The success of KKHH cannot be attributed to Rani,KKHH was an SRK-Kajol film which would have done well had ANY actress played the role of Tina....Rani was appreciated alright, but going so far as to calling it "her" hit is a bit unreasonable

Likewise, the success of OSO cannot be attributed to Deepika...OSO is an SRK film, which would have done well irrespective of the actress or the supporting cast...Deepika is glamourous, gorgeous and everything, but the success of OSO doesn't prove her supposed "star power"....And IMHO Deepika's acting ability surely isn't "terrific"...She isn't downright bad,but she ain't out of the world either.....

Vidya might not be a cheesecake, but she certainly is NOT in the same league as Antara Mali(who isn't the girl next door in any which way) or Gracy Singh whose career ended before it took off

Sure "she" has any part in any of those?????? 😆😆 Lage raho is definitely not her....if u like her say so... and i will accept that subjective comment - this argument otherwise is not going anywhere....😆

Haven't I already said that "But none of them were her solo hits, just as none of Rani/Preity/Kareena's initial hits were solo hits either"...So why reiterate a point that I've already conceded 😕...I definitely like her,but you see, none of my arguments have stemmed out of blind fancraze,I do believe I had some valid points to corroborate my stance😛

i know but she is not notceable in any of these either...hasnt left an impression, .just being in and around a successful movie is corroborative evidence of being successful...??!!? Rangeela was urmila alone, neither Jackie nor Amir, just as HDDCS was only Ash and veri little salman...Being good is not being in an around good film... they have to be really good and accepted😊

The scene where Deepika knows she cant escape from fire in OSO and expresses it through mixed feelings is one and only ones I have defended her prowess on, forget the other bright spots in the movie.. It was one of finely executed scenes, extremely distressing and disturbing.... She is going to go a long way mark my words..her emotive ability is extremely high, didnt expect that from a new comer...

I haven't watched either of them 😕 few days back I read an article on mid-day which said Sanjay should be called "Sanjay Neela Bhansali" cos the sets were all blue and depressing and the movie should be named "Baawariya" 😕 cos most of the people who went for it did not like it at all.

Well mate, for're forgetting Parineeta...I defy anyone to say Vidya wasn't noticable in Parineeta or that she didn't leave an indelible mark....You cite one scene from Om Shanti Om...I can cite numerous scenes from Parineeta where Vidya showcased a wide spectrum of emotions, and emoted so bloody well with her eyes alone, every single frame of Parineeta packed a punch....I agree Deepika was alright as Shantipriya, nothing extraordinary, but admittedly not terrible..But Deepika was pretty ho-hum as Sandy, whilst Parineeta was almost entirely Vidya's show, with Saif and Sanjay pitching in with wonderful performances too....Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a rubbish film which was almost unanimously panned by critics, yet Vidya managed to emerge unscathed(well,almost)...Ditto with Salaam-E-Ishq where everyone barring Vidya and Govinda hammed like there's no tomorrow🤢..

That Deepika is more emotive than Vidya is totally ridiculous, maybe you personally aren't very much impressed with Vidya, but I'll say this much for her....I yet have to watch her act embarrasingly badly....I've watched some of the so-called bigger and more talented stars like Ash, Kareena,Urmila, Rani,Preity etc ham/act wooden like nobody's business, whereas I'm yet to watch a cringeworthy performance of Vidya...

If we're considering the "acting prowess",then Vidya has more than proved her talent repeatedly...If we're talking about star-power,then I must say NONE of the contemporary leading ladies have had huge blockbuster movies which they carried solely on their shoulders....The hits of Ash,Rani,Preity etc has been with stars like SRK ,Salman,Hrithik etc.....Only MAdhuri and Sridevi delivered solo-hits,but they are legends, aren't they??...And I for one never said Vidya is a legend!!

Alas, the vicissitudes of filmmaking...Karan Johar's KANK recieved similar kind of dressing-down,censure and flak😆..KANK was rechristened KALANK,people trashed SRK and Rani for the onscreen infidelity ...When successful and acclaimed directors like K Jo,SLB,VVC etc make a muck of it,they are often criticised more harshly than some whatsisname filmmaker
