MANYATA'S POV (1 year later)

It was the day I was eagerly waiting for. The day when I will finally get the guy I love. The day I'll finally become his despite the pressure placed upon me. It's Saturday 9^th February. I am sitting in my room in front of my dressing table getting ready especially for him. 1 year ago I would've gotten ready in 10 minutes and today I am taking 4 hours (that's a lot) but it's worth it. For the first time I like what I see in the mirror. Eyes lined with brown eyeliner, silver-blue mix eye shadow, baby pink lipstick and just a hint of blusher. 4 diamond sets adorned in my neck, a huge set of matching earrings, 2 dozen bangle in each hand, anklets (that's way too much for me) and hair tied in a tidy chignon but it's worth it ' that's what Unnati said. I am wearing a heavy red lehnga with sky blue border, matching red blouse and an extremely heavy red dupatta with sky blue borders too with silver work on it but something is still amiss; aren't brides supposed to be excited or nervous? I am neither; I don't feel a damn thing maybe because I am thinking about him again. He was the one who made it all possible but he isn't here. He, made me choose this outfit but he isn't here to see it. Sky blue and white are his favorite colors. (Hey, I substituted white for the silver work or else DS would've killed me). I hated him but now I just want to see him once. JUST ONCE'once, before I get married. I want to ask him 1 single question ' "WHY UDAY". He wanted my kingdom, we both know he did then why the change of heart. Why he (out of all the people) ask DS, mom and dad to get me married to Akash. After that, he left Mumbai without meeting anyone and didn't come back. I silently prayed to god -

"Bhagwaan ji, please Uday ko wapas bhej do, mujhe mere sawalo ke jawab chahiye, PLEASSEEE"

(God, please send Uday back, I really want the answers to my questions)

and Akash calls.

M: (cuts him off) Bas'bahut bol liya ab tum suno, (Enough, u have said enough now listen to me)

1stly, Uday paagal nahi hai (1stly, Uday is not mad)

2ndly, usske kaaran humari shaadi ho rahi hai, ussne sab ko manaya tha, ya who bhi bhool gaye (2ndly, we are getting married because of him, he had persuaded everyone or you have forgotten that already). Tumhe saach mein lagta hai ki DS aur DAD shaadi ke liye aise hi haan bol denge (do you really think that DS & Dad would've readily accepted our alliance)

A: Moniya, tum mujhse aise baat kyu kar rahi ho? (Moniya, why are you talking to me like this)
M: jab tum mere dost ke bare mein aisa bol sakte ho toh mein tumse aise baat kyu nahi kar sakti (when you can speak ill of my friend then why can't I do the same with you)

A: Really, jab tak who yaha tha, tum ussse nafarat kiya karti thi (Really, when he was here you used to hate him)

M: I agree'par jo ussne kiya who ek dost hi kar sakta tha (I agree but only a friend can do what he did for me)

A: Woh dur ho kar bhi humare rishte ko tod raha hai, kya tumhe dikhai nahi deta, Moniya? (He is breaking our relation even though he is far away from us, can't you see, Moniya)

M: Dikhai deta hai Akash'ache tarah dikhai deta hai ki tum insecure ho rahe ho. Ab mein phone rakti hoon (cuts the call) (I do Akash'I do see that you are getting insecure. I'll talk to you later)

Oh no!!! She fought with Akash again but sometimes she just couldn't help it. His behavior sometimes made her blood boil. Truth was she was fed up with the daily drama. There used to be a time when they rarely fought now it's the exact opposite. There wasn't a day when she didn't scream at him and the reason for their fights were UV, Akash insecurity, my family, responsibilities and so on.
