she threw that semen into saravan river.

Six kritiikas(or karthikas) who were bathing in saravana river each swallowed a little bit of semen and became pregnant and gave birth to six babies. parvati later took all these six babies into her lap and joined all these six babies into one baby with six faces. So, he is called Shan-mukha(a child with six faces). so lord karthikeya or Shan-mukha is always shown as a child sitting in the lap of Mother Parvati along with Ganesha sitting on father Siva's Lap.

since he was born to six kritiikas (or karthiks) he was called karthikeya(or kritiikeya) .his other names are Lord subrahmanyam, Lord Murugan(famous In Tamil Nadu)

Indra came to know that siva's son was born as shan-mukha. Siva and parvati made him as commander of Deva-ganas(Mahasena --meaning commander of gods) and finally he killed Tarakasur. Finally, Indra regained his heaven.Karthikeya is sometimes also called Mahasena.

since agni had in his stomach the semen of siva and in-directly responsible for karthik's birth ,he is also sometimes called father of skanda.

Parvati certainly did not give birth to Kartik, and since he did not take an avatar on Earth,no specific day is celebrated as his birthday. The 'Skanda Shashti' that you are referring to occurs on the sixth day after Diwali and it marks Kartikeya's victory over Surapadman.

Which site did G_C's citation come from? The template looked familiar, since it's identical to Hindunet.org, so I went there (they typically don't get such things wrong) and looked up whether they wrote what's above, and found that they seem to have it pretty much right:

Kartikeya, the second son of Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvati is also known as Subramaniam, Skanda, Guha, Shadannana or Sanmukha (because he has six faces).

He represents a person of perfection. He is the war God, the Hindu equivalent of Mars and Ares. He was created by all the Gods to lead the heavenly hosts and destroy the demons. He is the most masculine and fierce of all the Gods. He is also fire, Agni and is very Pitta (fiery) in nature. While Ganesh removes all obstacles, Skanda bestows all spiritual powers, particularly the power of knowledge.

In one hand he carries a spear called sakti which symbolizes the destruction of negative tendencies in humans. With his other hand he always blesses devotees.

The Lord's vehicle is a peacock which is capable of destroying harmful serpents (symbolizing harmful ego and bad desires of people).

This looks very different from what the above citation said, so I'm curious where that is from.

Mahadev didn't give Agni & Vayu any seeds - he gave them 6 live sparks, which was too hot to hold. If they show that, they don't have to worry about family audience. So they will show the journey of the sparks, and finally show them transform into those 6 babies when Ganga gets them to Sharavana

So there is nothing adult they'll have to show here.

well since childhood i followed the amar chitra version where karthikeya is shivs child, where indra placed energy of shiv in ganges and it was placed upon the grass 6 nymphs found the shining light n then it transformed into a baby with 6 heads. Parvati came along n picked up the child n clasped it to her, then shiv and parvati both returned to kailash with karthikeya. For ganesh it seems 1 day parvati went to bathe and made ganesh from her own energies n made him stand guard outside. When shiv demanded to be let in ganesh refused so shiv cut off his head. Parvati became angry n took 9 forms, so to appease her all gods went to find suitable head for the boy they cld find only elephants head, so shiv placed it on ganesh and told from now on u will be our beloved child all before starting any task will have 2 pray to u first'

It varies i guess from region to region state to state etc as its passed down 😊
