She felt a sudden loss of something when someone took her thumb out of her mouth. she tries to put it again but in vain when her thumb was again pulled aside .this happens often..someone always do this to her whenever she put her thumb inside the mouth.
*damn..its her mouth*
she was sad that she couldn't do anything about it.arghh...she agitatedly tried again only to open her water tap when she felt bitter like taste in her mouth.her shrill tone echoed in her entire house..to calm her cries down her father took that small bundle 6 months old Navetha draped in her pink fluffy blanket sewed with dora boots interwined arms..he patted her back by placing her chin on his shoulder and held his daughter in his embrace.
'kuzhandhaiku ennachu?..yen ipdi vidaaama azhara?..nave's father asked his wife.
'vaaila eppo paathalum viral choopite irukka..ippo inda pazhakkatha niruthalana appadiye pazhagiduva..ada..'she was interrupted by her husband.
'adukkaga!...enna panna en pillaya ippadi azhara..?'again nave rkos in her father's arms...'enna chellam!...azha koodathu..daddy vandhachula...amma enna pannanga?...ammava adichidalama...'he started pacifying his daughter..
Her mother tried hard not to stare at him...
'unga pillaya yaarum edhum pannala...valila viral vaikkama irukka lesa vaeppa ilai ya daan thadav...'
She couldn't continue her scentence when she noticed her husband's glare...she gathered her wits and said
'enna moraikkiringa!...inda pazhakkatha nirutha idaan ore vazhi...'she stopped when she noticed her husband is still glaring..'ennanga?...idu ellarum pannradhu daan!...enga amma kooda ipdi daan enakku vaeppa ila vachanga!...ennama?' she turned around seeking help from her mother.
Nave's grand mother nodded with a smile.
Nave's father shook his head and walked out of room throwing and catching tiny nave up in the air to stop her cries..sorry..rkos...
At night nave's mother sung a lullaby to put her into sleep..she gently placed her on crib and smiled whn she saw the tiny bundle sleeping peacefully cuddling dora boots spongy teddy...
After 8yrs
'amma!...amma!...'nave's voice boomed in the entire house.
'ennada chellam?...'nave's father asked her with a smile..
'appa!...unga per ammava?'she questioned with irritation but her innocence reflects in her eyes..it says that she is really angry and also sends message to her father that she really needs to settle some scores with her amma..
Instead of getting angry he just chukled himself and bend down to her ear level.nave's ears too picked up too curious to know what secret her father is going to disclose.

Nave didn't turn to look at her father's direction..she just blinked her eyes like a fish..then she started her finding amma mission!'

'neenga daan appadi sonninga..enakku theriyum'..nave looked at her mother..she couldn't keep her emotions in check.
'naan ennadi sonnen!..enna vishyam nu sollu..avanga enna sonnanga?'..
Nave started crying..
'illa.. neenga daan appadi sonninga..' in berween her sobs.

' neenga daan appadi sonninga..' her tone raised by a pitch and cries too...
Her mother started losing patience..still not giving up she tried..

' neenga daan appadi sonninga..'and started crying again..her mother who had bent down to her face level now stood up and resumed her cooking ignoring nave's cries and jibes..
Nave who was expecting her mother to console her was shocked to see her mother's lack of attention towards her...she even tried to get attention by raising her voice a bit..and looked at her mother..poor girl still didn't get any attention...
Hmmph...her mother knows her too much...
Knowing her mother will not respond she decided to come down..
amma..' now she got her attention..her mother looked at her..

'illa maa..enakku athai ya romba pudikkum'
'apparam yen ipdi azhara?'..she asked her innocent daughter.
'amma avanga enna mothama avanga veetuku kootitu poren nu sonnanga!...naa ennoda amma appa kooda daan iruppen'..she hugged her mother who was double the height of hers..her hands circled her mother's waist..she silently sobbed in her mother's stomach.. her tears wetting her mother's saree.
To say her mother was too touched..even though at times they fight like a cat and mice they indeed can't live w/o each other like the same cat and mice..
She just smiled and sat on her knees to match her daughter's height..she hugged her daughter and patted her head..

'Navetha...' nave looked at her mother when she heard her mother uttered her full name..that only happens when she is angry on her..else she was her mother's nave or nave kutty..so like a obedient child she zipped her mouth..
'amma enna mama irukkum bodhu avanga veetukku anuppadhinga!..naa poga maaten..' saying this she went out..her mother looked at her daughter retreating back and shook her head smiling..
After 7 years
Ever obedient student Ms.Navetha was late to her school by 20 mins..
'hi nave!..' nave's friend asha waved her a hi when she spot her..

nave too joined her friends..

that day went by teasing nave endlessly with her mama!...ofcourse lack of scoldings and lot of punn sirippus from her side encouraged her friends..
After 8 years
'enna namma group la oru aalu miss aagudu!..nave enga?' asked nave's collage friend satya to kavya.
'theriyala di..inikku oru mukkiyamana vishyam sollanum nu solli oru get together poda sonna!..' at that time they spotted nave's school friends asha,ratna,sawmya,visha,chandu and janani..
'sumi enga?..' satya asked visha who was weaving her hand at them..
'sumi will pick up nave..i think they'll be on their way now..' replied visha turning back to her.
the spotted the subject soon coming on a bike..
with head bent down nave handed them a card to all of them..she blushed like hell...except sumi, her friends who never saw her like that find it difficult to believe their eyes. Ratna who recovered first opened the card..
she was semi shocked to see the name printed on wedding invitation.

All their friends showed their mock anger for hiding her love from friends..later they concealed and rejoiced for their friend..

Same cries..same eyes..same nose..and ofcourse same craze for dora boots blanket..he remembers how she still kept that dora blanket in her cupboard..even though its still worn out..
At night navetha sung a lullaby to put her daughter Nivetha into sleep..she gently placed her on crib and smiled when she saw the tiny bundle sleeping peacefully cuddling dora boots spongy teddy...but a newer version...😉
