im not a gamer at all....infact, i usually give up b4 passing the 1st level of
many games.

However, i'm totally addicted to the Wii......its the best thing thtz ever
happened to video games. I love it and would recommend it to all of you,
even those who are like me and dont like video games.

Great news is coming in guys, Singstar Bollywood is going to be released soon.

About Singstar series from Wiki...

SingStar is a karaoke video game for the PlayStation 2, published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and developed by SCEE and London Studio.

SingStar is distributed either as the software alone, or bundled with a pair of USB microphones - one red, one blue. SingStar is compatible with the EyeToy camera, allowing players to see themselves singing.

SingStar is a karaoke game in which players sing to music videos in order to score points. Players interface with their PS2 via SingStar-brand USB microphones (not compatible with any other game) while a music video plays on screen. Lyrics are shown at the bottom of the screen. SingStar matches a player's song voice to the original track, with players scoring points according to how accurate their singing is. Usually, two players compete simultaneously. Certain modes of SingStar may vary this basic pattern, but the principle is similar throughout. Thus, SingStar is a competitive singing game akin to Karaoke Revolution.

Modes

Game play modes include:

Sing Mode - general singing mode
Pass the Mic - multiplayer party games
Star Maker - a single player career mode
Up to 8 players can participate in SingStar's "Pass The Mic" mode, in which teams of players face off against each other in a series of singing challenges.

SingStar is unique in that it features a single player career mode. This mode was abandoned in favour of multi-player modes in future SingStar versions.

Recent versions of SingStar measure a player's pitch only, meaning that one can sing a SingStar note in any octave and still score for it. This allows some leniency for singers who may not be capable of singing a song in the same vocal range as the original recording.

SingStar can be played at 3 difficulty levels - easy, medium, and hard. The harder the difficulty setting, the less leeway the game allows for out of tune notes.

About Singstar Bollywood

Get a load of this tracklist! Good news is there's no Rihanna, no Kanye West, no...whoever else is big with the kids these days. No Fleetwood Mac, either, so we're good on both ends of the SingStar spectrum. Bad news is...who's ever heard of any of these artists? Or bands? Not me. Not you either, I bet ("you" excludes all Kotaku-reading Bollywood fans). So from a sales perspective, this should be...interesting!

If you enjoy short online games, you can also try out stick games like stick cricket, stick fight. If you have a taste for puzzles, there are various superb puzzle games (especially escaping from a room) available online, eg. crimson room, viridian room, white chamber, etc.

Let's have a more fun light hearted discussion. Do you game? Why or Why not, and how much? Which console do you prefer and why?

Personally, I am a huge fan of Nintendo.

How did I miss this topic?? Do I game, I am mad about them. No fancy console for me though, good ol PC works fine for me. Maybe because I got so habituated with playing games on my PC/ laptop that I never felt like trying out something else. Moreover, it was not very advisable to keep a gaming console in a college hostel.

Why I like gaming?? How can anyone dislike it. Such cheap, long duration, unadulterated fun are hard to get. Get hold of a game and you're assured of 10-12 hrs of sheer excitement. I am especially fond of action adventure games and point and click mystery/ adventure games. The first games that I played were car racing and harpooning fishes (don't remember the names as I was only 4 yrs old at that time) and later mario, contra etc. when they were played using tokens of Re.1. After that when I went to college, I used to play NFS 2, POP, Castle Wolfenstein a lot and sometimes Age of Empire. Then it was Return to Castle Wolfenstein. There are so many games I like, but some of the best that I've played are, Nightfire, No One Lives Forever 1 & 2, Medal of Honour, Call of Duty, Mafia, Counterstrike, The Movies, Syberia 1 & 2, Cricket 2002, NFS series, Gun and so many more.
