Rajveer got up while uday sat down next to manyata and forwarded his hand so she could place her hand on his... he started cleaning the wound and then applied the ointment... He could feel manyata moving about slowly when he looked up he saw her eyes were closed and pain was evident on her face... he then blew on it so the stinging goes away. And then put the bandage around her hand. Rajveer was observing uday at this time

Uday: do u need pain killers... he asked coldly... manyata who was staring at the bandage looked up but this time she couldn't see the concern in his eyes that he had for her few mins ago all she saw was coldness.

Manyata: no thanks

Uday: lets leave he said looking at rajveer and got up... All 3 got up and started to leave

Meanwhile at the restaurant everyone had ordered their meal and were eating. The elders were busy talking about when the functions were going to be held

Shanti: we have two weeks and we need to decide when to start the functions so that we could also let the guest know.

Komal: shanti ma since we have two weeks how about we have few functions in the first week and then take a few days break and then have the other functions when the wedding is near

J: awesome idea I think u should leave the functions dates up to us youngsters we will get it sorted

Jagat: exactly and we will add our own tadka to each function

Giriraj: then we also leave it up to u to let the guest know

Vijay: u don't worry about that uncle we will have it all sorted. He said smiling slightly thinking about manveer getting married when there is too much problem

Brij: u always seem to have an announcement he said jokingly

J: not funny... What was I saying oh yes... I will send some tailors to get measurements done as all the outfits for each functions will be done by my company

Jagat: arien wah lets see how good ur outfits r

J: better than whatever u have worn she said glaring at him while jagat laughed.

Unnati: finally there is someone else who can answer back at jagat... She was about to sip her drink when she received a text from rajveer which said *on our way to drop manyata home... didn't go well*... unnati forwarded the text to vijay who read the text and looked at unnati. Both thinking wt must have happened and how things were for manveer.

Meanwhile in the car manayata was thinking about the incident that happened at the party and was thankful that uday and rajveer found her on time. she was thinking about her incident and what happened with pia... lost in her thought she didn't realise when they reached to her house... uday didn't look at her but when he didn't hear the door open or close he slightly turned towards manyata and could see that she was thinking about something... He turned towards rajveer and gestured him... Rajveer rolled his eyes at uday and got out of the car and opened the door for manyata... he tapped manyata shoulder which scared her as the incident was still in her mind.

Rajveer: relax.. its only us.

Manyata: sorry

Rajveer: ur house is here now... manyata looked out to see the car outside the mansion. She turned towards uday and for the first time he was looking at her but this time she couldn't see any emotion no concern or coldness just blankness on his face

Manyata: thanks u for saving me today she said softly... uday looked at her for few secs but looked away. Manyata got out of the car. Rajveer gave her a small hug. She smiled slightly and looked at him and uday for few mins before walking into the mansion.

Manyata went straight to her room and closed the door she decided to have a shower so she can feel a little better. After 40 minutes manyata came out drying her hair. She felt a little better. When she was about to walk towards the dressing table she saw vijay in her room

Manyata: vijay bhai when did u come

Vijay: about 10 mins... come here... manyata went near him and sat down next to him on the bed

Manyata: what happened?

Vijay: u tell me what happened unnati forwarded me rajveer text when we were at the restaurant... Manyata looked at vijay for few secs and narrated everything that happened at the party while vijay was angry at the person who tried to force himself on his sister. Manyata saw vijay angry look and squeezed his hand

Manyata: im fine vijay bhai he was not able to do anything as rajveer and uday came on time... even last time uday came on time when raj was trying to rap... Rape pia and this time even uday was there when the same thing was about to happen to me she said looking into space

Vijay: give him some time manyata its not easy for someone to forget something like this... now come on get some nice sleep... he kissed manyata forehead and left the room.

Meanwhile at the singh mansion.

Uday walked into his room followed by rajveer

Rajveer: u still care for her... uday who was taking his watch off turned around

Rajveer: don't lie uv when u were cleaning her wound I saw the concern in ur eyes... when that guy was touching manyata inappropriately I saw anger in ur eyes as if u were trying to say nobody can touch her except u

Uday; its nothing like that ...out of humanity I was cleaning her wound rajveer and yes nobody can touch her because in few weeks she will be married to me... She made my life a hell by accusing me. I will make sure her life is not great for her after two weeks.

