Brihaspati and Daksh are different. Daksh was one of the mind-born sons of Brahma. Brihaspati was the son of sage Angira.

Our planets

Surya- mother Godess Aditi (this Aditi is different from Kashyap's wife. This Aditi is mother of Surya, Indra, etc, is worshipped as their Mother in Vedas)

Chandra- father Maharishi Atri

Mangal- mother Earth

Budha- father Chandra

Brihaspati (Guru)- father Maharshi Angiras

Shukra- father Maharshi Bhrigu

Shani- father Surya

Rahu, Ketu- mother Sinhika

ive heard about that story, but wasnt brahaspati chandra mama's guru? Isnt a guru 's wife like a mother? Thats really gross, and chandrama didnt care that tara was married to his guru? Was she compelled by chandramama?

He gave tara back like she was a thing?But what about her chasisty she did had a son of chandra mama. Didnt she feel pity for her husband? What so strange is that chandamama man has touched tara but still brahaspati took her back. He must really love her..Nowdays when a guy had a affair is accepteble but if it happens to woman then its a big paap. People shouldn't forget the story of brahaspati and tara.

Chandra was supposed to be gross!that is why he was punished-again,if getting cursed by Daksh wasn't enough,(im not sure which happened first can someone please clarify?),Bramha Ji banished him to the outer atmosphere,that is why we see the Moon God over others

because of this Somras-i.e any intoxicant is also banned from being consumed to prevent such activities from taking place!

Brihaspati was livid on hearing that Taras child was not his,however Bramha Ji convinced him to take her back...

They had an episode of Mahima Shani Dev ki, where they showed Chandra having his eyes on Tara, and him being punished later. Variation here - in this serial, they insert Shani into situations where he didn't originally play a role.

It is often said that Tara eloped with Chandra. In the Devi Bhagavatam she willingly goes over to Chandra's house and they start an affair.

I know that we're gonna see a lot more questions & answers, but so far, I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody who contributed to this thread w/ both questions & answers. It's certainly been very informative for me, and has a wide variety of questions on Mahdev, besides being the most prolific thread on this forum, sometimes rivaling the pictures thread 👏
