Raj, you may not be able to find a Wii (this is what I gathered from reading threads on various gaming forums), their demand > supply. Wii seems to be a great family console with simple and unique controller.

If you are thinking about 360, then I would suggest PS3 (OK I am biased bec'se I am a PS fan 😆 ) to you. It is solidly built (no mass hardware failures like 360), is a lot quiter compared to 360. It has built a good gaming library since launch (though 360 has a superior games library but than it launched a year earlier), it now has games catering to all tastes, online gaming is free, but you are not a hardcore gamer so games may not matter that much to you. It has inbuilt Wifi/Ethernet, inbuilt hard disk is swappable, you can plug in any laptop HDD and store your movies/songs.

Biggest plus IMO for a non-hardcore gamer is Blu-Ray. PS3 has a Blu-Ray disc drive in built (360 has DVD, Wii has DVD I think but it doesn't play DVDs). Blu-Ray is next gen media, DVD is last gen now. If you have a nice HDTV then Blu-Ray movies can really wow you.

And I just read today that latest firmware update for PS3 will enable it to play DivX (AVI) files from harddisk, so you can transfer your DivX movies from your PC to your PS3 HDD and watch them on your HDTV.

PS. I don't have a PS3 myself 😆 , but I plan to grab one as soon as it gets cracked 😉 and becomes a bit cheaper. 😊

as My Chinese friend sound Sankyu (for thanku) for response... Wii is able at local store for 249$ plus few games in free...but it seems even though Wii might sound good for parties, it doesn't have zing of a serious gamer which I can predict would lean into 😆😆

I had and played on Play station but lack of time let the interest level go down and then this IF addiction 😆....PS2 keepers have brain washed me a lot on PS3 but seems its hard to hack lolsssssss not me they say...X360 is very easy to play downloaded game... but both are costing way up...till am not sure the time can devote in them kinna of specktical...My best buddy has PS2 / Wii/X360 and punchers my brains everyday with games he played night before main reason I am planning get one to avoid some headache after playing one myself lolssssss thanks for suggestion let me go a feel of 3 over the long weekend would update on wat I finally get hooked up with. 😳😆 ...So do you watch weekly gaming promos and updates frequently...am sure you must be. Will send you the links that this friend of mine religiously watches 😊

Edit - BTW thoese links are at http://www.gamespot.com/ heard the podcast of last week pretty cool.

Wii is bad for kids.. it make them play games with unnatural controllers and unnatural motions.... Wii is coming with actual racquets, bats... etc so kids dont become...dancing robots...

Wii.............All the way

It's a revolution, at least gives me lot of exercise. Right now it is the hottest in the market, selling like hotcake even unable to suply as per demand. I know few PS or X-Box devotees got hooked to Wii.

Other good sites for reviews are Metacricticand IGN.

Currently I am excited for the Smash Bros Brawl game coming out next year. Super Smash is my favorite console game of all times.

More on my previous responses...

Wii that I got from internet order was faulty ... shutting down every few hours 😭 whatever i played wasn't really so interesting...have played wii before at friends too... thought of PS2 (being cheap) ...out of confusion went with X360... Pro edition costed $399 with extra remote and free games... again had played lot of games on friends X360 consoles..par apna, apna hi hota hai 😆 😆 started off with Call of Duty 4...mannn it was awesome experience... this time took no help from walkthroughs or cheats but took my own time reached mid of ACT II in 5 hours or so...every moment was worth it... Feels totally differnt then PC version... cann't wait to play god of wars on this console. Feels as of now like destiny lolss 42'' LCD ...surround sounds and call of duty aur kya chaiye life mey lolsss... will be trying PS 3 soon 👍🏼

God of War is a PS2 game. Maybe you are talking about Gears of War. 😆

So you bought a Wii and a 360? You could have got a PS3 for $399 instead.

BTW, an Indian Tech Portal is doing a "Win a PS3 contest"..forward this link to your friends in India. 😆

Maine to fill karke submit kar diya..

Let's have a more fun light hearted discussion. Do you game? Why or Why not, and how much? Which console do you prefer and why?

Personally, I am a huge fan of Nintendo.

🤔 I may be the only one in this thread who's not a die hard. I do play, but in moderation, unless it's the Sims2 then you can't get me off the PC. I don't have a preferred console. As long as it doesn't take a long time to load and I don't become bored of the games for them... *shrugs*😊
