Chapter-2

There was a lot of commotion in the press conference room. The reporters were all excited regarding the meeting and were talking amongst themselves,the combined sound of cameras clicking and excited tones created a very busy atmosphere. Everyone was eagerly waiting for uday to come.. after a long wait suddenly the voices raised and all started shouting UDAYVEER SINGH HAY HAY as he entered the room with dignity,head held high. He smiled at everyone,clasping his hands in a Namaste even to those people who were ranting against him. He went staright for the conference table and took his seat. The reporters started speaking all together creating a huge commotion in the room. Raj,who stood beside uday,raised his hands and said- plzzz.. one at a time.. istarah hum kisibhi sawal ka jawab nhi de sakte..plzzz try to understand'!!

The room became a lil quiet. Raj chose a reporter frm the frnt row who stood up and asked- mr. udayveer singh, kya ye sach hain ki aapne apne powers ka istamal karke rajesh tiwari jaise imandaar police officer ki courtmartial karwaye the? And that also without any definite cause?

The room fell silent.. the people who were shouting against udayveer also lowered down their voices into soft murmers.. udayveer glanced at raj beside him and smiled,raj returned his smile. He was amazed to see how uday handled the mob with such ease. He had assumed that things have gone too far this time bt he had forgotten that uday cn be really charming and gentle if needed and cn make anyone fall into his charm. Bt'.. he was wrong'..

A sound of clapping was heard frm the back of the room,a single person clapping.. everyone turned back including uday who was a bit surprised followed their gaze and his eyes stuck on the girl in the last row,green salwar,with the dupatta hanging down her neck. She was standing there,clapping..

Uday reached for the microphone and said-agar aapko kuch bhi kehna hain to aap plzz samne akar kahiye.. istarah piche baithke tali mat bajaiye..

The girl stopped clapping and slowly made her way through the crowd and came and stood in frnt of them. Uday had recognized her at once,bt he tried to keep calm..

The girl- namaste sir.. hamara naam manyata tiwari hain.. hum wohi police officer rajesh tiwari ki beti hain jinhone AAPKE khilaf, Mr. udayveer singh ke khilaf jhute case banana ki jurrat ki thi'

Uday controlled his temper and maintained the smile on his lips- manyata aap'

Manyata- wah manyata ji se manyata ki safar apne kitni asani se tay kar li'kyun?

Uday-I am sorry manyata ji.. par hum aapki koi madat nhi kar sakte..

Her eyes welled up and her cheeks turned redder.. bt just for some moments.. she controlled herself and returned back to her normal state..

She turned towards the other people present in the room and said- doston.. hum yahan aye the udayveer singh ko ye batane ke liye ki unki mithi mithi baton ka humpar aur koi asar nhi honewali .. hum jaan chuke hain ki woh kitna ghatiya insaan hain' aur is elections mein hum unhe kabhi bhi jitney nhi denge..

With that she turned and the general mob followed her shouting "UDAYVEER SINGH HAY HAY" on top of their voices'

The reporters too ran behind them to take their comments.. while uday and his people stood there, frozen .. with no idea of what to do'

Jay and raj left the room,unsure of what he was thinking. As soon as they were gone uday switched on the tv.. manyata was being shown everywhere,raising her voice against him' he observed her carefully,very very carefully,with a crooked smile on his lips'

Uday- tumne hamari asli chehra dekha kahan hain manyata? Par aab dekhogi' kya kare.. itni pyaari ladki ka dil hum nhi tod sakte'. He laughed out loudly,his whole body shook with the convulsions of his laughter'.