Rajveer: u wont do anything like that uday... even if u try to I know u wouldn't stoop that low anyways gd night. He said leaving the room as he knew nothing can get into his friend head right now... Uday went towards the balcony and stood there. Rajveer words were coming into his mind along with the incident that happened at the party... he walked towards his cupboard and opened it. There was a small drawer placed inside the cupboard. He took out the keys to open it and placed his hand inside to take an envelope out which had manyata name on it he looked at it with tears in his eyes but all of a sudden he angrily placed it back in the drawer and closed the cupboard angrily.

Next morning

Rajveer was doing push up when uday joined him. Both smiled at each other and continued with their workout.

Meanwhile at manyata place manyata had got ready around 7am it self... when she came down she saw imli cleaning up as nobody was down yet.

Imli: manyata didi where r u going.

Manyata: I will be back soon just tell everyone that I have a surprise for them when they come and with that she left quickly while imli looked at her in a confusion and then continued with her work. Around 7:30 manyata reached outside pia house.

When she went In she was greeted by lalit uncle who was reading his newspaper... she took blessing of him and sat down next to him,

Lalit: what a pleasant surprise beta how comes u r here so early.

Manyata: well I have come to pick pia uncle, I told her I have a surprise for her... I was going to come a little late but I didn't want to risk it as dad and vijay bhai would go to office and then probably mama and dadi would go and see how their business is doing. And me taking pia to an empty house would be a waste. And then she will have to wait till dinner time to probably meet everyone... lalit laughed seeing how manyata spoke in one go

Lalit: so ur surprise for pia is to take her to ur place so she can meet everyone

Manyata: bingo

Lalit: beta u do know that pia would probably be sleeping

Manayata: u don't worry I will wake her up... Lalit nodded and manyata went to pia room

When manyata entered pia room she saw her sleeping. Manyata moved towards the window and open opened the curtains so the sun light could spread into the room.

Manyata went and sat next to pia and tried to wake her up

Manyata: pia wake up come on it 7:30

Pia: that is early let me sleep she said still with her eyes closed

Manyata: ok fine sleep but then forget about ur surprise... Hearing the work surprise pia opened her eyes and looked at manyata... she slowly got up and sat next to manyata on the bed

Pia: what is the surprise? Where is it?

Manyata; well for that u have to get ready now come on get up and freshen up she said moving away from the bed and helped pia to get to the washroom while pia was having a shower manyata started choosing an outfit for her... Around 7:50am pia came out of the washroom and manyata gave her the clothes and she went to the changing room to get ready.

When she came out manyata did her hair.

Manyata: pia where r ur tablets?

Pia: in the first drawer. Manyata opened the drawer and placed the small packet in her purse

Manyata: come lets go.

Manyata and pia headed out and said bye to lalit. Pia got in the car. But before manyata started the car she blindfolded pia.

Pia: manyata what the hell r u doing.

Manyata: surprise is a surprise. I don't want u to know where we r going.

Pia: ughhh I hate u

Manyata; love u too she said starting the car. Around 8:15 manyata reached to the mansion a bit early because of less traffic. She got out of the car and went to pia side helping her get out of the car.

Pia: manyata at least let me take the blind fold off.

Manyata: pia just few minutes more I promise. Pia nodded and manyata slowly started taking her when they entered inside and hid behind the pillar...manyata made sure if everyone was down yet. She slowly checked the dining area and saw everyone at the dining table and knew that nobody had started breakfast yet as imli and komal were bringing the food from the kitchen. She went behind the pillar again and took out pia blind fold but before pia could speak manyata covered her mouth.

Manyata: shh don't talk loudly everyone is at the dining table. Pia looked a little confused but when she saw the other part of the mansion she knew she was at manyata place.

Pia: is everyone here? She whispered

Manyata: yes when we go near the dining area u hide behind me. It will be a surprise for all of u to see each other at the same time. pia smiled getting very happy.

Pia hid behind manyata while manyata started walking ahead... brij noticed manyata walking towards them

Brij: manyata beta where did u go early in the morning. Imli said that u have a surprise for us.

