And before I could say something he left my side and walked away leaving me there still in shock, rooted to one place trying hard to process what he had said. He hadn't been long gone when his sister came to my side, VJ and J were going back to the raj mahal after Uday to find out what was going on in his mind and I finally managed to speak

Me: Ye saab kya tha, Unnati (what just happened Unnati)

U: Humme bhi nahi pata (even I don't know)'monia mahal wapas chalo, DS ne dada ke wapas ane par ek party di hai (Monia, let's ga back to the mahal, DS has thrown a party on UV's return)

Very slowly I made my way back towards my home. Maybe I am dreaming, Uday can never say this NO WAY -not in a million years. I tried very hard to convince myself but the expression on Uday's face didn't let me. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize that I had showered and dressed but when I did; I saw that I was wearing a simple sky-blue anarkali suit with silver work on it. Udayhad gifted me this one last week and I really wanted to take it off but it was so beautiful that I just couldn't bring myself to do it but I also knew that a dress like that should have some things to go with. So I wore some silver bangles, earrings and one of J's silver 6 inch heels ----HEY, DON'T GET ME WRONG I DON'T WANT TO MAKE HER MAD IT'S JUST THAT I LIKE THOSE HEELS AND J'S NEVER WORN THEM PLUS IF WE ARE SISTERS CAN'T WE SHARE THINGS!!!---- plus I applied a little make-up as well. I slowly made my way towards the hall but I couldn't bring myself to enter it and then suddenly a felt a presence next to me. He held out his hand and I gladly accepted it.

UV: Don't worry you look beautiful

Me: thanks ----WHAT THE HELL!!! WE BOTH ARE BEHAVING AS IF NOTHING HAS HAPPENED ----

He slowly led me inside the hall, I see J's eyes narrowing for 2 reasons I guess ' she noticed that I was wearing her heels and she didn't expect me & Uday to behave like this. Forget her; even I didn't expect us to behave like this. VJ was a little surprised and was trying very hard to come up with a remark alas he failed. Mom, Mata ji & Maharaj ji were pleased but it seemed that they all remembered something simultaneously and their faces fell but I must say they impressed me they retrieved their smiles in a matter of seconds.

Komal: Aap bahut sundar lag rahi hai beta (you are looking beautiful dear)

That's all she said to me because after that the party started, it was all very blurry to me because I was busy thinking about Uday. My eyes seemed to follow wherever he went, sometimes talking to Mata ji sometimes chatting with friends or business associates, he seemed to be everywhere and suddenly the lights dimmed and the spot light was on J.

J: Hey guys, can I have your attention please? As you all know ki aaj ki party Uday ke naam hai aur lagta hai ki Uday usse bilkul enjoy nahi kar raha(as you all know this party is for Uday but it seems like he isn't enjoying it at all) toh humne decide kiya hai ki hum sab ek game khelte hai (so let's play a game)

VJ: Kaisa game J bhai (what game)

J: Well VJ bhai, game aisa hai ki ek bowl mein ladko ke naam hai aur ek mein ladkiyon ka, hum har baar do logo ka naam draw karenge aur who dono ek saath ek dance karenge (the game goes like this ' a guy and a girl will be drawn from the chits in the bowls and they have to dance)

VJ: But J bhai ye toh bahut common game hai (but it is a very common game)

J: I know VJ bhai that's why uss couple ko ek dance style present karna hoga (I know, that's why the couple have to present a dance style) 'sab aapna song toh choose kar sakte hai par dance hum bataege (they can choose the song they are going to dance on but we will give them the dance style)

VJ: Well done, J bhai

J: I tell you

The first couples were some Sasha (U's friend) and Tanmay (Uday's friend), the second were Maharaj Girjraj and Mataji they danced on Dil Toh Bacha Hai Ji ' Ishqiya in ballroom style. 3^rd were Maharaj ji and Vijay ki mummy ji on Saiyaan ' U Me aur Hum where vijay ki mummy ji portrayed herself and Maharaj ji mimicked her hubby ' they had everyone laughing through their act. Next were Unnati and Shubh (a prince 'don't ask me where, the name flew outta my head) on Chammak Challo ' Ra.One , style was bollywood. Then, 4 names were left Uday's, VJ's, J's and mine so J announced that she'll dance with Uday and VJ will dance with me and strangely both men agreed. J told us that the style is waltz just to embarrass me, poor girl little did she know I knew waltz ' when I was in Delhi they had free dancing classes every afternoon so I generally knew all dance style but waltz was my personal favorite. The lights dimmed once again and the spotlight was on all 4 of us. Our song did not start immediately and when it did I felt that someone was singing it. I half turned and realized that I was correct once again Uday was singing Kabhi Na Kabhi To Miloge ' Shaapit and even though he was in J's arms, I felt he was singing for me ----GOD WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING'GROW UP MANYATA'DID I JUST CALL MYSELF MANYATA, SEE I AM GOING MAD---- J was extremely displeased when she saw that I had managed to match all of VJ's steps so she silently gestured him to twirl me around but Uday & I both managed to catch this. VJ twirled me and Uday did the same to J and the next thing I knew was that I was in Uday's arms, I raised my eyes to meet his and the world ceased to matter. I could hear our heart beating rapidly but in sync, I could feel the heat and electricity all around us. I had no idea what was happening so I lowered my eyes but I did realize that he was still gazing my face. It felt like some unknown force was pulling me towards him so I raised my eyes to meet his again and felt as if they were talking to me and what they said shattered a piece inside me, they said goodbye. The song ended and we broke apart only to realize that we were the only couple dancing on the floor. Everyone was applauding us except for 3 people: Mom, Mata ji & Maharaj ji. After almost 2 hours the party ended and all the guests left. Uday & Unnati also bid farewell and I was also about to make my way to my room when:

DS: Manyata

Me: Ji Mata ji (yes mata ji)

DS: Uday ne humme sab kuch bata diya hai (uday has told me everything)

Me: Kya bata diya (what has he told you)

DS: Ki ussne aap dono ka roka tod diya (that he has broken your engagement) <PAUSE>

Ki aap Akash se pyaar karti hai (that you love Akash) kya ye saach hai (is this true)

Me: Ji Mata ji (yes mata ji) mai akash se pyaar karti hoon aur usse shaadi karna chahati hoon (I love him and want to marry him)

DS: Theek hai Manyata (ok Manyata)agar aap ek achche Rajkumari ban gaye toh ek saal ke baad hum aapki ki shaadi kar denge. Manzoor hai (if you become a proper rajkumari then I will get you married to Akash after 1 year. Do you accept it)

Me: Ji Mata ji (yes mata ji)

DS: Aap ja sakti hai, Manyata (you can go, Manyata)

Then I turned to leave but my curiosity got better of me. I hid at the nearest safest spot I could find, Maharaj ji was saying something to Mata ji, maybe he too wanted to know why Mata ji granted me the permission to marry Akash so easily and as if she heard my question she said

DS: Aap jante hai Brijraj ki hum Uday ko mana nahi kar sakte(you know very well Brijraj that I can't refuse Uday)'ussne humse kaha ki hum Manyata ko unki khushi wapas dila de toh humne wahi kiya(and he wanted to return Manyata her happiness and I did just that)

Brij: Par Maa Saheb (but Mom)

DS: Ussne aapko aur Komal bhi kasam de di na Brijraj (he also made you and Komal promise, didn't he)

Brij: Ji Maa Saheb (yes Mom)
