Chapter 6
Manyata was giving him another one of her icy glares. She wasn't going to forgive him easily. And trying to make her forgive him on their first date would be hard.
DS told manyata to go and get ready so she could go out for tea with uday.
She frowned and at uday and made her way up to her room. She opened the doors to her walk in closet in her room and tried to choose what dress to wear. Uday who just came in stood by the door andobserved her. He stayed there until she sighed in frustration when she couldn't decide what to wear. So, he went behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist And leaned his chin against her right shoulder. Manyata almost jumped until he softly whispered in her ear, "what's annoying my beautiful princess." her heart skipped a beat and when he kissed her neck she almost felt light-headed. His grip around her waist tighten and then she remembered how he tried to embarrass her several times downstairs. She pushed him away.
"Get away from me you kamina insaan and don't touch me."
"But your about to be my wife so…"
"About to. I am not yet your wife. And get out of my room."
Uday changed the topic and said,
"You can't find anything to wear, right?"
"As much as I would like to disagree with you. No I can't find anything to wear. "
"Well, since you dont know where we are going i got you something to wear. It's on your bed. Come on."
Uday took her hand and led her back to her room. On her bed lay box coveredin expensive wrapping and decorated with a grey bow. Her eyes looked at his face questioningly but he said nothing. She picked it up and opened the gift like a child opening a birthday present. He smiled seeing her act like this.
Inside the box was a gorgeous dark blue dress. It had a lace bodice with a caught up skirt making this gown fit for a princess.

She hugged uday. He wrapped his arms around her.
"Thank you it's beautiful."
"Your welcome princess. So does this mean I'm forgiven?"
"Just because i hugged you and said thank you that sure not mean you are forgiven udayveer Singh."
He knew how long girls held grudge and manyata wasn't going to forgive him so easily. But he was going to make her forgive him by the end of this evening. And he would make sure of that.
"Ok fine, princess. " Not wanting to argue. He just told her to get changed and come downstairs and when she ready.
Manyata applied some light make-up, put her hair up in a fancy bun, wore the dress, put on her silver bracelet,heel and grabbed her clutch from the closet.
She inspected herself in the mirror. Once she gave herself a nod of approval she made her way downstairs.
She entered the parlour where everyone was sat. They all turned and looked at her, awed by her appearance. Vijay walked over to manyata.
"Manyata Bhai don't you think your over dressed for your first date."
"Actually vijay munna I bought this dress for princess. She doesn't even know where we are going."
"Oh how romantic we want all the details when you get back." Jay ordered and unatti stood up besides her and nodded.
Brijraj walked to his eldest daughter. "Beta, I am so glad that I have got two beautiful daughter. And if it was up to me I would never let you go." His voice broke twice.
"Papa, please don't be upset. I'll always be your daughter."
"Arrey brijraj, she is my daughter too you know." Giriraj added.
"Giriraj, she is my daughter first and loves me more than you"
"Of she doesn't. Beta please tell brijraj he is wrong."
"Stop worrying my granddaughter. Look at what you've done. She's crying now because of the two of two. "
Anjali and komal pushed their way past their husbands and whilst komal hugged manyata Anjali said,
"Manyata, you know that none if us can see you sad never mind cry. Please don't cry, beta. And stroked her hair."
"Bhabhi ..."
Jay glared at unatti with daggers.
"She is not your bhabi."
"Ok., ok, ok. Meri honay wali bhabi Please go and enjoy yourself with dada. This room is getting too emotional."
She took her blessing from theelders and walked out; uday beside her. They sat in the back and the driver begun to drive to their destination.
30 minutes later ...
"Princess, you did well ignoring me in the car. Now will you talk to me."
The car stops and she begin to walk.
"Errr, princess your going in the wrong direction."
She turns around and walks. There is only one building surrounded by several acres of grassy fields.

"What is this place?"
Uday smirked manyata just spoke to him he was sure she would be on good terms after this evening.
"This is place where we used to come with our parents for picnics. I never been here since you were kidnapped. It wouldn't be the same without you."
His eyes soften ever so slightly.
" Let's go to the garden round the back you see that stream over there."She understood what he was referring to. "We used to have our water fights there. You used to hate getting wet but you used to love throwing water on me. "
He smiled at the memory.
"You see that swing over there." He pointed to a tree further out in the field. "We used to fight over who sat on it first that was until you started to cry and then I would let you sit on it. I hated it when you cried."
He looked back at manyata.
"I was hoping you would like it here."
"It's lovely thank you."
They walked around a huge oak tree and there was a picnic prepared under the shade of the tree. They ate, talked and laughed until uday asked,
"Princess please forgive me."
"Why? So you could embarrass me more when we get back."
"No, because I love you."
She was shocked. This was the first time he said I love you to her. She just smiled. Right now she felt like the luckiest girl in the world. He then got out the ring from his pocket and put it onto his finger. She hugged him.
"I love you too, uday."
He wrapped his arms around her. When they finally parted the sun was setting. The both watch it silence. Uday was laying down in manyata's lap now. She stroked his hair whist she looked up at the sky.
"It's beuatiful." She whispered.
"Manyata."
"Hmmm?"
"What are yalu think?"
"How my life changed so quickly for the better."
"Manyata?"
"Hmmm?"
He had a glass of water in his hand and splashed it in her faces. She screamed and he got up and sprinted off across the field of neatly cut grass.
"YUVRAJ UDAYVEER SINGH, JUST WAIT! IM GOING TO KILL YOU!"
"Tsk,tsk,tsk. That not a very nice thing to say to fiancnor is it ladylike or princess-like."
Manyata was close behind uday. Uday heard her yelp in pain
"Princess", he said with a worried look. "Are you ok?"
"Of course I'm not ok, you scoundrel. Why don't you try to run in heels?"
He made his way to her, picked her up, took her inside and place her on a recliner in the living room. Manyata gazed around completely awe-struck.
Uday went and found a first aid kit, he applied some cream on her ankle to reduce the swelling and wrapped it in a bandage.
"Uday, who decorated this house."
"Our mothers. Well they designed it and got the professional decorators to complete their ideas."
"Oh, never knew they're so good at interior designing. Uday could we go for a drive now, please."
"Sure, we have sometime until we need to get back."
"Princess I'm sorry", he said as he saw her wince in pain while she tried to stand up.
It's ok just help me walk to the car.
He picked manyata up in hisarms instead; she protested and he just continued to walk and place her in the car with a smirk all the way there.
They talked about trivial things until manyata asked him,
"Uday why did you make me wear this dress when we weren't doing anything which required me to dress up."
"Princess, i like it when you dress up. It makes the beauty you have on the insideshine even more brightly on the outside.I'm happy to know that you wore the dress I chose."
She smiled at his response.
"No matter what I say, please remember I love you."
"As do I to you."
And with that she gave him a kiss in his cheek and put her head against his chest listening to his heartbeat.