Manyata: haan papa I do

Mrinalini: what is the surprise beta. Manyata smiled and moved to the side so everyone can see pia... vijay was surprised to see pia... While brij, komal, j and mrinalini were shocked but happy to see pia after 3 years. While pia had a big smile on her face.. all moved towards her. Komal held pia from the shoulder and then slowly cupped her cheeks and gave a peck on her forehead.

Komal: I still cant believe u have finally came back. How r u beta?

Pia: all good komal ma... She said with tears of happiness in her eyes.

Brij: beta u don't know how much we all missed u whenever I met lalit I always asked him when u would come back from new York. But he kept on saying u wanted to stay there a little longer. Manyata and pia looked at each other.

Mrinalini: and here I thought u would come for ur best friends engagement but u didn't turn up and even lalit was out of station that day

Vijay: u guys r too much here pia has came and u guys r just making her stand at least invite her to the dining table he said changing the topic so nobody questions pia more. But before that let me give u a big hug he said hugging pia

J: now only I am left. happy to have u back pia di. Now come and sit with us and have breakfast she said taking pia hand.. everyone sat down.

Mrinalini: manyata I must admit ur surprise was the best

Brij: pia beta when did u arrive in india

Pia: I came yesterday uncle brij. So I called manyata and she gave the idea of surprising she said looking at manyata who smiled at her.

Komal: pia here take some juice

Jay: pia did u staying here till dinner time.

Vijay: y till dinner time pia could stay here for the night or as many days as she wants

Pia: that's sweet of u vijay bhai but u know dad would be alone and I don't want to leave him alone after so many years. The other nodded as they thought that pia is probably talking about been in new York alone but only manyata and vijay knew what she actually meant... and yes j I will be staying till dinner time

Vijay: cool and we will come to drop u of. All continued having breakfast... after 30 mins brij and vijay had left to go office. While komal, manyata, mrinalini, j and pia were sitting in the living area.

J: pia di now that u r back let me tell u one thing

Pia: what j?

J: that yesterday we youngsters decided that we will make arrangements of the functions that will be held before the wedding. And once we r sure that is sorted we r going to make sure that the wedding goes well along with the functions held after that so im sorry di but u have no chance to relax and im not asking u but im telling u that u r helping us out in this as we only have about two weeks before the wedding?

Pia: of course im in j after all its my besites wedding

J: cool and u will get to meet others by the way u haven't seen uday bhai yet. Pia looked at manyata and then acted surprise

Pia: nope I haven't plus manyata didn't show a pic of him to me as she said when I get here then I would meet him in person.

Mrinalini: ok beta u guys continue talking me and komal have to leave for some event and then go to see how the workers r doing at the office.

Pia: bye see u guy soon.

J: wait even I will come I just need to see an outfit before it gets sent off. All 3 left while it was only manyata and pia left

Manyata: u want to rest for a bit as u woke up early, and u do seem a little tired

Pia: yh I guess so chal lets go... they headed to manyata room. Manyata covered pia with the blanket and was stroking pia head. Once she was sure pia slept she went towards the table and sat down to continue working on the client file that she and unnati were working on together. She was so busy into her work that it had been an hour that she had got a call from vijay. She quickly answered it so pia doesn't wake up by the sound and went outside closing the door carefully.

Manyata: hey vijay bhai.

Vijay: hey sorry I know I disturbed ur time with ur bestie but first I want to know r the others around

Manyata: nope they all went out as they had their own work to do. Pia is sleeping so I was doing my office work what happened though.

Vijay: manyata do u member we went to the police station 3 days ago and the inspector said the case hearing is after 3 days meaning it was today?

Manyata: today? Vijay bhai I actually forgot about it,

Vijay: yh it was meant to be in the afternoon around 12 but I didn't remind u as I didn't want u to attend.

Manyata: what do u mean it was meant to be?

Vijay: the case hearing is tomorrow at the same time. if u don't want to go u don't have to

Manyata: no vijay bhai I will come, I actually want to hear the court punish that guy she said angrily

Vijay: I know my manyata bhai but I just didn't want u to be more hurt by seen him

Manyata: vijay bhai I will be more hurt if I don't see him getting punished.

Vijay: ok do inform pia though she will have to be at the court

Manyata: bye vijay bhai... once she cut the call she was thinking about how she forgot about the court hearing day. She went back to her room to see pia sleeping peacefully she went to the other side of the bed and looked at Pia while stroking her head. Thinking about all the incidents from meeting raj then Uday... then the incident that happened at uni which changed everyone's life and how she blamed Uday. While thinking about all this she didn't realise when she fell asleep.

Manyata woke up after few hours when she saw the time it was about 1pm. She sat up straight and turned to pia side but got confused when she didn't find pia anywhere. She checked in the washroom but there was no sign of her She decided to go and check down while calling her name. She was about to call out to pia again when she heard familiar voices coming from downstairs.

She walked down the stairs and was looking towards the living room when she saw. Vasundra along with unnati, rajveer, Uday and shanti. Sitting with Komal, mrinalini and pia. She kind of relaxed when she saw pia.

Komal : look here comes manyata... Everyone turned towards manyata which made her awkward as she always hates it when everyone is always looking at her. She smiled slightly and bent to take shanti blessing while vasu hugged her and made her sit next to her.

Vasu: beta u feeling ok

Manyata: yes Aunty y what happened

Vasu: no it's just that your sweet friend told us your sleeping so we thought u might be not feeling well

Manyata: no I was just a little tired and didn't realise when I slept.

Shanti : beta y r looking a little tensed.

Manyata: no dadi its nothing like that.

Komal: now that manyata is here I will go and see if lunch is ready

Manayata: nobody ate yet?

Vasu: no beta komal was going to serve lunch but I told her we will wait for u... komal come even I will help u... komal nodded and both she and vasu headed towards the kitchen.

Shanti: so pia... Now that u r here I hope u will be with ur best friend during all the functions.

Pia: ji dadi.

Mrinalini: shanti I just remembered I was going to show u something come with me... both she and shanti also left leaving the youngsters alone.

Pia: oye handsome y r u quite she said moving to uday and linked her arounds him.

Pia: u r and since I came back from hospital u never called me or came to see me in fact I was surprised that this duffer came she said looking at rajveer.

Rajveer: oh hello this is not fair u call me a duffer despite the fact that I came to see u and uv didn't come to see u and u still call him handsome.

Pia: that is because uday is handsome so I will call him handsome only and u r duffer so obviously I will call u duffer... unnati and manyata smiled seen their small cute arguments.. manyata casually looked at uday and saw him sitting in between pia and rajveer but he seemed comfortable and calm... though he didn't look towards her... Manyata looked away slowly and her thoughts went back to when vijay called her... after few mins she felt unnati slightly shaking her.

Manyata: what happened she said looking at everyone to see uday also looking at her.

Unnati: where were u lost pia was saying something to u.

Manyata: sorry what where u saying pia

Pia: I was saying y didn't u tell me about last night incident that happened to u at the party u know rajveer told me just now.

Manyata: I forgot pia and I didn't want u to worry.

Pia: what do u mean u didn't want me to worry if something like this would have happened to me then u... pia stopped speaking as she realised what she was saying... Something like this had happened to her... tears started welling in her eyes before manyata could go and comfort pia.. uday pulled her in a hug... Manyata was not sure if she should go near pia as she was sitting right next to uday... she was thinking if she should go near pia or not but finally she decided she will... manyata got up and went near to uday and bent down sitting on her knees in front of pia who was still in uday arm. Manyata took pia hand that was laying on her lap.

Manyata: im sorry ... the reason y I didn't tell u was because I didn't want u to remember the incident that happened to u few years ago... I know u still haven't recovered with whatever happened in the past and it will take time. but pia raj will get his punishment he doesn't deserve to be set free after what he has done to u... if... if uday hadn't reached on time then he would have rap...pia vijay bhai called tomorrow is the case hearing date. We have to go to the court tomorrow.

Rajveer: what time is the hearing date? Manyata looked at rajveer.

Uday: its not easy to forget everything pia... the humiliation I felt when I was blamed for something I haven't done... u all r saying that I should give a chance to manyata... I would have after all this years if it was a small misunderstanding but nobody will forgive anyone easily when they blamed an innocent of raping someone. In fact u all tell me what if u guys were blamed for raping someone and then u were told to forgive that person who blamed u and made u go through a humiliation in front of people...just because he/she found out that u r innocent would u forgive that person so easily. All were having their lunch and once they finished komal and vasu went in the kitchen while mrinalini and shanti stayed back at the dining table and the youngsters sat in the living area.

Pia; uday im sorry I didn't mean to force u in forgiving manyata. Its not like im telling u to forgive her because she is my best friend but u both r my friend and I want the best for u.

Uday: I know pia

Manyata: what if we break this marriage or delay it? Everyone looked at manyata stunned by what she said while uday looked at manyata with a questioning look

Unnati: manyata have u lost it she said quietly so the elders cant hear her

Manyata: no I mean... this marriage is only going to make our family happy because they don't know about our past but our life will be messed up she said looking at everyone then uday.

Manyata: I thought about the others that y I thought about this. The way things r we wont be happy with each other... if u r worried about us breaking the marriage and our family facing too many questions then we don't have to do that we could delay the wedding as we r already engaged after few month or a year or so we could call of the wedding saying we just didn't get along or something.

Pia: manyata isn't it too late now?

Manyata: no before I thought it was too late but there are so many ppl who get engaged first and then call of their wedding because of differences... we had only sent out the invitation card for the engagement as the wedding card was going to be printed separately that had the other functions listed on and as far as I know they haven't been sent off

Unnati: u seriously want to do this manyata?

Manyata: let me be honest... she said looking at uday who was looking at her... manyata then looked at the others and continued... Before when only our relation was fixed vijay bhai had told me that I could back off as its not late yet... but I said no at that time because all I could see was everyone having a big smile on their face... that time I didn't even say yes for this relationship... before I could say no uday said we both agree to this proposal and that shocked me I wanted to say no but I couldn't and like I said the reason was seen everyone happy face. Rajveer: manyata is right.. maybe this is best for everyone... I mean we all r pacifying uday to forgive manyata but if they give time to each other and then their relationship then there is no harm.

Manyata: think about it ? If possible do let me know by tonight... She said looking at uday.

Komal: come on kids the desert is here...

Rajveer: what u r thinking about?.. uday closed his eyes

Uday: about what she said

Rajveer: she? Oh u mean manyata... uday glared at rajveer

Rajveer: don't give me that look u know I am not scared of u. he said cracking up which made uday smile a little

Around 4 mrinalini and komal came back

Mrinalini: imli where is manyata?

Imli: dadi ji she is in her room with pia didi

Mrinalini: komal I will go and meet manyata till then.. komal nodded while mrinalini went to manyata.

When she reached outside manyata room she knocked

Manyata: come in... mrinalini entered the room and saw manyata and pia watching a movie on the laptop. Manyata and pia looked at the door to see mrinalini

Mrinalini: Im sorry to disturb u girls she said coming and sat near manyata on the bed

Manyata: come on dadi u haven't disturbed us.

Mrinalini: manyata beta I wanted to speak to u

Pia: I will go downstairs till then before she could go mrinalini stopped her.

Mrinalini: pia beta u don't need to go from the room.

Manyata: what happened dadi is everything ok?

Mrinalini: that I want to know from u... manyata and pia looked at each other then at mrinalini

Manyata; what u trying to say dadi.

Mrinalini: beta I didn't miss the look that u and komal shared during lunch time but when I asked her on our way to work she told me about u asking to delay the wedding... manyata got a little tensed.

Manyata: dadi actually

Mrinalini: I am not angry with u manyata but I just want to know what made this thought come into your head.

Manyata: dadi things r just going to early... I think everything is been rushed... if the wedding got delayed then maybe me and uday could get enough time to know each other she said coming up with an excuse.

Mrinalini: beta though its normal for every girl as they think the days r going so quickly but if u still want to get to know uday more and delay this wedding then its fine but...manyata looked at mrinalini hopefully

Manyata: but what dadi

Mrinialini: like komal said this cant be your decision even if uday agrees then only we can delay the wedding... but even if uday says no then u can do one thing

Manyata: and what is that

Mrinalini: share whatever u feel with him let him know what u r thinking and how u r thinking... just pour your heart out to him...be friends with him. She said cupping manyata face and then left the room... manyata looked at pia.

Manyata: I tried all that pia I was friends with him but I ruined that friendship with my own hands... I did pour out my heart to him when I was feeling guilty for accusing him... pia placed her hand on manyata shoulder.

Pia: don't lose hope manyata... just pray that uday also agrees with this decision and I just hope everything goes well
